Lelo Ida Wave — Test & Review
My Verdict
To conclude, I would say that on a personal level, this toy doesn't really work for me. Whilst its interesting design intrigues me, it doesn't feel good - and that's exactly what sex toys are supposed to do. Perhaps the toy just doesn't suit my body in particular, but I have read of similar reviews, and it seems like the shape of the tail is a bit hit or miss, so you should consider what shape g-spot toys you prefer before purchasing the Lelo Ida Wave. You really can't fault the toy's quality, but I suppose that for the price tag you wouldn't expect to fault it in this category. Furthermore, what it may lack in execution, it makes up for in creativity, with its integrated Wavemotion technology and remote-controlled app. The toy has potential, it just needs a more user-focussed design.

About The Lelo Ida Wave
The Lelo Ida Wave vibrator is an interestingly shaped toy, with a flat, wide vibrating base for clitoral stimulation and a tail-shaped shaft to massage the internal G-spot. It has two separate motors which deliver double the stimulation, giving pleasure on the inside and out. The internal motor has a Wavemotion vibration which gives a feeling of rotation, similar to that of fingers, whilst the external motor provides strong vibrations. The toy can be controlled via an app on your phone, allowing the user to adjust the vibrations via the app, making the overall experience more seamless and enjoyable.
The vibrations of the Lelo Ida Wave are noisy, extremely powerful, and very rumbly
Pros
- ✅The toy is remote controlled using an app
- ✅Made from high-quality materials
- ✅Packaged nicely with its own velvet storage bag
Cons
- ❌Some might find the tail uncomfortable
- ❌Wavemotion stimulation could be stronger
- ❌The rumble of the vibrator is fairly loud

Unwrapping the Lelo Ida Wave: My Experience
I was excited to try this product. This was based on my first impressions of it – i.e. the box’s plush design, and the overall look and feel of the toy. It looks like no other toy that I have tried before, and whilst I couldn’t imagine the insertable tail being that effective, due to its small size, I was intrigued by its design and had high hopes that it would provide me with a sensation I had never experienced before. Unfortunately, it didn’t quite live up to my expectations. I quickly found that the tail didn’t work with my body and felt uncomfortable. The Wavemotion technology wasn’t as strong as I would like, and the shape and fit of the tail was awkward. The flat vibrating base, however, delivered an amazing vibration, which was strong and rumbly – a sensation which was made even better by the remote controlled aspect of the toy. I actually decided to take the tail out and just use the vibrating base, which was a much more comfortable and enjoyable use of the toy.
The Design: A Closer Look
From an outside perspective, the Lelo Ida Wave looks like it's been designed by the Gods. It's sleek and sultry, and has clearly been made using high quality materials. However, after using the product, it becomes clear that the shape won’t work well for everyone. We'll get into it more, but the design of the toy feels unbalanced and actually felt a little uncomfortable for me at times, which was disappointing, considering the initial delight I felt at unboxing the toy.
