Male to female ratio

As it’s visible from the population overall use of eHarmony it is dominantly used amongst men. Looking at how this means for the ratio between men and women currently on the dating service, we find that:

  • 47% of eHarmony users are women
  • 53% of eHarmony users are men
  • The ratio between men and women on eHarmony is that there is 9 women for every 10 men on the platform.
  • There are 11% more men on eHarmony than women.

Succes rate on eHarmony

  • 72% of inactive users have found lasting love through eHarmony.

Interest in eHarmony

Instead of taking a look at the raw data of user-count, revenue and other statistics on the user base of eHarmony, we looked at the interest in the general public both over time and by each state.

  • eHarmony has been around since 2000 were it launced. Meaning it has been around for more than 20 years by now.
  • eHarmony was the very first algorithm-based dating service that offered automatic matchmaking based on questionnaires.
  • Neil Clark Warren founded eHarmony with his son-in-law, Greg Forgatch in 2000. He since left the company in 2016.
  • eHarmony actually started as a seminar company 5 years prior in 1995.
  • The founder, Neil Clark Warren, being a clinical psychologist hired TechEmpower to develop eHarmony.
  • In 2009 eHarmony had a cummulative turnover of more than $1B USD.
  • eHarmony employs more than 200 people.
