How Each Sliquid Product Was Tested
In order to have a fair comparison between each product, I used a standardized set of factors to rate each product. While I also highlighted any outstanding differences between the options, factors like longevity, ingredients, price point, and general quality were what I focused on the most.
To avoid bias, I sourced my information from a few different sources, starting with reviews from fellow Bedbible members (when possible). If our reviews hadn’t tried that product yet, then I looked at a combination of manufacturer information and real customer reviews to get an accurate summary of the product.

What Makes Sliquid Lubes Special?
Although there are many different sexual health and wellness companies around, there is one major thing that makes Sliquid stand out from the competition: its history!
Sliquid was founded back in 2002 by Dean Elliot. His wife had a sensitivity to glycerin, which inspired Dean to create lubricants without sugar or sugar derivatives.
That leads us up to the current day and the major difference between Sliquid lubes and other lubes. Unlike the competition, Sliquid products are proudly free from glycerin and other questionable additives!

- Water-based – Compatible with all sex toys and condom-safe, this type of lube is a great all-purpose solution. It’s a great choice for vaginal sex. The only downside? It doesn’t last as long as other types of lube.
- Silicone-based – This type of lube offers superior lubrication when compared to water-based lubes, can be used for any sexual acts, and is sometimes used in dual-purpose products (such as lube/massage oils). However, it can’t be used with silicone sex toys.
- Oil-based – This type of lube can often double as a massage oil. It excels at both vaginal and anal sex, but you should avoid using it for oral. Oil-based lubes will also damage latex, meaning you’ll be limited to using non-latex condoms with this type of lube.

Out of all the different lubricants offered by Sliquid, I ended up choosing this one as the “Test Winner”. True, it may not offer any fancy features like flavors or temperature changes, but it’s this simplicity that makes it have such a wide appeal.
Being water-based, you can safely use it with all different types of sex toys, which is always a plus. However, as some users have pointed out, this blend isn’t quite as thick as it could be, and won’t provide lubrication forever.
It’s not the cheapest lube either, although it’s certainly not the most expensive. Think higher mid-range pricing. So, is it worth your hard-earned money?
I’d say it is! While the H20 Original is a fairly plain lube and might not be the best for those looking to spice things up in the bedroom, I think it excels as a general-purpose lube.

Like with other Sliquid lubes, this lube is pH balanced neutral, hypoallergenic, and vegan. This means it instantly appeals to a wide audience, especially those with sensitive skin types.
It’s a bit thicker than other anal water-based lubes from other brands. Even so, it could be thicker, as the formula doesn’t last as long as silicone lubes and isn’t suitable for massage use.
