The Testing Process
Many review websites rely on a single source for information, but that’s not how we do things here at Bedbible.com. Instead, we use a combination of personal testing (when possible), customer feedback, and available manufacturer information to come to a conclusion for each product. We pride ourselves on taking an honest and transparent approach to our reviews so you’ll know whether we’ve personally tested a product or not (if we have, there will be a “Read full review” link!). Each product is assigned a “Bedbible Rating” score, which is calculated based on a product’s performance in the following categories: “Design”, “Ease of Use”, and “Quality”. You can use this rating as a quick reference for our overall thoughts on a product, or read the written sections for a more in-depth review.
Types of Strap Ons Popular with Lesbians
Different types of straps ons for lesbians are held in place using different methods. We’ve included a brief overview of the different types available below for you to compare.
- Strapless Strap-On – These strap ons use a dual-end design, where one end functions as the actual “dildo” that will penetrate your partner. The other end is curved and often features a bulbed end, which is designed to be held in place by your vaginal muscles during use. Though these don’t specifically require using a harness, they can often be used alongside a harness for the best combination of control and stimulation.
- Traditional Harness – These strap ons use adjustable harnesses to hold the dildo in place. If you prefer adjustability then you’ll likely want to purchase this style. Many harnesses allow the wearer to adjust the mounting position and the band size of the harness, reducing the likelihood of your new purchase not fitting properly.
- Underwear/Boxer Harness – Essentially, this type of harness is underwear or boxers that are designed to support a strap-on dildo during use. Although more comfortable than a traditional harness design, they lack any reasonable level of adjustability.
- Vibrating Strap-On – These either have a dildo with built in vibrations or a bullet vibrator that can be slipped inside a pocket in the harness.
What to Consider When Buying a Lesbian Strap-On
When selecting a lesbian strap-on there are a few different factors you’ll want to take into consideration. Below, we’ve gathered a few different items for you to refer to when comparing potential toy options!
- Harness Type – Different harness designs will offer different experiences, varying in levels of comfort and control over the dildo. Some strap-ons can even be used without a harness, which may present an option worth looking into.
- Dildo Length & Girth – Although many strap-ons include a dildo alongside the strap, it’s also possible to buy a standalone harness. Regardless, strap-on sizes vary widely, giving you plenty of options when selecting a dildo. Just make sure that your dildo will fit inside of the harness if purchasing the harness and dildo separately!
- Materials – Non-porous, body-safe materials like silicone, metal, and glass are always best for internal use toys. The material used will affect how the toy “feels” when inserted, so it’s best to put some thought into this factor.
- Adjustability – Different types of harnesses will offer different levels of adjustability. Traditional harnesses have the most adjustability since they use actual straps, whereas strap-on underwear and strapless strap-ons can’t really be adjusted that much.
- Dildo Realism – This all comes down to personal preference: do you want your dildo to look like a genuine penis, or do you prefer more fantasy-inspired toys? The world is your oyster!
- Features – Many strap ons for lesbians offer additional features like vibrations (inside of the dildo itself), bullet vibrators to stimulate the wearer, and even remote controls for less-invasive operations. Consider these available options when making your selection.
- Price – Prices vary widely, so you should establish a set budget before comparing your options. Remember, bearing a brand name alone doesn’t justify paying a premium! If your preferred strap-on meets all of your requirements but exceeds your preferred price range, check to see if financing options are available.
Test winner Tracey Cox Supersex Strap-On Pegging Kit
The Tracey Cox Supersex strap on pegging kit a great all-rounder as it comes with two different sized dildos. I think it’s also a nice touch that they have different textures and both come with a suction cup bases.
The harness is fully adjustable – able to fit hips up to 65-inches. Plus, it’s fully washable and can fit a variety of different sized dildos.
I also love that it comes with a bullet vibrator that slips inside the harness for some added stimulation for the wearer or inside the bigger of the two dildos.
Finally, the kit contains 3 different sized O rings so that you can use any different sized dildos that you have, or would like to buy.
Pros
- ✅ Two different size dildos
- ✅ Bullet vibe can be worn in harness or dildo
- ✅ Comfortable, adjustable harness
- ✅ Comes with multiple O rings
Cons
- ❌ Vibrator may not that strong
- ❌ Long straps can be awkward on smaller bodies
- ❌ Packaging unnecessarily gendered
- ❌ Bullet vibe takes small batteries that are hard to find
Verdict
The Tracey Cox Supersex strap on pegging kit is an almost perfect beginner strap on for lesbians in my opinion! I can also see this being a kit that can grow with your experience and your exploration, as the O-rings allow you to use.
There are a couple of things that I would love to see improved, though. The first being the unnecessary gendering of the product. Calling it a pegging dildo is very heteronormative, as it only refers to a female partner using the strap-on on a male partner, when in reality this set can be used by anyone! Also, it would be much better if the bullet was rechargeable or took batteries that are easier to find.

Cheapest Sportsheets Bikini Harness and Dildo Strap On Kit
The Sportsheets Bikini Harness and Dildo Strap On Kit is a great budget priced set. I would say it makes a great set for first timers or those that only use a strap-on occasionally.
It consists of an adjustable harness – fits up to 60-inch hips, that has a decorative thong back, a silicone dildo that is 6.5-inches in length and 1.25-inches diameter.
The harness is machine washable and you can use any dildo of the same diameter with it. The dildo is a fabulous colour and is the Sportsheets “Skyn” range. It has a luscious bulbous head that’s perfect for G-spot stimulation.
Pros
- ✅ A great budget priced strap on kit
- ✅ Fully adjustable and decorative back
- ✅ Silicone dildo with a bulbous head
Cons
- ❌ Thong back can be uncomfortable
- ❌ Straps aren't very wide
- ❌ Harness will only take one size dildo
Verdict
If you’re looking for a harness and dildo kit and don’t want to break the budget then the Sportsheets Bikini harness and strap on dildo kit is worth a look.
While I think this is pretty good value for money, I can see some drawbacks. Firstly, the harness will only accommodate 1.25-inch diameter dildos if you want to try a different dildo, so it does limit what you can use.
Secondly, the straps are pretty thin so don’t offer a huge amount of support.
I would say this is great for occasional use but you would be better off investing a little more for a studier harness if you are going to use it more regularly.

Beginner Tantus Bend Over Intermediate Harness Kit
Although this is the intermediate kit, I think this is actually a fantastic beginners option, as the smallest dildo is just 1.25 inches in diameter!
The kit contains a washable durable harness with a soft pad at the front, 2 high-quality silicone dildos, 2 different sized O rings and a waterproof bullet vibrator. The single-speed bullet vibrator fits into a pocket in the harness itself to give the wearer some gorgeous tingly vibes.
The harness itself is comfortable and is adjustable between 15-inches and 60-inches (approximately US dress sizes 4-30). It has poppers at the front and is suitable for other strap on toys.
The dildos themselves are 5-inches and 6.5 inches in length and they are both curved with bulbous heads for the ultimate in sweet spot stimulation.
Pros
- ✅ A complete strap on harness kit
- ✅ Great quality
- ✅ Dildos shaped for G-spot stimulation
- ✅ Includes bullet vibrator
