My Verdict
I loved the Fetish Fantasy Extreme Spider Gag! I was pleased with the overall quality and how easy it was to use despite it looking so intimidating! The leather strap is a tiny bit too wide to fit smoothly through the buckle loop so it can be fiddly to get on and take off. If you have limited hand or finger strength it might be a problem, but I did find that it got a bit better over time. The metal feels surprisingly comfortable, although the 'spikes' are a bit sharper than I would have preferred them. It's an amazing gag for provoking excessive drooling and it just looks incredibly BDSM-y! I love how easily it can amplify the kinky feel in any scenario and make you feel completely at your partner's mercy.

Sexy Saliva?
As the true sex toy tester that I am, I have developed a habit for trying out or “testing” things in pretty a casual manner before actually bringing them into the bedroom. Especially with BDSM gear, it’s easy to flog yourself a little to gauge the sensation or put a collar on as you’re walking around the house to see if it feels comfortable or stiff. When I first received the Fetish Fantasy Extreme Spider Gag, I decided to put it on sitting at my desk while finishing up some tasks. I immediately felt that it was surprisingly comfortable despite the spikes keeping my lips open and the o-ring being made of rigid metal. But the strap also closed comfortably around my head and I honestly got excited about using this with my partner. I had been a bit scared of using a spider gag before and the level of comfort made me feel much better. That day, I wanted to get feel for what it was like to wear for a longer period of time. Although, I quickly had to shelve this casual testing phase because I quickly started drooling onto my desk! Thanks to the design keeping your lips wide open, this thing is an amazing tool for provoking excessive drooling–and fast! Not very casual nor very practical when you’re just trying to be a productive girlie!Ouch!
When I did try it with my partner, we both were a bit apprehensive because of the spikes jotting out around the o-ring. We usually love using our Fetish Fantasy Extreme O-ring Gag but that is covered in silicone and completely flat. Admittedly, the spikes on this spider gag did make it a lot less inviting for my partner to stick any of his body parts in my mouth. Since they were quite sharp and not as blunt as I had hoped (I am but a soft kinkster after all…), it did force us to act and move with caution under the threat of being poked and prodded. That is kind of the point after all, isn’t it? On the bright side, I found that it was actually easier to have some oral fun because things glide a bit more smoothly through the metal compared to the silicone coating I’m used to from the o-ring gag I own! I really like the look of the Fetish Fantasy Extreme Spider Gag. Well, I like to look at it more than I like to look at myself wearing it. It effectively spreads your lips wide open and I don't know if I'm at fan of that look on myself. Although, my partner did seem like he was a fan. Something about the primal look of it, I guess. But overall, I do think it's a surprisingly elegant looking spider gag.

The Fetish Fantasy Extreme Spider Gag is pretty straightforward to use and looks a lot more complicated than it is! The ring goes into your mouth behind your teeth and the spikes help keep your lips open. Now, I did find that it took some time to get used to this sensation. I had to find which placement didn't pinch my lips between the metal and my teeth. The leather strap, however, is a bit too wide to fit smoothly into the buckle so it can be a bit fiddly. Although, I think this improves over time.
Quality
Having tried a few other products from Fetish Fantasy, I know that high quality isn't always a given. But some of their products stand out and really deliver on quality and materials. The Fetish Fantasy Extreme Spider Gag is one of those. It feels like a quality construction made of good, durable, and long-lasting materials.
Price
The Fetish Fantasy Extreme Spider Gag is pretty reasonably priced in my opinion. For something that surprised me in terms of quality and durability, I think it's well worth the price point! It will also last a long time with the proper care.

The biggest con is that you can remove the gag itself from the strap to clean it thoroughly. That said, the design makes it easy to clean without getting the leather too wet.
