Vibrations
Specifications
Pros

- ✅ Provides firm and effortless grip
- ✅ Soft and smooth medical grade silicone
- ✅ Indents will fit most finger sizes
- ✅ Versatile use
Cons
- ❌ Tether doesn't fit larger fingers
- ❌ Vibrations are quite buzzy
- ❌ Loud on high intensity
Why I Chose It
I was lucky enough to test out the Dame Fin for myself. Now, I may be biased but I had no doubt in my mind that it was going to be the Test Winner of this review. This tiny little finger vibrator is so incredibly powerful, luxurious, and versatile.
While it may be considered a con that it only has 3 settings and one button to scroll through them, I’m gonna tell it to you straight. You don’t need more than three! Once you get to the highest setting, you probably won’t last long anyway. That was my experience, at least!
Now, even though I’m not a fan of buzzy vibrations (which the Dame Fin definitely has) I somehow don’t really care once it’s doing its thing. I think that has a lot to do with the quality of the vibrator. The sensations are buzzy but not weak or superficial.
While the tether didn’t fit my slightly larger than average fingers very comfortably, it was easily removable. The indents in the actual toy seemed to fit my fingers a lot better. Still, I appreciate that it’s there for added stability.
Last but not least, my favorite part is versatility. Use it over or under your fingers for more or less direct contact with your clitoris. The two different sides also offer different sensations. There’s more firm, pinpoint pleasure, or more broad, flat, and squishy sensations.
Budget-Friendly Lovehoney Ignite Finger Vibrator
- Rechargeable finger vibrator with a slightly curved tip
- 1 button to scroll through 20 different settings
- Slightly stretchy finger loop.
Vibrations
Specifications
Pros
- ✅ Super beginner-friendly
- ✅ A lot of different vibration settings to explore
- ✅ 100% waterproof
- ✅ Affordable
Cons
- ❌ Buzzy vibrations
- ❌ Awkward button placement
- ❌ The finger loop may not fit larger fingers
Why I Chose It
The Lovehoney Ignite is both an affordable and super beginner-friendly option for those who aren’t quite ready (or willing) to invest in an expensive finger vibrator. For the relatively small price it’s sold at, it actually offers some impressive features.
I am quite impressed with how many different vibrations settings this tiny device has to offer. 20 different speeds and patterns! I think this would make it great for teasing or edging both for solo play or with a partner. It’s also fully submersible and ideal for some fun in the shower or bath.
Now, this vibrator isn’t perfect either. It has more buzzy than rumbly vibrations. Even though it is a question of preference, I know that most cheaper vibrators with buzzy vibrations tend to be more surface-level, and can end up making fingers and hands numb after a while.
Our tester, Edie, also noted that she “was disappointed that the control button is on the bottom of the toy, instead of the body. Because of that, you have to use your other hand to cycle through the settings“.
Even though she also mentions that the finger loop is quite stretchy and will fit most fingers, I am inclined to suggest that it actually won’t feel comfortable for those with very large fingers. Keep that in mind before purchasing, since it’s difficult to hold otherwise.
Best for Beginners VeDO Yumi Clitoral Finger Vibrator
- Large finger vibrator with a broad stimulation surface
- Two indents at the top to slide in between two fingers
- Small nub at the tip for pinpoint stimulation
- One button scrolls through 10 vibration settings.
Vibrations
Specifications
Pros
- ✅ Versatile design
- ✅ Powerful vibrations
- ✅ Great for using with a partner
- ✅ Will fit most finger sizes
Cons
- ❌ Buzziness can make fingers and hands go numb
Why I Chose It
I picked out the VeDO Yumi as the best option for beginners because of its size and shape. It’s also my top recommendation for a beginner-friendly finger vibrator because it won’t break the bank and still delivers surprisingly powerful vibrations. Edie, our tester, noted that the quality matches the power: “It runs like a jet plane engine and doesn’t get the least bit warm.”
First of all, the grip is very ergonomic and works beautifully as an extension of your fingers. Edie liked that “the way it stays in place with zero effort, is fantastic, and it’s incredibly comfortable ”. It’s also the kind of grip that fits larger fingers as well as slimmer ones.
The rounded body with a pinpoint nub at the end provides stimulation to a large surface area, allowing beginners to explore the pleasure of vibrations on the labia as well as the clitoris. I think both the shape and grip design make it a good toy for transitioning between manual stimulation to using vibrators.
One con is that the vibrations are more buzzy than rumbly. Not only may this not be everyone’s preferred sensation, it can also leave hands and fingers feeling quite numb after a few minutes.
Most Versatile Screaming O Charged Positive Finger Vibrator
- Bullet vibrator with a finger holder attachment
- One button to scroll through 20 different vibration settings
- Finger attachment doubles as a charging stand.
Vibrations
Specifications
Pros
- ✅ Great for any kind of external stimulation
- ✅ Angular tip provides pinpoint pleasure
- ✅ Surprisingly powerful, rumbly vibrations
Cons
- ❌ Quite loud
- ❌ The grip isn't as secure as with other finger vibrators
- ❌ Difficult to reach button mid-play
Why I Chose It
The Screaming O Charged Positive is basically a bullet vibrator with an attachment that turns it into a finger vibrator. Even though finger vibrators are pretty easy to use as is, I think the finger attachment makes it a lot easier and fun to use. Especially with a partner, or if you simply enjoy the idea of using it as an extension of your finger rather than gripping it. The size and shape of this bullet also makes it ideal to use for either precise pinpoint fun, or use the longer side to pamper a broader area of the body.
I have to admit, I was personally skeptical when I first learned about this toy. Something about the design didn’t exactly scream ‘high-end, good quality finger vibrator’ to me. I am brave enough to admit it when I’m wrong. This little bullet vibrator packs quite the punch is a lot more rumbly than it looks or sounds. As Edie, our tester, noted:
“If you like power, it only takes minutes to get you where you want to go. Plus, the vibrations are so deep, that they echo through your entire vulva (or penis)! Oh my goodness, this thing creates the most out-of-this-world orgasms.”
Of course, the powerful vibrations come with a catch. It’s noisy. It wouldn’t be my first choice if I wanted full discretion.
While I usually only use and recommend 100% non-porous materials like silicone, ABS plastic, metal, or glass when it comes to sex toys, I need to get off my high horse in regards to this vibrator. The finger attachment is made of ABS plastic. Great! The bullet vibe itself is coated with PU (polyurethane), which is actually considered hypoallergenic and doesn’t promote the growth of bacteria. So, it is more body-safe than you would expect! Of course, being fully waterproof, it’s also super easy to clean thoroughly between uses.
Best Wearable Fantasy for Her Finger Vibrator
- Dual-function: works as a finger vibrator and a wearable panty vibrator
- Curved shape targets the clitoris and the surrounding nerve endings
- Adjustable strap works as a finger loop
- One button to scroll through 10 vibration settings.
Vibrations
Specifications
Pros
- ✅ Versatile use and great for public play
- ✅ Wide stimulation area targets a large part of the vulva around the clitoris
- ✅ Very quiet vibrations
- ✅ Great for beginners
Cons
- ❌ Does not offer any pinpoint stimulation
- ❌ The strap is still loose on slimmer hands and fingers
Why I Chose It
I simply had to include the Fantasy For Her Finger Vibrator in this review because of its unique design. By now you should know that I love finger vibrators. But what I love even more is when vibrators are designed to be wearable as well!
The adjustable strap on this device allows you to fasten it securely to your underwear and go about your day. I think this is great if you enjoy public play, or enjoy walking around with it as foreplay (or just to make chores around the house a lot more fun!).
One con about the adjustable strap is that it doesn’t quite tighten enough to stay put. When using it as a finger vibrator you might find yourself struggling to keep it in place if you have slimmer fingers.
In terms of size and shape, it’s a bit of mixed bag. Our tester, Katie, liked the ergonomic shape of the vibrator and thought “the toy fit nicely in my hand and followed the curves of my body as well as my fingers, so it was very easy to navigate and control“. However, she also noted that “it felt quite big when I strapped it to my underwear. Even though it felt good, it felt quite bulky and not that subtle.”

If You’re Looking For…
- The most powerful finger vibrator – The Dame Fin will actually knock your socks off with sheer vibration intensity. Not for the faint-hearted but perfect for anyone who does struggle with lack of sensitivity!
- The most couple-friendly finger vibrator – While I would argue that all finger vibrators are couple-friendly, the VeDO Yumi is the best for partnered sex. The wide surface area (with the small tip for pinpoint sensations) is ideal for using on different parts of the body (like the scrotum, perineum, frenulum, or nipples).
- The most value for money – Since the Fantasy for Her Finger Vibrator can be used as a panty vibrator as well, I think it unlock a whole new level of play. It’s one of the most versatile products on this list that’ll give you the most bang for your buck.
Things To Consider When Choosing a Finger Vibrator
- Power – What kind of power would you like your finger vibrator to have? If you are a beginner or have very sensitive genitalia, it may be best to try a finger vibrator with softer vibrations.
- Rechargeable vs Battery-Pperated – Rechargeable toys tend to harbor more power, whereas battery-operated tend to hold weaker vibrations. Battery-operated toys are great for travel, while rechargeable is more convenient.
- Settings – Would you prefer your toy to have lots of vibration/pattern settings, or are you content with one or two?
- Textured vs Smooth – Textured finger vibrators can be great for sensation play, and G/P-spot stimulation, while smooth finger vibrators tend to disperse vibrations evenly over an area.
Style & Design
It’s important to figure out what exactly you want in a finger vibrator. Ask yourself which sensations you usually like and what you would prioritize in a sex toy like this?
- Do you need it to be discreet and quiet?
- Do you want a clit sucker or a vibrator?
- Do you prefer a longer and slimmer fingertip vibe or a shorter more compact one for more surface stimulation?
Materials
Choosing the material of your new finger vibrator means understanding the pros and cons of the different kinds of materials available out there.
- Silicone – Silicone is one of the best materials for a finger vibrator as it is flexible, easy to clean, and completely non-porous and body-safe.
- ABS Plastic – ABS is a type of hard plastic that is great for those who prefer rigid and targeted pleasure; it is easy to clean, body-safe and non-porous, however it does not withstand heat.
- Materials to avoid – Soft plastic, Jelly, PVC, and TPE are all porous materials, meaning no matter how well you clean it, they will harbor bacteria in the small pores and degrade quicker. Some of these materials also contain phthalates, which are known to be harmful to the body.
Price Range
Although finger vibes aren’t known to be the most expensive of sex toys out there, they can still be quite pricey. When it comes to sex toys, you also often get what you paid for, so it would be a good idea to consider some things before purchasing your fingertip vibrator:
- What’s my budget?
- Should I get a cheaper one to try out the sensation first as a beginner?
- Do I want to invest in a good quality product that will last for longer?
How Does a Finger Vibrator Work?
Let’s understand the basics of how these babies work, shall we?
A finger vibrator, surprisingly enough, is a small vibrator that goes on your finger or around your finger. Usually with an ergonomic design that allows you to easily hold it in place.
They are meant to be used as an extension of your own finger. Some finger vibes can be slipped over a finger to be worn like a tiny vibrating glove. Others look like regular eggs vibrators or kegel vibrators or bullet vibrators that simply have som kind of a attachment, like a ring, to slip your finger through. Some have a small grip design that’s made to be held in between two fingers.
Since finger vibrators are so small and meant to be used mainly as an extension of your own fingers, they are ideal for absolute sex toy beginners! You can continue with your regular masturbation routine and continue to pleasure yourself with your fingers in the ways that you’re used to, only just with some added stimulation from the vibrations and the design of your finger vibe.
Some of them will feature small designs that provide extra stimulation. Here are some examples of how finger vibrators work to provide you with all sorts of pleasure!
Texture
Raised nubs or ridges on soft silicone might just rub your clit the right way.
Design
Different shapes and designs on your finger vibe can change eveyrthing. Maybe a rabbit-like design could be just what your clit needs!
Internal shaft
A versatile vibrating shaft designed to slide on your finger for internal vibes as well as external.
Elongated
An elongated finger vibrator will allow you to extend the length of your finger, if you’re having trouble reaching your sweet spots!
Benefits of Using a Finger Vibrator
What are the actual benefits of using these finger vibes, you ask? I can’t blame you. If I didn’t know what these were, I would probably also be asking: what’s in it for me and my clit?
The short story is that these vibes are small and non-intimidating, great for partnered play, discreet, easily transportable, and affordable – they really are great sex toys for sex toy newbies!
Let me list all of the pros and cons of having one of these little guys tucked away in your bedside drawer.
Pros
- They basically turn your hand into a vibrator…
- You can go about your usual masturbatory choreography with an added spice of vibration
- Small and discreet – fits right in your purse!
- Can be super versatile
- Compact yet powerful
- Ideal for use during partnered sex
- Great travel buddy – easily transportable
- Quite affordable compared to other kinds of vibrators
- Come in sorts of shapes and designs to cater to different stimulation needs
- Can elongate your finger for better reach
- Can be used to stimulate other sweet spots – nipples, labia, anus (no insertion though!), scrotum, perineum, or just dragged over the skin for sensation play.
Cons
- Cannot offer super intense internal stimulation (not for all the girth-queens out there)
- Often don’t provide many different vibration settings to explore
- Are sometimes less powerful than other vibrators
- Some can make your fingers go numb after a while
- People with grip or mobility issues (like finger arthritis) can find it challenging to use finger vibrators.
Vibration Power in Finger Vibrators
There can be a huge difference to the vibration intensity in your finger vibrator depending on the individual product. The vibrations really do come in a wide range of intensities and different vibration modes available.
Some finger vibrators are just bullet vibrators with a finger attachment – they are often a tad more powerful. Then there are larger finger vibrators that have versatile insertable shafts or unique designs that might not be as intense but can offer a lot more versatility in pleasure.
Finger vibrators aren’t known to be the most powerful in the world – but for good reason! They’re actually not supposed to be overwhelmingly strong. Since they’re held between your fingers or slipped over your finger, too intense vibrations may easily make your fingers or hand go numb during use. So naturally, they can’t pack the punch of magic wand vibrator!
In the review above, I’ve tried my best to rate the intensities based on user reviews and our own testers. So you can check out the comparisons I’ve made for the products included in this round-up review at least!
