My Verdict
My experience with the Gläs Realistic Dildo is a textbook example of underestimating just how intensely glass dildos can perform. When Gläs said ribbed they truly meant it, as it felt like my insides were being juiced — which in this case is NOT a good thing. I found the girth of this monster far too large. Even the weight was heavier than I expected, making my wrist cramp when I used it (riding was out of the question unless I wanted to actually be impaled). This toy is crafted well, but simply wasn't for me. I'll instead be using it to knock out intruders if they enter the house unexpectedly at night (and in the meantime I'll stick to glass G-spot stimulators).

Because it is made of glass, all lube types can be used directly on the toy. The dildo can also be safely heated or chilled for sensory play. The toy is 8" long but only 6.5" is insertable. The diameter is 1.7" on the tip and 1.65" on the shaft (5.25" diameter/girth). Because of the flared base, this toy is anal-safe.

Personal Experience
My personal experience with the Gläs 8″ Realistic Ribbed Dildo was not the most positive.
Purchase
Gone are the days of smooth crystal-clear dildos; I was excited to purchase this toy as it offered stiff ridges I don’t typically see featured on other glass offerings—as well as a defined head and realistic pair of balls (perfect for helping the toy stand upright). The package arrived on time, and much to my shock, it was HEAVY. Much heavier than I expected, considering it was listed as lightweight online. Because I was underestimating its size it was an uncomfortable clean and an even more uncomfortable use.In Use
Lube, lube, and even more lube. That’s the only way I could even ATTEMPT to use the dildo. For me, the most sensation was at my entrance where it was pushing in. I could see this working well with someone who needs girth, a popping sensation with each ridge, and a hard material to clench down on.Overall
Look, I think that this toy is beautiful but I would recommend taking out a tape measure and really comprehending the dimensions of the product you’re about to buy. For me, the Gläs 8″ Realistic Ribbed Glass Dildo is far too big! Perhaps if the material was a bit more flexible I would be singing a different tune. But, because of the craftsmanship and ease of cleanliness, I will be purchasing from this brand again—just something not as intimidating!Design
The design is well crafted, specifically the ridges. They are very prominent and provide intense stimulation when in use. There was not a point where I wasn't gliding over one of the high ridges—as they are grouped close together. But in my opinion, in combination with the straight inflexibility of the glass dildo and the weight, I am not a fan of the design. This is made for a very specific person who isn't me.
Ease of Use
This is not a toy for people with mobility or grip issues. It was hard to hold with the amount of lube I used for it to fit without pain. Also, the pure weight was hard on my wrist so I gave thrusting up after a while, deciding that the work was not worth the uncomfortable angle I found myself in.
Quality
The toy feels very sturdy and won't have any issues unless you purposely try to shatter it against another hard surface (like a hard floor or the side of a sink). Even with the ridges, it is very easy to clean. My only complaint is the weight. If you have a weak wrist it might be a bit hard to keep steady in the sink while washing with soap.
Price
The price is fair. I bought my toy online when it was on sale for about $15. From my own experience, I wouldn't pay more than $60 for the dildo and wouldn't recommend it unless it is EXACTLY what you want. Within the box, I also received a red velvet bag for the toy, but I never use it because it attracts cat fur and dust. I keep the toy in a fitted box so it doesn't hit anything by accident and chip while in storage.
Performance
I would say the dildo lives up to the promises it made online, besides being lightweight (it might be relatively lightweight for glass toys but there was no clarification online). For me, I ended up not enjoying what I purchased, it was too big (and it hurt, even with lube). But I respect the quality of the glass and enjoy how easy it is to clean.
Packaging
The Realistic Ribbed Dildo was shipped in a discreet brown shipping box and packed so it wouldn't get bumped around in delivery. The design of the packaging itself is bland. I'm not a fan of the sterile blue and white design. I could see how the box would do well on shelves as it list many of the key components of the toy such as it being hypoallergenic. But as someone who likes a bit of flair, the box was underwhelming.
Materials and care
The toy is made of 100% borosilicate glass. Being such, it is waterproof and can be cleaned with mild soap and water, toy cleaner, or boiled for full sanitation (common safety applies when dealing with hot glass). The toy is very easy to clean and stores well when prevented from bumping against other items. It comes with a little storage bag but I prefer to keep it in a small box so it can't chip by accident.
