My Experience With Lovehoney Extra Powerful Wand Vibrator

Right out of the package I was pretty impressed with the design of this wand. Maybe they won me over with the purple, I’m not sure. But I had high hopes for this wand almost immediately. The silicone is soft, but sturdy, and I really enjoyed the resistance in the neck, as I am a member of the “ALL THE PRESSURE PLEASE” group.

Design

The Lovehoney Extra Powerful Wand Vibrator is your standard wand massager, with a round, soft silicone head and long handle. The design features an easy to use scroll wheel as its 'on-off' function, and an extra long plug in cord so you're not fussing with half-dead batteries in the heat of the moment! It comes in purple (my favorite), white, and classic black. The only thing I found I didn't like about the design is it is a bit hefty. If you struggle with grip strength like I do, it might be best to let your partner control this one. ;)

Ease of Use

There's really only one way to use the Lovehoney Extra Powerful Wand Vibrator, which is: plug in, turn the wheel down towards 'on' and away you go! Honestly it may be the easiest vibrator I've ever used. It doesn't have different vibration patterns to choose from, but I did notice that the higher you turn the wheel, the more 'buzzy' the vibrations got over 'rumbly'. I personally enjoyed the wheel control over the buttons on other vibrators I've used, and it did seem like less of a learning curve when I handed it to my partner and said "Try this!".

Quality

Over all, this wand feels much nicer than any others I have tried, including the OG Hitachi wand. It is a bit heavier, but I think that adds to the overall luxurious feel to the toy. The silicone head is soft and smooth, and while the neck does bend, it still offers more resistance than less expensive models. This is an important feature if you're anything like me and need pressure as well as vibration. I cannot tell you how many cheap wands I have broken bending the neck too far to get the right amount of pressure.

Price

While it's not the cheapest wand on the market, the Lovehoney Extra Powerful Wand Vibrator retails for $69.99, which makes it a much more affordable option if the wand style of vibrator is on your wish list, but you cant bring yourself to drop the $100 on a Hitachi (I don't blame you!). My only complaint about the price point is that the only thing you get in the box is the vibrator, and a care card. I personally would have been more impressed if it came with a storage bag, as on the care card it states to store away from other toys.

Performance

The Lovehoney Extra Powerful Wand Vibrator is just that... EXTRA powerful. With a plug-in power source, the force behind the motor is absolutely unmatched, even the lowest setting was stronger than all of my rechargeable and battery powered toys. This is definitely a toy I would recommend to anyone that has trouble climaxing, as the round head is great for even pressure and stimulation alone, or with a partner. However, if you're looking for a quiet toy, this is NOT the toy you're looking for. Even the lowest setting would catch some attention from across the room.

Packaging

Overall the packaging was simple and attractive, featuring an image of the toy on the front with the tag line "Discover a happier you" , and on the side in holographic lettering "The Magic Touch" (foreshadowing, I'm sure). Inside, you'll find the wand nestled into a cardboard filler, inside of a plastic disposable bag (still think it should have been a storage bag). It comes with a little care card, and information about the manufacturer.

Materials and care

The body of the wand itself is made of ABS plastic, and the head is made of body safe silicone. It's also latex- and phthalate-Free. It is recommended you use water-based lube to avoid damaging the silicone, and to clean, just wipe it down with your favorite toy cleaner and leave to air dry. The Lovehoney Extra Powerful Wand is not waterproof, unfortunately, so don't clean it with water or be too liberal with any liquid toy cleaners. Store it away from heat, direct sunlight, and away from other toys (I'm never going to get over the lack of storage bag).

Special feature

I wouldn’t necessarily say this wand has any ‘special features’ per say, but it does have a surprising array of attachments available for purchase, including a ribbed cover for male use, and a g-spot attachment (sold separately of course)!
