A word for Vaginas
Obviously I only used this dildo anally, and I have no clue if the flexibility issue I have would be any sort of problem for people with vaginas.Dealing With Disappointment.
In the end I couldn’t get the Ray Diesel to work for me which sucks because on design alone it’s an awesome dildo. I don’t know whether to chalk it up to user error or my decision to get it in 75% soft, but in either case this is one dildo that I have to shelf for a while, at least till I can get a Vac-U-Lock attachment and start testing things out again. Although I currently can’t get the toy to work for me I don’t think that should impede others from getting it if they are interested. Just keep in mind that it likes to bend on itself when you are selecting what firmness you want.Design
The design of this dildo comes from Ray Diesel himself, as it’s molded from his actual penis. As far as cocks go, it’s a pretty nice one, and as far as dildos go, it’s pretty nice too. There’s a big attention to detail with how everything looks on it, and I can say that they got the dildo to look as close to humanly possible to the real thing. This is both a good and bad thing. Good because it means that if you’re looking for a super life like giant dildo, then you’ve come to the right place. It’s bad because not all of the aspects of Rays’ massive schlong transfer over well to silicone. Aspects like the foreskin, and the bend of the penis. Ray has a prominent head which is nice, but there’s a noticeable gap between the bottom of his head and the roll of the foreskin. On a living breathing penis, this wouldn’t really be noticed, but when you transfer everything to a hunk of silicone the gap between the head and the foreskin becomes much more noticeable. In real life all the skin would just flatten out with any pressure or movement. In harder silicon, the roll of the foreskin becomes a not so pleasant ridge on the toy. It’s not a deal breaker by any means, but it is noticeable when you get past the head and then have to get over that hard abrupt ridge. The other aspect is the bend in the penis. I’m not sure if this was because of how Rays penis normally is, or from how it was positioned while casting the mold, but the noticeable downward bend that happens in the middle of the dildo makes insertion tricky. Because of it when ever you apply pressure to the top of the head, the whole thing wants to bend downward, and choosing the 75% soft option didn’t help matters either. Again, it’s not a deal breaker, but it does take away from an almost perfect toy.
Ease of Use
The Ray Diesel follows suit with the other dildos I’ve reviewed on here from Hankeys’ Toys. Yes the Ray Diesel is massive, but as long as you are used to taking toys of this size, then it shouldn’t really be an issue, just lube it up and stick it in. The only difference the Ray Diesel has is that due to the bend in the shaft, and depending on what firmness you choose, the dildo has a tendency to bend under any sort of applied presser. This makes using it a bit of a challenge, and means you’ll have to take some time figuring out what position works best for you and the toy.
Quality
It's a silicon toy that's compatible with silicone lube, need I say more? Hankeys Toys has always been a brand that excels on the quality of their toys. Everything is made of 100% platinum silicone and each toy is it's own work of art.
Price
As I've said in my review for the Chode Dildo, if you're into large insertions of really creative dildos, then buying one from Hankeys Toys is more of an investment than a high priced splurge on a sex toy. In the case of the Ray Diesel dildo that still holds true. Coming in at $170 for the XL size this is a pretty good price for that big of a chunk of silicone along with how many hours it took to design it and make it work well as a functioning dildo.
Performance
Sadly I couldn't get the Ray Diesel to work for me. Overall it's a great dildo and I want nothing more to feel what the full length of it is life in my butt, but due to the bend in its' design along with choosing the 75% soft firmness, I created a toy that's currently too flexible for it's own good and makes anal insertion impossible at the moment.
Packaging
As far as packaging goes, there was none. This seems to be the case with Hankey Toys. I'm all for minimalist packaging methods, but having a $100+ toy just wrapped in plastic wrap and nothing else is a bit too minimalist.
Materials and care
Like all Hankeys Toys, the Ray Diesel is made of 100% platinum grade silicone and is completely body safe and water proof. Because it is made out of high grade silicone, you can use any type of lube on it and not have to worry. As far as cleaning goes, it's best to use warm soapy water or your favorite toy cleaner. It sadly does not come with a storage bag.
