My Verdict
These anal beads didn't float my boat, but they were exactly as described. They were affordable, simple to insert, and flexible enough to comfortably wear during extended sessions. The T-bar base kept the toy safely in place, while the sphincters rested comfortably around the tiny stem. They'd be perfect for those who love anal play and prefer a more intense exit than small beads can offer. I'm only removing points for the unbearable chemical odor.

Did the ROMP Amp live up to my expectations?
Questionable Odor
Upon opening the box, a strong chemical odor slapped me in the face. Goodness, it was pungent! I don’t believe I’d ever experienced such an unbearable scent from a pleasure toy. As always, I washed the silicone before even considering use, but the smell remained. At this point, I questioned the accuracy of the “body-safe,” claims. However, a quick flame test proved the product to indeed be silicone.Anal and Oranges
After lubing the surface and gracing myself with a climax or two, I was ready to explore. I’d never dived into the ball pit of anal beads, but figured they’d be much like anal plugs. Since I can comfortably enjoy anal plugs with 1-inch diameters, of course I could easily use these anal beads! Wrong. Anal beads impart gratification in a unique fashion; they’re intended to be slid from the anus during climax for extra-dimensional pleasure. This means users should choose a size based on what they can easily slip in and out of their body, not what they can comfortably fit inside of it.Defeat
The 5.3-inch length probed deep inside of the anal canal, though not as deeply as other beads on the market. Once inside, the flexible neck contoured to my body, and the base secured the toy safely in place. The ultra-thin neck offered nearly no sensation to the sphincters, which happens to be my favorite part of using an anal plug. When it came time for the finally, even the smallest bead proved too large to smoothly whip out. This was true for each session. Negating this experience defeated the purpose of using anal beads. Now I know, my sphincters just aren’t flexible enough for that kind of action.My perspective on the design of the ROMP Amp
Romp Amp Anal Beads were like concord grapes for the rectum. The silky-smooth silicone slipped against the skin and spread lubricant like a dream. The firm balls were sturdy enough for the pressure of insertion, and the maximum 1-inch width looked pretty un-intimidating. The flared base and graduating bead sizes created an inviting aesthetic for users. I absolutely love subtle signatures on toys, like the "ROMP" stamped into the base of these beads. It added an elegant detail to the minimalist design.
The ROMP Amp: User Convenience
Romp Amp Anal Beads require some experience. While inserting these beads would be easy enough for a beginner, climactic removal would be more of a challenge. Each bead may be inserted individually, but even the smallest one could be too intense for novices. Due to the flexible strand, users must put pressure directly at the base of the ball being inserted. This requires some flexibility and hand dexterity. That being said, it lubricated easily and felt comfortable to wear. Additionally, the T-Bar base sat nicely between the cheeks, was easy to grasp, and sturdy enough for firm tugging.
Rating the Quality of the ROMP Amp
Romp Amp Anal Beads were advertised as being composed of body safe silicone. However, neither the manual nor manufacturer's website disclosed the type of silicone used. This left some ambiguity in the quality of materials. The surface smelled overwhelmingly of chemicals, which only slightly dissipated after washing. This didn't bode well for scoring. It did, however, pass a lighter test- so these purple beasts are, in fact, 100% silicone! They held up during use, and that's the most important thing.
The ROMP Amp’s Price
You can add these bubbly beads to your collection for only $15.99. Non-motorized anal beads can cost anywhere from $10.00 (Adam and Eve's Sassy Anal Beads) to $122 (Vixen's Marble Gemstones). This places Romp Amp Anal Beads at the low-end, in terms of cost. It comes with a quick start guide, safety instructions, and a social media card. Factor in the 2-year manufacturer warranty, and these beads exceed their marketed value.
The Performance of the ROMP Amp: A Review
These beads performed as described. The firm balls and flexible stem aided insertion and removal. However, smaller or tapered beads would be better suited for less experienced users. These beads washed fairly easily, but lubricant gathered along the base of the balls and the stems. This required prompt and diligent cleansing. Most importantly, this silicone absorbed anal odor unlike any toy I'd ever used. After a single, 10-minute session and immediate wash, the scent was already lingering. TMI but true.
Packaging of the ROMP Amp
Romp Amp Anal Beads arrived in a recyclable box, nestled in thermoformed plastic. It was too flimsy and bulky to use for storage, and the toy didn't come with a bag. The graphic of the product accurately depicted the item received and displayed its dimensions. While the purple cardboard washed out the purple product, I don't seek toys for their boxes. The packaging did its job by ensuring my product arrived safely.
Material and care guide
As with all silicone toys, Romp Amp Anal Beads should only be used with water-based lubricant. Wash before and after each use, thoroughly massaging the stem and beads. I advise following up with a sex toy sterilization wipe to ease odors. Especially smelly toys can be cleansed with a pet spot cleaner, then washed as normal. Submerging them in alcohol can, also, eliminate odors; but it may dull the surface. Allow the anal beads to dry completely, and store separately from vinyl/rubber.
