Personal Experience
The Quest Continues
Here’s yet another attempt to find the perfect “quick jerk off” solution. This time I knew it is not the vibrations that would work for me, but a TPE sleeve with good grip. The Robin vibrating masturbator is just about that. Simple, and does the job just right! When I opened the box and took off the cap and touched this white squishy miracle under the cap for the first time it was unbelievable. I thought “and THIS will hold my dick strong enough?” But yeah, it holds! Not like one would do with their fist, but there’s some magic in how it all feels. All those big and small bumps inside the sleeve – they massage all those points on the penis just right.It knows all the right spots too well
In fact now I get what my wife said about her Womanizer – that “it knows all the right spots too well” – I feel the same with this toy. It makes you cum, maybe even too quickly! Of course I was curious to find out how it does it, so I took out the sleeve (that was very easy) and turned it inside out! It was so easy and that revealed the internal secrets of the sleeve. It is asymmetric in the “head” portion to make it more anatomical so it squeezes the head better, but in order to feel it you need to really push to the limit through a relatively thinner shaft full of small bumps. The bigger bumps are at the base and those will massage the lower part of your dick. And yet, do not get me wrong – those bumps are ultra soft. It all feels amazing very gentle, but again – very satisfying.The Vibrations
Now there’s also the vibration, right? The vibration motor is exactly below the buttons inside the shell. I was a bit surprised to see it there, because the sleeve and the whole toy is supposed to be held with buttons up, so that your dick would exactly fit the sleeve’s internal compartment for the head. So I supposed that the vibration would be below the head, as it was done in the Blowmotion Warming and Pulsing Male Masturbator. I supposed it would be stimulating frenulum, but no. Also the vibrator is massaging your dick through the squishy pillow of the sleeve, and also has direct contact with your hands through the solid body of the shell, so it kind of vibrates your hands more than you dick. So from the first try I wasn’t really impressed with the vibration. Later on, after several attempts I was once in a better mood, or maybe aroused more, and so the vibration was, I’d say, “interesting and intriguing”. Yet I couldn’t cum without stroking movements. Due to the electric functions and not protection of the power lines from water it is strictly forbidden to use the toy near water. A sticker on the back side is alarming about that, noting that a short-circuit may occur in case water gets to the battery contacts etc. As I said several times already – you can take out the sleeve out of the case and play just with it (in water or not), that is absolutely safe – since you have to wash the sleeve after each use anyway. Yet without the shell the “grip” is a little bit less intense, but still works pretty well.Final Thoughts
What I also like about this toy is that there’s no hustle. They say you should use a water-based lube before inserting your dick in – you will have to use some lube, because when the sleeve is dry it is not slippery at all, even it is a bit sticky. That’s why always set the cap for storage – otherwise the sleeve will collect dust. It is almost as fast and easy as jerking of with just your hands, but the sensations are much much better.Design
The overall design of the toy is kind of generic and simple. And yet there's definitely some work behind it. For example, I think an LCD screen is too much - a couple of LEDs would work just fine, but having a screen even with just two symbols is still a bit more pleasing. From the engineering standpoint the design is very good - those nozzles to let the air out, the form of the sleeve for it to stay in place when needed and to be taken out and back in again for cleaning - all that isn't "just a simple thing", someone did a good job designing it. I have questions to the motor placement, but other than that - the design is very efficient. By the way the cap doesn't hold tight - there's no rotary thread or something, just small dents and a thin rim. Also the cap is transparent, so find a good place to store the toy or everyone will be aware that's a thing that is inviting you to put something long inside it!
Ease of Use
The toy is very easy to use. You would still need at least one hand to hold it in place and move it, but everything else is just perfect. The small button turns the vibration on and switches through 5 modes, with the bigger "Boost" button instantly switching to mode 6 which is just high speed non-stop. Every switch of the mode highlights the tiny LCD screen for a couple of seconds where you can see the current mode selected and the battery charge level. Take the cap off, add some lube, jerk off, wash within a minute, and let it dry — that's it!
Quality
The designers made a good job and the toy looks good and feels good. The quality of the sleeve is exceptional. One small point is about the cap not holding in place too well, but otherwise everything is very good. It doesn't look posh or something though - just practical and reliable. There could be a different system for charging. That is maybe another flaw and also the protection from water. In those two points I think the designers tried to save some money.
Price
The price bites a bit. But you get the super high quality TPE, that's worth the paper. Ease of use and a very good but gentle grip are all your's forever once you buy it. If vibration is your thing as well - you get even more!
Performance
Charging is easy thanks to the USB that has finally become a standard. They could have used a standard cable as well though, like microUSB or USB-C, or even a magnet attachment. I wasn't able to find how long the battery lasts - it made me cum too quick. Neither did I actually charge - I am still at 100%, just out of the box! Vibration is mildly intense and medium quiet. Just 6 modes, no special interaction other than two buttons. One other good thing is that during the thrusts the air can go out freely - the bumps inside the sleeve make some space between the dick and the sleeve and also the bottom of the shell has some tiny holes for the air to escape. This all produces an almost silent puffing sound - not anything near to the Blowmotion Masturbator slurps and hisses.
Packaging
Packaging is very simple as well. Still stylish though. Not the level of Dyson or Apple, but it is safe for they toy, has some good cushioning and some pictures and texting outside, so you'll need a bag to carry it home from a shop.
Materials and care
The sleeve is a TPE which is questionable. It is porous so be sure to wash it thoroughly and ensure it is completely dry before storing again. Washing of the sleeve is very convenient - you just turn it inside out, wash with soap and water, tap with a towel and there you go again, be it another round or back to the shelf - it is very fast and easy. No special drying sticks, no staying overnight to dry out. The reviews I've seen so far didn't say anything about any problems from it so far. But better be safe than sorry. Since this is TPE you can not boil it or put into a dish washer - it will melt. The shell is a simple ABS plastic. So it is as safe as that LEGO cube or myriads of other things made of ABS. No special storage box is provided, unless you'd like to store it in the original packaging (which is pretty decent). The only quest is how not to lose the charging cable, if you store the toy as is. Putting it inside is probably not the best idea.
