Goldie Locks and the butt plugs

I have been into all things anal for a solid decade now. In that time I have stuck many a dildo in my butt. I’ve found a bunch that I like and even more that I didn’t. In that time however, I have never found a butt plug or prostate massager that actually fits me. What do I mean by fit? I mean a toy that actually fits all the way in my butt, and stays put there. Nothing is worse than a plug that decides to fall out with every sneeze or cough. All the plugs or prostate massagers I’ve tried have been either too long or too skinny. I’ve probably  spent close to $1,000 over the years on anal toys that don’t fit. But then I found the b-Vibe Expand.

First looks

When I first unboxed the Expand plug, I wasn’t really expecting much. I was hopeful that for once a plug would actually fit me and work, but I wasn’t really expecting that to happen. The Expand looked like most other prostate massagers I’ve seen and tried in the past. Relatively bulbous head, curved body, and an elongated flared base to rub against the perineum, and a vibrator located somewhere inside the toy to send more stimulation to the prostate. Nothing out of the ordinary. What was out of the ordinary was the expand function of the plug. The Expand Plug gets its namesake from having an inflatable balloon inside the head of the plug, and with the push of a button can become inflated and bigger, effectively making it a vibrating inflatable prostate massager. I was excited to test that part out.

Putting it to the test

For me, I have a test I do with all new plugs or prostate massagers I try out. After getting the toy in, and getting an initial feel for whether or not the plug actually fits in me and feels ok, I like to do chores with said plug still in me. Cooking, cleaning, doing laundry, the basics. I do this because the act of being plugged while having something stimulate my prostate all day is a goal I’m actively working on doing more, and because wearing a plug or prostate massager during regular day to day is a great way for me to see how comfortable the plug is in different positions, how good the vibrations feel and how long they last for, and to actually feel how stimulating massagers can be on my prostate. Naturally, if I can move around freely without having to think about the toy falling out, if I can sit down and stand up without the toy hurting or being uncomfortable, and if the sensation is distracting in a good way, the toy is a keeper.

The fit was a hit

This is exactly what the Expand plug was. It stayed in me the whole time I was moving around cooking and doing laundry, the vibrations lasted a solid 2.5 hours on high, and I was wonderfully and frustratingly distracted the whole time. Having a toy that does all of that and is easy to get inside of me is a big deal and I couldn’t be happier with those aspects of the Expand Plug.

Not quite perfect

The Expand Plug is hands down a great butt plug, but that doesn’t mean it’s perfect. Ergonomically I think it is fantastic and feels great, but when it comes to its features, it’s a bit lacking for me. I’m a size queen, and the expanding nature of the Expand Plug wasn’t enough to give me any sort of extra sensation. To be honest, I couldn’t really even feel when it was expanding or contracting inside of me. The vibrations were also lacking for me. They were strong, and the battery life was enough to keep them going for a while, but the only vibrator inside of the toy was located near the tip of the base, which meant that a lot of the vibrations dissipated before they could reach the head of the toy. Even though I was disappointed that both of those features didn’t really work for me, I still love the Expand Plug. Finding a plug/prostate massager that actually fits, stays put, and is easy to get in me without any warm up or extra wahala is a big deal for me. Until I find something that checks off all of my boxes, the Expand Plug is the butt plug for me.
