BASICS Anal Douche
My Verdict
The BASICS Anal Douche lives up to its name. It's pretty basic! It's not anything special but it gets the job done! The bulb is easy to squeeze and easy to grip as well, thanks to the grooves on the sides. It's simple to assemble and I think it's a good option for anyone on a budget.

Personal Experience
At this point, I’ve tested a few different anal douches here at Bedbible. Check out my other reviews of the Lovehoney Anal Douche or (my personal favorite) the Tracey Cox Supersex Flexible Tip Anal Douche.
I would almost rank this one somewhere in the middle between the two others in terms overall quality and design. The BASICS Anal Douche isn’t particularly impressive, but it just seems like a tad more thought has gone into improving the design of a really basic anal douche, like the Lovehoney Anal Douche (and most other cheaper anal douches). It feels a bit easier to grip and squeeze because the rubber is slightly thinner. The fact that the tip also screws into a nozzle before being secured to the bulb also helps avoid any leakage that might happen with a more simple fastening mechanism. Still, the overall quality and comfort doesn’t come near the Tracey Cox Supersex Flexible Tip Anal Douche, which is made of body-safe silicone and has a flexible tip. However, if you’re looking for an affordable and easy to use anal douche, and you don’t care too much about the materials, this one is a decent option.
Design
I'm not personally a big fan of the red and white colors. I just don't find it very appealing or very subtle for that matter. I would definitely have preferred something monochrome. On the plus side, the shape of the bulb is slightly different from a classic anal douche. The BASICS Anal Douche is a tad slimmer and has some groves on the middle to make it easier to grip and squeeze. The tip is also securely screwed onto a nozzle that then is pushed into the bulb itself. It seems a tiny bit elevated from a really basic anal douche that often has the tip go directly into the bulb (which can cause leakage if not fully secured).
Ease of Use
The BASICS Anal Douche is pretty easy to use. At first, it can seem like a there are a few too many bits that go into the screw-in mechanism to secure the tip to the nozzle that goes into the bulb. Although, it's fairly simple to assemble in the end. The enhanced grip from the small grooves in the bulb does make it a bit easier to expel water from the douche, in my opinion!
Quality
The BASICS Anal Douche isn't a premium quality product. The bulb is made of rubber instead of silicone and the tip is very rigid and can be uncomfortable at times. However, I like that it feels like more thought has gone into the design and functionality than a regular, cheap anal douche.
Price
The BASICS Anal Douche is incredibly affordable and it does seem like it will last quite a while. I think it's a good option for anyone on a budget who still wants something that isn't THE cheapest (and perhaps lowest quality) item on the market.
Performance
The BASICS Anal Douche definitely got the job done! I was impressed with the stream it could make when the bulb was squeezed tightly. It feels like the rubber of the bulb is a bit thinner compared to other anal douches, and I think that contributes to how easily you can expel a large volume of water out at once.
Packaging
The packaging for the BASICS Anal Douche is simple but surprisingly helpful. A cardboard box with some basic information and imaging on the outside, and a clear zip-loc plastic bag with the disassembled douche inside. There was also two instruction leaflets with additional information and guidance included.
Materials and care
The tip of the BASICS Anal Douche is made of hard plastic and the bulb itself is made of rubber. Rubber is a porous material so it wouldn't be my first choice for something that's designed to be in contact with the rectum. Because it isn't meant to be used vaginally–or internally for that matter–I think it's fine. Ideally, though, I would invest in a good silicone anal douche that could potentially be fully sterilized to be on the safe side. To clean the BASICS Anal Douche after use, simply take it apart and rinse it thoroughly with warm water and antibacterial, or even any mild and unscented soap. Make sure it's completely dry before storing it away.
