Calexotics Nipple and Clitoral Non-Piercing Body Jewelry Review

Personal Experience

I couldn’t have been more excited to try the Calexotics Nipple and Clitoral Non-Piercing Body Jewelry. My partner has always wanted me to get body piercings, but I’m deathly afraid of needles, so getting actual piercings was never an option for me. However, this seemed like the best of both worlds! I would be able to try both nipple and clitoral piercings without any of the fear-inducing piercing guns or the permanence of piercings.

Design

The Calexotics Nipple and Clitoral Non-Piercing Body Jewelry is not well-designed. For one thing, it is not as adjustable as promised, so the jewelry never fits quite comfortably on the nipples or clitoris. Though the nipple jewelry looks very standard, the clitoral jewelry is uncomfortably weighty, and without the use of an actual piercing, is nearly impossible to keep on the body for any period of time or during any vigorous activity such as sex. When worn under the clothes, The Calexotics Nipple and Clitoraal Non-Piercing Body Jewelry does look appealing and mimics the visual aesthetic of traditional nipple piercings. However, it does not give the same physical effect and does not work for long-term wear.

Ease of Use

The Calexotics Nipple and Clitoral Non-Piercing Body Jewelry should be very easy to use. It is purported to be adjustable, so one should be able to slip the jewelry over the nipple or clitoris, tighten to one's level of comfort, and enjoy it. However, The Calexotics Nipple and Clitoral Non-Piercing Body Jewelry is not durable or very adjustable, meaning that it cannot be used with that kind of ease. Add to that fact the reality that mine arrived broken and needed to be repaired before I could even attempt to use it, and that explains my low score in this area.

Quality

The quality of The Calexotics Nipple and Clitoral Non-Piercing Body Jewelry was another major disappointment. My product arrived broken not only due to the quality of the packaging (discussed below), but also due to the flimsy material used to construct the nipple jewelry. I thought the clitoral jewelry would be better, as its material seemed much heavier and more durable. However, I was frustrated when I touched the clitoral jewelry and found that the metal felt unfinished and rough. Not a high-quality product at all.

Price

Retailing between 10-20 American dollars on any given website, The Calexotics Nipple and Clitoral Non-Piercing Body Jewelry is a fine option for anyone looking to test drive a piercing for a few minutes. However, if you are looking for something you might be able to wear with daily, consistent use, then that appealingly low price point is going to let you down when you discover that the product barely fits and doesn't last long on the body.

Performance

The Calexotics Nipple and Clitoral Non-Piercing Body Jewelry does not live up to any of the promises made in its marketing. It is not particularly durable, it is not adjustable, it is not high-quality, and while it is silver in color, it is not actually made of silver as promised on the packaging. It is nickel-plated iron. Even more troubling, many online shops promoting this product list the product as nickel-free, but when you look at the product itself, it clearly states that it is nickel-plated, and therefore not nickel-free at all.

Packaging

The packaging for The Calexotics Nipple and Clitoral Non-Piercing Body Jewelry was abysmal. The plastic is paper-thin and incredibly malleable, to the point where it might as well not have been used at all. It did nothing to protect the product in transit and did little to explain what the product did or how it could be used. It was basic at best. But what perhaps frustrates me most about The Calexotics Nipple and Clitoral Non-Piercing Body Jewelry is its instructions. The instructions, to me, embody the entire experience of using this product. Because the instructions included with the Calexotics Nipple and Clitoral Non-Piercing Body Jewelry are NOT for The Calexotics Nipple and Clitoral Non-Piercing Body Jewelry product. They are generic, brand-wide instructions that include absolutely irrelevant instructions like "turn off vibrations before taking out of the body" and "consult the product guide for battery instructions." To me, this displays a lack of care by Calexotics. They couldn't even be bothered to write and print specific instructions for this particular product.

Materials and care

This is not a product I can recommend from a safety perspective. Nickel-plated jewelry is generally not considered safe, given how common of an allergen nickel is to the general population. They claim that it is not-tarnishing, and I had no problem cleaning The Calexotics Nipple and Clitoral Non-Piercing Body Jewelry with my usual metal toy cleaner. However, given its low quality materials, I do not expect it to last long.
