My Verdict
This pussy pump was a bit of a mixed bag for me. The pumping power is quite impressive and I like that there are 3 different intensities to choose from. However, the vibrations are terrible! Very buzzy and they don't actually target anywhere sensitive enough to make a difference. I also feel like the quality is a little flimsy and the silicone seal comes off easily during use.

Personal Experience
Pumped Up Kinks?
At this point in my sex toy reviewing journey, I am running low on totally new types sex toys that I want to test. Very ‘first world problems’ I know! However, this is my first experience with a pussy pump and I have to say, I was pretty excited to get my hands on it! I had used my nipple suckers over my clitoris in the past, and loved the boost of sensitivity, so was pretty excited to see how it felt on over a larger area, and more importantly, how being touched felt after! I tried the pump on my leg first to get a feel for the power. I found the lowest setting made a nice seal and gentle suction but it wasn’t doing much so I took it up to the second and third levels and my leg was soon sucked up into the cup. I was quite impressed by it’s power and a little apprehensive/curious about what that would feel like on my vulva! Next, I tried it with my partner and after a bit of fiddling about to find the right position and a good seal, we marvelled as I did it’s work. I have to say, it’s didn’t feel like the sexiest experience to begin with, but the visual effect of everything being more engorged than usual was quite sexy. It also definitely increased my sensitivity and allowed me to reach orgasm in record time after using it. Having used it a few times solo, I’ve also discovered I enjoy the sensation of turning on the pump, letting it reach a good intensity, releasing it and repeating the process. It makes for some really good build up! The vibrations were less of a hit. They are weak, buzzy and just a big let down. On top of that, they don’t actually come into contact with anything that’s particularly sensitive to vibration. They feel like an added gimmick that don’t add anything to the experience. This pump is loud during use, especially if you want to use both the vibrations and pump action at the same time. Maybe it’s a blessing in disguise that the vibrations don’t do much for me! This definitely isn’t suitable for discreet play, unless you claim it’s your new dust buster!Design
It definitely gives off oxygen mask vibes. Did I put it over my mouth? Maybe. Did I also turn it? Sure! I'm not the biggest fan of the black and purple design but I like that the cup is see through so me and my partner could see what was happening! It's fun to be able to both see and feel the effects. I will say that the cup is quite small so I found that I filled it quite quickly without having a lot of space for more pumping.
Ease of Use
Considering it has both vibration and suction, I think the Merci Pump is very easy to use! There's one button to scroll through the three suction intensities and one to scroll through the 7 vibration modes. It's also pretty easy to make a seal with the cup. The quick release button is also quick and easy to use, which is very reassuring! It does lose points for the super sensitive vibration button though! It's almost impossible not to accidentally turn it on. Even another toy bumping it in the drawer can set it off.
Quality
The pump feels a little light and although it's working well now, I'm not filled with confidence for how long it will last! I was also pretty disappointed by the quality of the vibrations. They are buzzy and concentrated in the handle so I couldn't really feel them so much when using the pump. Not to mention, they are loud and rattly! The pumping action is also rather loud so this definitely isn't one for discreet sessions! The silicone seal around the rim of the cup also comes off very easily during use.
Price
The Merci Pussy Pump is one of the more expensive pussy pumps out there. If the vibrations had been better and the quality a little higher, I would say the price is a little more reasonable. However, in relation to the quality, I think the price is too high.
Performance
The pumping action performs very well and has a good amount of power behind it. If the silicone seal stayed on more securely, it would make it more enjoyable to use. As I've already mentioned though, the vibrations are extremely buzzy and have very little effect.
Packaging
The Merci Pump packaging definitely is the best but to be fair, it's also not the worst I've seen! I'm just not a fan of packaging with women in lingerie in them. I much prefer something more aesthetic and tasteful. The box went straight in the recycling. I was also a bit disappointed it came with a plastic tray insert, which is just unnecessary and would have been much better in cardboard.
Materials and care
I really like that the pump cup has a silicone rim that can be removed for easier cleaning, which I really appreciate. The pump itself, however, isn't waterproof so should be kept dry and cleaned with a damp cloth and soap. I am a little concerned that as the pump sucks air out of the chamber, it is also sucking any bodily fluids with it, but I can't see any way to prevent that from happening. It also doesn't come with a storage bag, which I think should be a crime!
