My Verdict

The Silicone Fusion Viper by Electrastim might be the coolest looking waste of time I've ever seen. This e-stim cock ring has style and flare for days. When you walk into an adult toy store and you see the Viper it nonchalantly looks back and says, "yeah, I am that cool", while popping its collar and putting on sunglasses even though you're inside. But once you take it home and try it out you realize the toy that you thought looked super cool was all style and no substance. Once put to the test this super cool looking cock ring goes from cool bad boy, to weird neckbeard guy wearing a polo with a popped collar and a tartan trilby. When it comes to being an e-stim based cock ring, the Viper doesn't do much of either.

Personal Experience

My Personal Experiences with ElectraStim Silicone Fusion Viper Cock Ring

Straight out of Cyberpunk.

When I first saw the Viper electro sex toy my immediate thought was, wow that looks cool. I wanted to try it out. The stark red and black colors caught my eye, and the engraved pattern on the front accentuates the the V shaped profile. My mind was flashing images of a futuristic neon scaped city, and me wearing this sci-fi cock ring basking in the electric sensations it would bring me.

All that glitters.

Eventually, after several horny daydreams about cyberpunk-esque electrifying cock rings that also look surprisingly like armor for your junk, the Viper arrived. It looked both larger and smaller than I thought it would. I was a bit disappointed that it didn’t come with anything aside from a storage bag. That might seem bougie of me, but it should be noted that the Viper can’t function on it’s own. It requires a Electrastim power unit to actually be able to use it. I knew this from the get go, but it would have been nice for ElectraStim to include an adapter cable with the Viper at least. After getting past that minor annoyance, I tried the Viper on, and it didn’t really fit. It fit like a shoe that was two sizes too big. It stayed on my cock, but it in no way acted like a normal cock ring, actively trapping blood in my cock and making it bigger. The Viper just kind of stayed on. I also tried getting the pronged ends to go around my sack, but I soon discovered that there was no way that was happening, the prongs were too flexible and wouldn’t keep anything in place. Finally I tried hooking it up to a power unit and seeing what the e-stim part of the Viper had to offer, and boy didn’t that hurt.

A nice sharp burning pain.

I’ve used bi-polar e-stim cock rings in the past. The cheap pair of them I have along with my cheap TENS unit from Amazon is one of my favorite toys that I have. The feeling of using bi-polar e-stim cock ring can vary a lot in sensation. When around the balls it can feel like really intense squeezing almost like using elastrator bands. When around the cock and balls it can feel anywhere from the pins and needles type of sensation when your arm falls asleep all the way to a really intense hand job with no one touching you. No matter where you have the rings located, if you don’t have a good connection with the skin, whether from bad placement, poor fit, or too much hair, once you turn it on you’ll get a sharp burning pain where ever the ring is touching akin to plucking out hair with tweezers while getting poked with a hot needle. And that’s all I felt while trying to use the Viper.

Trying to make lemonade.

Turns out the Viper had a wicked bite (who could have foreseen that), but I was determined to try and find a way where it didn’t hurt. I was freshly waxed down there so I knew hair wasn’t the issue, that meant I had to keep fenagling with it to see if this was a position or product issue. First I had tried it with a Electrastim brand power unit. The second time I tried it with my own power unit. The quality of the current was better, but it still hurt. Then I tried flipping the Viper over so the curved face facing inward instead of out. The only difference was the pain was on the other side of my cock. Then I tried using it with a different cable and also tried alternating what holes I put the positive and negative leads in. Same issue only now I knew that the current seemed to only be going through the middle pad on what ever side the negative lead was, leading to the burning pain. Next I tried it with some conductive gel. Instead of hurting just in one pinpoint spot on my cock, it hurt on one whole side. Next I tried it while also having a second cock ring going around my cock and balls, and the Viper on my now engorged dick. The Viper fit more snuggly, but it was still the same pain. I even had the thought that maybe it’s me, maybe my cock just doesn’t work with this toy, so I tried it on my wrists. Now I was stretching the Viper to it’s limits and all six of the conductive pads were in full contact with my skin. No change. In the end with a frustrated cock and heart, I gave up. I just couldn’t find a way to make the Viper not suck. There still is a chance that all of this was due to poor quality control, but most of me doubts that. I think the main issue the Viper has is that it only has 6 points of contact for the electric current to go through. The bi-polar cock rings I’m used to use up the entire surface area of the inner ring aside from two small strips to keep the internal wires from touching themselves, which leads to a much more evenly distributed current though ones cock. Having only three points of contact per side like the Viper does means that all the current HAS to go through those points, causing it to go from zero to painful in a hurry.

Design

ElectraStim Silicone Fusion Viper Cock Ring Design

Going just on the aesthetic design of the Viper, it's amazing. Again, one of the coolest looking sex toys I've ever seen, and I've seen a lot of them. It just looks awesome. It's a shame that looks are it's only strong point. The functional design of the Viper is terrible. The fact that it is an open ended cock ring means that it can't actually work as a cock ring since it can't fully trap blood in the penis, and since there are only six points of contact (three for each side), there is no way to avoid hot spots while using it.

Ease of Use

ElectraStim Silicone Fusion Viper Cock Ring Ease of Use

Without going into how it actually preformed, using the Viper is very easy. Just put it on, attach the input cables coming from the power unit into the holes on the top of the Viper and turn on the power unit (not included). That's it, it really couldn't be simpler.

Quality

ElectraStim Silicone Fusion Viper Cock Ring Quality

While the actual performance of the Viper was garbage for me, the quality of the materials it's made out of are not. The red body of the Viper is made of 100% platinum grade silicone. Electrastim only lists silicone as the material, so I'm not sure what the black contact points are made of, that being said they could also be made of silicone if they used a special blend to make it conductive.

Price

ElectraStim Silicone Fusion Viper Cock Ring Price

The Price is not worth it. Electrastim lists the Viper for $65 plus shipping, and Lovehoney lists it for $80. $80 is a lot of money for an e-stim cock ring that doesn't work as a cock ring or e-stim device. Not to mention it's a nonfunctioning $80 cock ring that doesn't come with anything yet requires you to buy other equipment to actually use it as it's fully intended to. Kind of a rip off if you ask me.

Performance

ElectraStim Silicone Fusion Viper Cock Ring Performance

What else can I say. The Viper was a dud for me. I tried multiple times to try and get a nonpainful sensation out of the Viper and couldn't. Even now I'm still trying to figure out a way to use it that would actually make it pleasurable.

Packaging

ElectraStim Silicone Fusion Viper Cock Ring Packaging

The packaging was nice. The box gave an enlarged look of what the Viper looked like, and it went over must of the instructions on the side of the box.

Materials and care

ElectraStim Silicone Fusion Viper Cock Ring Materials and care

Electrastim lists the Viper as being made of 100% platinum grade silicone. Obviously this does not include the ports that the power cables go into or the internal wires that carry the current to the conductive pads. This toy is not water proof and please do not use it while wet, it will hurt. Clean up is easy, just wash it with soap and water making sure not to submerge it. It does come with a carrying bag.
