- ✅ Large conductive areas
Cons

Why I Chose It
I chose the Sirius Noir Plug from ElectraStim as the winner as it has one particular addition that puts it a level above the rest! Unlike most e-stim plugs that connect to a power unit, it has four electrode connection points, meaning you can enjoy the stimulation internally on your prostate and externally on your perineum for even more tingly pleasure!
This was a feature our tester, George, really enjoyed! Writing, “Performance can be summed up in one word – WOW! With the electricity flowing through it, the sensations it delivered were amazing.” He even went as far to say it’s “helped deliver some of the most mind-blowing climaxes I’ve ever experienced.” That’s a winner in my books!
Being able to bend the toy in to position “was a great asset, allowing good contact with both the prostate area and the perineum.” George also felt the “the shape of the insertable section really helps with internal stimulation, whilst the outer section nestles nicely against the perineum” so you really make the most of the electricity pulsing through it!
Of course having to buy or own a power unit is an extra expense but George points out that “you can use any of a range of boxes to power the toy.” However, if you want to make the most of the 4 connection points it requires a dual output box.
The only real downside to this plug is that “you can’t easily use the toy when sitting” due to the placement of the connection points on the base of the plug.

Why I Chose It
It was also my partner who tested out the Flexing Flavio, hooked up to the Mystim Cluster Buster Power Unit with me at the controls!
As I mentioned earlier, he’s relatively new to anal play and electrostimulation. He found the plug a little big on insertion but it was manageable and comfortable once in. He really liked that the plug was flexible and thought that it held it’s curve well, allowing for some precise direction of the stimulation.
The stimulation was much more intense than the ElectroShock G/P Spot Vibrator, although this is mostly down to the power of the Cluster Buster. He also said that overall it felt better quality.
The Flexing Flavio has a decent amount of conductive material on the either side of the plug and Matthew reported that the stimulation felt like it was coming from around the tip and it was fairly localised. This had the advantage of him being able to direct it to where he wanted it but meant it didn’t stimulate too much of the area around it.
He thought the Flexing Flavio was very high-quality and liked that together with the power pack, there’s a lot to explore and it’s a toy that has a lot to give and works well for lots of different activities.

Why I Chose It
I actually reviewed this e-stim prostate massager, and if you thinking, wait a minute, you don’t have a prostate, you would be correct. However, my partner, who does have a prostate, also tried it out, so I will be sharing his opinion here as well!
My partner enjoyed the electro-stimulation on his prostate and the shape, although it was a bit hard to insert because of the lack of taper. He said it felt great because it made his muscles clench rhythmically, as they would during an orgasm. He is relatively new to anal play and this was his first time trying electro-stimulation, and I think this was a good introduction. Hence why I’ve chosen it as the best electric prostate device for beginners!
He did mention that it didn’t feel as high a quality as other toys he’s tried since though, and I have to agree that it felt a little light and flimsy.
The other reason this is a great option for beginners is that you don’t need an external power pack as the toy has it’s own built in power system. While it won’t be as powerful or have as many functions, it’s a less intimidating and less expensive way to try prostate electro-stimulation.
It also has vibrations, so if you decide e-stim just isn’t for you, you can still enjoy this toy as a prostate vibrator!
While I’m here, I’ll also give you my cents. Both the vibrations and e-stim were a little too weak for me, but I was using it vaginally and I’m a self-confessed power queen, so that’s something to factor in! I was also a little disappointed that we couldn’t get the remote control to work, as I would love to be able to control the e-stim remotely while my partner enjoyed some prostate stimulation. I hope that this was just a one of fault though!

A Power Pack for Your Prostate Massager
Many e-stim prostate toys, like the Mystim Flexing Flavio and the ElectraStim Sirius Noir, require an external power pack to provide the electricity. Here are some that we’ve tested at Bedbible and recommend! Many power packs will be compatible with attachments from other brands but always check your chosen power pack is compatible with the attachment you want to use before parting with your cash!
Mystim Cluster Buster
I tested out the Mystim Cluster Buster with the Flexing Flavio and was really impressed by how user friendly it is and the innovative design! Not only does it allow for wireless control (hello power play), but you can also control multiple different toys on 8 different channels. This means you can have a sub on each channel with multiple toys at the same time!
It might sound quite complicated, but it was surprisingly easy to use even though it was my first time using any kind of power unit set up!
E-Stim Electro Pebble XPE Pack
The ElectraStim Noir Sirius Electro Prostate Massager requires a dual output power unit to power the internal and external e-stim.
The Electro Pebble from E-Stim has a dual output and allows you to control each one separately!
The kit also comes with other e-stim devices you can connect the power unit, giving plenty to explore!
External Power Pack vs Built in Power
Shopping for electro sex toys can be a little confusing as some come with an inbuilt power supply (like the ElectroShock G/P Spot Vibrator), whereas others need to be plugged into an external power pack to enable their zapping capabilities. Here’s some information to help you decide which is best for you!
Built in power supply
Electro prostate stimulators with a built in power toy are best for beginners, those on a budget or those only looking to use one electro-stimulation toy. They tend to be cheaper than buying both the toy and an external power unit, and the stimulation tends to be weaker than you would get from an external power unit. The set up is quicker, the controls are easier to use, and overall, they look less intimidating.
I started my e-stim adventure with toys that had built in power and was really happy I did!
External Power Unit
Buying a toy and an external power unit is more expensive in the beginning but can be worth the investment for those who enjoy more powerful electro-stimulation, or want more control and setting options. It’s also a better option if you want to be able to use different e-stim toys as you can just buy more to connect to your power unit. They are a little more intimidating and the controls have a bit more of a learning curve so I would say they are better suited to intermediate to advanced level e-stim users.
How to Try Electric Prostate Stimulation Safely
I won’t lie, I was pretty scared the first time I tried an internal e-stim toy! So scared, in fact, I had my partner use it on me because I didn’t want to press the button. Now I’ve got more experience and know that I am using them safely, I only get the fun kind of fear! These are my top tips for enjoying safe electro prostate stimulation.
Read the instructions
Boring, I know, but it’s a non-negotiable! They have crucial safety information about how to operate your specific toy as well as information about who should avoid electro-stimulation.
Figure out the controls
You want to be able to know how to turn the power up/down or turn it off quickly if you need to!
Getting to know the controls will also help you feel more, well, in control, and therefore, more confident.
Before using the Flexing Flavio on my partner, I sat down and figured out the power pack so I knew how to turn it on and off, gradually increase the power, explore the patterns, and even lock it during use.
Keep it dry
Most electro-stimulation toys are not waterproof and should be kept dry at all times.
Start on the lowest setting
Always start with the toy on the lowest setting and increase the power as desired. I also find it’s a good idea to spend some time on each level as it can take your body some time to get to used to the sensations.
Safewords
If you are using the toy on a partner, establish a safeword or signal that will stop play. You can decide whether that means decrease the power, stay at that level or turn the power off completely.
Check in with your partner
If you are controlling the toy for someone else, be sure to check in with your partner throughout and before increasing the power.
