Fleshlube Water Lube Review
My Verdict
This lube is exactly what it says it is - a water based, sexual lubricant. Nothing more, nothing less. Basically what I am trying to say, is that it's neither good nor bad. It has great features - like being compatible with all sex toy materials, and being thick enough to coat even large toys. Yet, it is quite expensive whilst not having any special features. If this wasn't in my bedside draw, then I will just use a better lube and not cry myself to sleep. But if it was in my draw, I'd happily use it until the bottle went empty. It is packaged well and would be suitable for anyone of any experience level - maybe even a great first lube, as it doesn't have too many bells and whistles to overwhelm.
Buy, if you...
- Want to use a lube with any sex toy material
- Are on a budget
Don't buy, if you...
- Like a thick, premium feeling lube
- Like a click-close lid
- Like a very wet water-based lube that is watery
About The Fleshlube Water
Fleshlube Water is made by Fleshlight, which are most famous for their range in Fleshlight sex toys. This lube is a great, all-rounder of a lube. It is a water-based lubricant, meaning it can be used with glass, metal and silicone toys, as well as being compatible with all condom materials. It comes in a small bottle that has an easy-to-use click-close lid. It has colourful, engaging packaging that is fun and eye-catching. It doesn't become tacky when you use it for a long period of time, and can just be re-applied if you desire more lubrication. It has a natural pH balance of 7, which shows that it would be equally as good for penis and vulva owners.
Pros
- ✅It can be used with any material sex toy
- ✅It is thick enough for anal
Cons
- ❌It cant be used in the shower for long
- ❌The bottle is quite small
- ❌It has no special features - it is quite simple

Design
I am pretty impartial to whether I like this bottle design or not - It isn't my favourite but I certainly don't hate it. It doesn't look very premium - it looks almost cartoon like? I like the way the Fleshlube bottles try and match their colour scheme to the contents inside them - for example, this lube is blue because it is a water based lube and the the Fleshlube fire is orange/red, to represent heat, as it is a warming lube. The colour and little design on the front sticker is cute, but not amazing. The design of the Fleshlube Water isn't a selling a point for me, but I know the inside product is good, then it doesn't deter me from buying it either.
Ease of Use
I think the quality of this lube is great - it is quite thick but not too thick that it is gloopy and slimey. If someone was to ask me what my ideal lube would be, it would have the same thickness as this lube and be water based. It is still thin enough that when it is washed off the skin, it doesn't linger or remain on it. i hate it when you wash lube off your skin and it still feels like it is on there for hours after! This water-based lube is compatible with all sex toy materials and condom types. It doesn't become tacky and often doesn't need re-application during use.
Quality
This water-based lube has a pH reading of 7, which shows a neutral reading. This proves that it would be great for both penis and vulva owners. For myself, a vulva owner, I typically prefer lubes with a more acidic pH level, as it is then a closer match to my acidic vulva. This then reduces my chances of getting a vaginal infection. All Fleshlubes are FDA approved, which is something I often appreciate, as I am putting this product inside of my body, so I appreciate knowing it is safe.
Price
For a lube that isn't anything that special, I think it is quite expensive. I wouldn't say it is budget friendly, as well as not being that impressive. Sure, it is a good quality lube that does what you would need any sexual lubricant to do - add more slip to your sex life. Yet, I am sure I could find you the exact same, or maybe even a better lube, for a cheaper price.
Performance
Fleshlube is a great partner for most of Fleshlights' sex toy products. If you were buying a Fleshlight and needed a lube, then this lube would be great. Sure, it isn't the best and I could recommend better, cheaper lubes, but if you're clicking 'Proceed to checkout' and needed a lube, then I would add it to your basket. It is long lasting and thick lube that would be great to have in your bedside draw. I always find that thicker lubes tend to last longer, as they tend to slide over themselves more. So thats why I think this lube would be great for someone that wants to feel its affects for an extended amount of time.
Compatibility
The Fleshlube Water has sleek and affective packaging. The nozzle gives you just the right amount without any messy spills. The bottle is small enough to fit in your hand, as well as your travel carry on, so you can take your adventures worldwide! It is made of both hard and soft plastic, so that it can be held firmly, whilst also allowing you to squeeze out the product easily. It's got clear labelling that tells you everything you need to know, from ingredients to expiration dates.
Stain Test
In my personal experience, water based lubes don't tend to stain, compared to coloured or silicone lubes. Hot water mixes with the water-based lube and washes it out easily, without it staining or being tough to remove. I also don't like lubes that I can see when they are on my skin, so I appreciate this lube being translucent.
