My Verdict
I think the Glams Mini Rainbow Gem Butt Plug is perfect for beginners to start exploring anal play. It's a nice step up from fingering and generally a nice butt plug to use when warming up for larger toys or anal sex. However, something about the shape of the plug made it prone to popping out and the large base with the gem isn't super comfortable for long-term wear. As someone who is fairly experienced with anal play, I expected to use a small butt plug like this during partnered sex or for long-term wear, but the discomfort of knowing how easily it could pop out makes me less excited about it overall. Still, I can see myself using it as a first step while warming up for larger items.

Personal Experience
Back to Basics
Even though I’m fairly experienced with anal play, I haven’t found that perfect small butt plug that’s the ideal medium between a finger and an average sized penis/dildo. I was very excited to try out the Glams Mini Rainbow Gem Butt Plug because the shape and size is so accessible.What I Liked:
I really do like that the tip is so incredibly tapered. I could actually insert it with no warm-up whatsoever and with plenty of lube, it slipped right in. The butt plugs I already have in my collection are a tad bigger and always require much more patience. So I like that this plug works as a great warm-up for my larger warm-up items. I like that it’s made of 100% body safe silicone and can be fully sterilized between uses.What Didn’t Work For Me:
The design of the plug itself proved more of an issue for me. The transition from the bulb of the plug to the ‘neck’ is quite tapered. There isn’t a huge difference in girth either. This makes the butt plug a lot more prone to slipping out as soon as there’s a little pressure (either from simultaneous vaginal penetration, contractions of the pelvic floor, or just from movements (like sitting down and standing up)). Since I’m not a beginner, I was planning on using this butt plug for long-term wear or during vaginal sex, but neither seem realistic or comfortable with the risk of it popping out.Design
While I really do appreciate the simplicity and the accessibility with tapered tip, the tapered neck is a huge drawback for me. That said, I do like the aesthetic with the smooth, matte, black silicone and the cute little rainbow gem. However, the size of the gem may also be a problem for those who want a butt plug for discreet public play.
Ease of Use
When talking about the basics, it is VERY easy to use and so smooth to insert. I would definitely still recommend this as a first ever butt plug. However, I also do think a small butt plug like this should be easy to wear during sex and while out and about.
Quality
I like that the Glams Mini Rainbow Gem Butt Plug is made of silicone so it's completely body-safe and easy to keep clean. The silicone feels nice and soft as well. My only minor complaint in terms of quality is that the glue holding the gem in place is slightly coming apart. At this point, the gem on my butt plug is still pretty secure, but it does feel like it my come off at some point without the proper care. If the time comes, it can easily be glued back on.
Price
The Glams Mini Rainbow Gem Butt Plug is very affordable. No, it's not the cheapest jeweled butt plug out there, but it's definitely relatively budget-friendly. Similar butt plugs (of a decent quality) are usually also sold at this price range of $25-$30.
Performance
The Glams Mini Rainbow Gem Butt Plug didn't exactly live up to my expectations. I would have preferred it to stay more securely in place. That said, it's been great for warming up for larger items.
Packaging
The packaging was pretty large for something so small. It's not very discreet since the butt plug is pictured right in the front of the package. I do like that the box has a small plastic display in the back so you can see the toy itself in the box. There wasn't a storage bag included but that is rather common with small inexpensive butt plugs like this.
Materials and care
Since the plug itself is made entirely out of silicone, it's super easy to clean. Simply wash it with a mild soap or sex toy cleaner and rinse it with warm water. It's fully waterproof so that makes it very easy to clean thoroughly. You can also sterilize it in boiling water. Just be sure to dip the insertable part in and not the part with the gem. The gem is made of hard plastic and will be damaged by the hot temperature.
