Not only do I think the Icicles No. 48 Glass Butt Plug is one of the prettiest anal toys I’ve ever seen, but it’s also a great quality butt plug that’s surprisingly suitable for a lot of different levels of experience! This is also part of why I’ve picked it out as the test winner for today. High-quality, adorable design, 100% body-safe, easy to clean, and versatile. This is the perfect-sized plug both for adventurous beginners and for those of you who are experienced with anal fun.
The beautiful rose-flared base doesn’t just make your booty look pretty; it also works as a flared stopper. However, this design does have a gradual flare, which isn’t as safe as a glass butt plug with a t-shaped bar or a ring stopper. Keep that in mind if you want to be completely sure that this one won’t slip on you!
Due to the large base, this cute butt plug isn’t that comfortable to sit down in, so it might not be the best option for long-term wear.

The Booty Sparks Heart Gem offers great value for money. I love the simple bulbous design with a heart-shaped base. It’s slightly bigger than Icicles No. 48, but I think it’s still beginner-friendly. Our tester, Cara, said, “It was simple and fun to use, and very easy to insert with just a small amount of lube.”
Its firm shape and rounded bottom will be perfect for those looking for a filling sensation; however, based on my experience, these types of plugs tend to slip out during sex, and their base doesn’t make them comfortable to sit on.
The one thing our tester, Cara, didn’t like was the quality of the plastic gem. She said it looked pretty, but she wished it had “better glue,” since the gem fell out after a few uses. Because of the gem, cleaning it will be harder, plus, hot water will make the gem lose its sparkle.

In my professional opinion, the Biird Anii is the perfect choice for beginners. It’s the slimmest butt plug on my list, and its ergonomic shape provides a comfortable and satisfying experience. I feel like it’s a fun addition to your bedroom while still looking quite elegant in itself.
This glass anal toy has a nice tapered tip and is very suitable for both beginners and intermediate users alike, with its 1.1-inch diameter at its widest. Our tester, Catherine, enjoyed the size and shape of this glass plug, saying, “It’s thick and heavy enough for me to never be able to forget while it’s there, but discreet enough that no one knows it’s in while I do the dishes and clean the house!” The flared base ensures safety during use, preventing any unwanted travel, while also making this glass butt plug comfortable for long-term wear.
The only thing that didn’t exactly work was the glow-in-the-dark feature. Catherine was disappointed that she didn’t experience the glow; however, “the quality of the product has soothed [her] broken heart.”

Glass Butt Plugs vs Other Materials
Anal glass toys are amazing anal toys. They generally have some weight to them (which adds more fullness), are usually visually appealing, are smooth to the touch, and respond well to temperature changes. Unlike glass anal beads that provide stimulation with movement, glass butt plugs provide a delicious feeling of fullness. However, these glass wonders aren’t the only butt plugs on the market, so let’s quickly take a look at the alternative options!
Silicone – Unlike glass butt plugs, silicone butt plugs are available in a variety of firmnesses. They’re also soft to the touch and offer some flexibility, which can work for (or against) you when it comes to insertion. You’ll definitely have more options when it comes to silicone butt plugs, but they aren’t as responsive to temperature changes and lack the visual appeal of your average glass plug.
PVC – These butt plugs are a more budget-friendly option than glass, but they have a couple of drawbacks. For starters, PVC is a porous material, which means it can’t be fully sterilized like glass can. Like silicone, PVC also lacks a visual appeal.
