My Verdict
The Hot Octopuss PleX out of the box is a very well made toy with a premium solid feel. The dual motors feel powerful with unique settings that make them work in tandem to create more pleasurable feel than a standard vibrating toy. For me personally, this toy was not a right fit as I have never really had any luck with the vibrating settings on anal toys. That being said, preferences are a major part of using sex toys and what is not perfect for me might send you to the stars with pleasure.

About The Hot Octopuss PleX
Overall the design is simple and effective. One of the main design features of the PleX is the very flexible neck, which allows the toy to be versatile when it comes to inserting and changing positions. Like most toys at the $100 price point the materials used feel high quality and durable. The PleX weighs more than you would think based on the size, but this is due to the two very powerful vibration motors inside. With such a simple or classic design the pleX can be enjoyed by people of all genders and along with a size that is approachable by anyone.

Personal Experience
First Impressions
The Hot Octopuss PleX would be best described as a traditional anal toy. This is not to be taken as a negative, as we all know, if it’s not broke, don’t fix it. Inside the packaging you get the PleX, a small remote, a storage bag, a screw driver to replace the battery in the remote, a USB charger and some instructions that go over how the different vibration settings work. Out of the box, the instructions say to charge for 4 hours before first use! This felt like a long charge time, and you would think it would have some juice out of the box. So, I waited and then finally was able to see how this duel motor toy worked. Another critique I have is the remote is very small, at probably 1.5 in by 1.5 inches. Out of the box, it didn’t work for me, even after changing out the battery.Getting Down With the PleX
After I had fully charged the PleX, I was able to have some fun with it. As a person who has gravitated prostate toys with a larger girth, the PleX was an easy fit. The smooth and high quality silicone exterior of the along with its simple and ergonomic shape made inserting it super simple and straightforward, which is not always the case with the larger toys. Once settled and ready for some fun, I turned on the 1st motor, which Hot Octopuss call ‘treble’ vibrations. The best way to describe this sensation is a traditional high frequency, buzzy motor found in many toys. Next, I turned on the Bass motor, which is where the PleX separates itself from everyone else. This motor has a low frequency rumbling feeling that I have never experienced before and felt very pleasurable. I worked my way through the different speeds and 5 vibration patterns to find what worked best for me. With the remote not working, I had to do this with the buttons on the toy, which are very easy to feel for and require very little pressure to push.Final Thoughts
To be completely honest, I have never really had luck getting a lot of pleasure of prostate stimulation with toys that vibrate and usually get over stimulated or start feeling numb during longer sessions. Sadly, it was no different this time. The addition of the Bass motor was great and added a different experience that felt great for part of the time, but eventually I still had a numb feeling that takes away from prostate play for me. Also, liking larger toys, this toy had a hard time giving me that full feeling I look for, but the size and shape of this toy means it will be part of my warm ups when I play with larger prostate toys. With my personal experience, I still think that, if you are a person who enjoys the sensation of vibrating motors and are looking for the next size up from a beginners toy, this would be an excellent addition to a toy collection.Design
The Plex has a very high quality feel from the soft silicone they use to the weight and finish of the toy. The design is basic but it is not trying to be anything more than a very high quality prostate vibrator. While the toy has the ability to flex easily at the base, I really didn't find a need for this using it solo. For me, I would have liked something bigger to get that full feeling tied in with the unique bass vibrations Hot Octopuss has added to this toy.
Ease of Use
The PleX is very easy to use with the on toy button that are easy to feel and large enough that you do not need to feel around to make sure you are pressing what you need. With my example coming with a remote that did not work if you are a person that might have trouble reaching the toy while in use could be a real disappointment.
Quality
The Hot Octopuss PleX toy has a very high quality feel to it, with it having a nice weight to it and having a high quality silicone exterior. The remote that it comes has easy to feel and ready buttons but feels very cheap compared to the PleX itself.
Price
With prices at around $100 I feel you might be able to find other product on the market that will perform as good as the PleX at a cheaper price, but you would miss out of the duel motor function which to me is the selling point of the Plex.
Performance
Overall, the Hot Octopuss PleX performed really well. The dual motors give a two very different sensations, one a more high frequency buzz like a traditional vibrator, while the second motor is very low frequency creating a strong rumbly feeling. The first charge for the PleX is 4 hours so if you run the battery all the way down you will be waiting to get up and running again. That being said, during my use of the toy, the battery life never cross my mind and I did not have to charge it again.
Packaging
The PleX comes in a black box with the normal toy information on it such as size, battery life, how long the fist charge should be, and a description of the treble and base motors inside. It would be hard to say the packaging is discreet with an image of the toy on the front, but also doesn't scream at the world that a sex toy is inside this box either.
Materials and care
The PleX is made from silicone with ABS plastic accents. It has a very high quality feel and weight, making it feel sturdy and high quality. You can see and feel all the seams are well put together, making it look sleek but also durable. It is advertised as water proof and I had no issues when cleaning the toy after a session.
Special feature
The main standout special feature of the Hot Octopuss PleX is the duel motors especially the base motor. It does create a unique sensations that is very enjoyable, even for me who has had issues with prolonged vibration use. One of the other major selling points of this toy is the ability to flex almost 90 degrees at the base which I could see being a great help for someone experimenting with different positions.
