Design

Visually, the Lioness Smart Vibrator was the modern artist at an underground party- intriguingly minimalist. Granite silicone and a crescent shaft teetered on the apex between bold and understated. Such simplicity beckoned for further exploration- to unlock what secrets may lie within such confident design choices. A touch further sparked desire, as the surface imparted a velvety embrace. It was an arousing lead to sensual play. For a luxurious edge, Lioness also offered this queen in Violet Purple.

Ease of Use

The design featured two buttons; one powered the motor on/off, while the other filtered through vibration modes. Users with limited vision may prefer more defined buttons. Additionally, they required precision force to activate, which may trouble arthritic users. A more accessible design would have included well-defined, easy-click buttons. The Lioness App guided me through the initial setup; after that, some may experience a learning curve. While it was simple enough to navigate, I wouldn't describe it as being "intuitive;" and data can be intimidating. Overall, I'd consider the Lioness Smart Vibrator to be a learnable tool for pleasure.

Quality

Vibration quality (how buzzy or rumbly it feels) is heavily determined by the vibrational frequency. The lower the frequency, the more rumbly the impact. My spectrum analyzer clocked the Lioness Smart Vibrator at 130 Hz on the lowest standard setting, and 250 Hz on the highest one. For reference, this was 70 Hz greater than my next buzziest vibe. In simple terms, it was a buzzy ride. That said, the product was packed with technical gadgets- and quality ones at that. The overall structure and materials felt sturdy enough to outlast the warranty. Although the Lioness App glitched once, it has since performed as a quality app should.

Price

The Lioness Smart Vibrator retailed for $229. It came with a USB charging cable, cotton storage bag, user guide, and (of course) App connectivity. Not to mention, it's packed with two force sensors, an accelerometer, and a temperature sensor. It's covered by a two-year manufacturer's warranty, in case of malfunction or defects; and additional coverage may be purchased, for accidents. While competitors may offer SOME similar features, nothing else offers active participation in sexual experimentation. In essence, users may improve medical research through masturbation. If that's your goal, the Lioness Smart Vibrator is worth every cent.

Performance

We know how it purred; how loud was the roar? With vibration on the highest setting, my sound meter read 57 dBA from a distance of 6-inches. This is approximately the volume of a conversation. Not bad. Speaking of noise... When the power button was pressed (while in Travel Mode) the Lioness would vibrate three times, before powering off. Personally, I would have preferred a more discrete notification- like an in-app message. As for the battery, the user guide listed a charging time of 80 minutes and 120 minutes of run time. My tests returned wildly different results. On average, the battery lasted 230 minutes on high and recharged in 110 minutes. That's quite an upgrade!

Packaging

This Lioness arrived in style. The bright yellow box was a pop of pure joy; and a fiesta hid inside, like an explosion of femininity. Purple leaves added a casual chic vibe to the outgoing aesthetic. I loved the way that the lid slid from half of the box, while the other opened like a secret compartment. One side cradled the toy, while the other contained the storage bag and accessories. The packaging conveyed, "this may be a scientific gadget; but it's a toy, first!" Perfection.

Materials and care

This smart vibrator was crafted from body-safe, medical-grade silicone. As with all silicone toys, one should only use water-based lubricant. The stimulating rabbit housed a tungsten motor, which is heat-resistant, durable, and wear-resistant. Lioness advertised the vibrator as being water-resistant, but I found no specific rating. It was easily cleaned using mild soap and warm water. I dried it thoroughly, prior to charging. The charger was simple to insert into the port, and indicator lights shone brightly enough to read from across the room. Once charged, it tucked neatly into the provided storage bag.
