My Verdict
The Lovehoney Delight Silk Lubricant is a great water-based lube to use during sex, with either your parent or by yourself. It is especially great for those who want a more realistic 'cum coloured' lubricant, instead of a translucent lube. It is a very basic lube, so if you're looking for something premium and high end, then this unfortunately isn't it. But that doesn't take away from the fact it is a great lube - it is water-based, so it can be used with all condom types and sex toy materials, it comes in a very easy to use pump bottle and it is cheap! If you wanted a quick lube to just add a little more wetness to the session, then this is a great option.

The Lovehoney Delight Silk Lubricant is a water-based sexual lubricant that is designed to add wetness and more slip to sexual activity. Adding more wetness, reduced friction and often makes sex more comfortable. This lube is compatible with all sex toy materials, including silicone and also works well with condoms. It comes in a hard plastic bottle that has a pump lid, which is easy to use and doesn't require much hand strength. When on the skin, the lube is thick and isnt runny, it doesn't move much. But once rubbed in, it becomes very watery and feels very wet. It dries out rather quickly as rubbing it for an extended amount of time. As it is a water-based lube, is has a neutral pH reading of 7. This lube contains glycerin, of which is typically not great for vagina owners, as it can often throw off the natural pH, as glycerin often promotes bacterial growth. Therefore, if you're a sensitive vagina owner, I would recommend a lube with more Organic ingredients.

The Lovehoney Delight Silk Lubricant ’s design features
I really like the design of The Lovehoney Delight Silk Lubricant - it is very simple but fun! Don't get me wrong, I have seen more lubes than the average human, so therefore I think I am in a great position to be as critical as I please about lube branding. This lube is certainly not the most magical or mind-blowing, but it is also not unforgettable. The front sticker is eye-catching and fun, with a laidback design and clear branding. I also quite liek the fact the bottle isn't transparent, it is slightly white fogged. I guess this is to replicated the white colour of the actual lube. The only thing that annoys me, is that it doesn't have a very gender neutral design. It uses the typical 'feminine' colours of pink and purple, of which I know my male partner wouldn't appreciate. But if you're happy to look past the branding's colour choices and get excited about what's inside the bottle, then it's definitely a great lube to add to the collection.
Unpacking the Usability of the Lovehoney Delight Silk Lubricant
This lube feels and looks great on the skin - When I first put it on my skin, it sat on the surface and felt and looked very thick. However, once I started to rub it in, it became very watery and smooth. The colour was a little intense before I started rubbing it in, it looked a little too white? I am pretty impartial to whether I like cum coloured lube, it doesn't bother me much, but this colour was a little too white and false. Yet once I had rubbed it into the skin, it kept its slight white glare and flickered between being translucent and white - I liked it. Unfortunately a typical trait of water-based lube is that it can dry out very qiucikly, and in this lube's case, that is apparent. But it doesn't become tacky, so with a top up of lube, I stayed pretty wet during sex. Lovehoney's Delight Silk lube is compatible with all condom types and sex toy materials, of which is great as I always try and opt for a water-based lube as I like to use silicone sex toys. I also flicker between using condoms and not, so it's good to know the success of the condom won't be affected.
The Lovehoney Delight Silk Lubricant : Quality vs Expectation
I am someone who always tries to opt for a water-based lube, as I like to have as neutral a lube as possible, in order to not throw off my pH level. So when I read ti was water-based, I was very happy. However, when I read that it contained glycerin, I was not so happy. Glycerin is a sugar that often promotes bacterial growth, especially in the vagina. This can then throw off the pH can cause an imbalance, therefore leading to a bacterial infection or UTI. Not what I want. If you're like me and have an opinionated downstairs, then I would opt for a lube that uses more natural, organic ingredients, that don't contain glycerin. But if this isnt a worry for you, then this is a great water-based lube to use with all types of sex toys or with a partner. The ingredients in this lube are: Water, Glycerin, Propylene Glycol, Sorbitan Stearate, Cetearyl Alcohol, Polysorbate 60, Hydrolyzed Silk, Sodium Hyaluronate, Cyclopentasiloxane, Carbomer, Dimethicone, EDTA, Hydroxyethylcellulose, PEG-45M, Tetrahydroxypropyl Ethylenediamine, Methylparaben, Sodium Benzoate.
The Lovehoney Delight Silk Lubricant : Is it Value for Money?
I think the price of this lube is very reasonable and inexpensive. It is a good quality lube that comes in a decent sized bottle, with an easy to use pump, from a respectable brand. If you are looking for a long lasting lube that doesn't require regular re-application, then this wouldn't be the best investment. But if you are looking for a reliable lube that does the job quickly and easily, then it is a good option to have in your bedside draw, in my opinion.
The Lovehoney Delight Silk Lubricant : Does it Deliver on Pleasure?
Initially, I thought it was one of the thicker lubes I had tried. If you know me and my lube exploration, I have grown to love thicker lubes, if they still feel natural when on the skin. I hate a lube that feels unnatural and plastic when rubbed in - This lube was still thick, but felt thinner when rubbed in, based on how watery it was when in use. I liked the feel of it initially, but the more friction that occurred and the more it was rubbed in, the drier it became. Even though that is a typical trait of water-based lubes, I have found longer lasting lubes on the market. It is a shame, as I wanted to like it as a functioning lube. I wouldn't use this lube with a partner, as I think the amount of movement would make it dry out twice as fast. I would probably use it with a small sex toy or during personal masturbation. I did like that it didn't become tacky once it had dried out - I hate the feeling of a tacky/sticky lube. With regards to using this lube with a sex toy, I would recommend using it with a small toy, like a bullet vibrator or to help fit a cock ring, but not a large dildo or something insertable, as I think it is going to dry out too quickly. If you don't care about reapplication, then this is a great lube, but personally I want one that lasts longer on its' own.
Unboxing the Lovehoney Delight Silk Lubricant : First Impressions
I have held a lot of lube bottles in my hand, with and without lube on my hands too. I cannot get my head around companies making bottles that are difficult to hold, when I have lube all over my hands! It's so annoying! So when I see a bottle like this; small and easy to hold and has a pump lid, my tail really starts to wag. My favourite type of lid on a lube bottle is a pump lid - it is so easy to use and I don't have to spend valuable time trying to twist off a cap when my hands are so slippery! I really like the way the bottle came sealed, with the lid fully attached to the bottle and the seal had to be broken off. It showed me that none of it had been used or tampered with, making it fully safe and trustworthy. As this lube is lower in price, I expected the bottle to be plastic and not made of a more premium material, like glass for example. But I didn't expect the plastic to be this high quality? The bottle is thick and the pump works very well - it doesn't feel cheap or feel like it was made in a rush. Lovehoney have outdone themselves with this one!
Material and care guide
We know by now that it is a white coloured lube, and not translucent. When on the bed sheets, it only left a wet patch where it sunk into the fabric, like most other lubes. It didn't discolour the sheets in any way, and washed out very easily. I even have grey bedsheets as well as white, and it didn't discolour those either or leave a lasting stain after washing.
