Design

The Heartbeat's design is romantic with luxurious smooth curves and a beautiful crimson color. The material itself is a body-safe silicone, free from Latex and Phylates (common allergens) so it's gentle against your skin. It's rechargeable via a USB cable and connects magnetically to the side of the toy. The nozzle hole itself is actually a similar size to the Lelo Sona Cruise. The surface that sits flush to your skin though is not as wide, which may become irritating. What frustrates me: There are two operating buttons on the side, a power button and intensity setting button. There are 10 intensity levels, which again is great to tailor to your needs, but you'll have to scroll through all of them even if you just wanted to go back to the previous level. The charging method is not my favorite.

Ease of Use

This toy is very easy to use. Simply hold down the power button for approx 2 seconds. There's only one other button to push that will bring you through all intensity settings. Want to turn it off? Hold the power button down approx 2 seconds. I found holding it in place to be relatively easy. My hand never cramped up and my thumb was right near the buttons which was convenient to change intensity. If it's uncomfortable for you to hold a toy with your fingers curved the whole time, it may get tiring. There is virtually no learning curve.

Quality

The overall quality is great. The Heartbeat feels high-end and sturdy with the controls working seamlessly every time. It's a very quiet toy, one of the most quiet that I own.

Price

If purchasing at full price, $59.99 is a little steep for what it is with the button simplicity, lack of app control or suction patterns. If you are able to purchase it at it's sale price of $29.99, I think you're more on target. That being said, it does feel like a high quality product with premium materials. No extras came with the heartbeat, just the charger.

Performance

The Heartbeat does live up to its online description. It feels good and with the 10 intensity levels, you really can tailor your experience. I often hear that clit suckers can be too intense and overstimulating...I feel that the lower level options on this toy can help individuals that have issues with that. It's very quiet at virtually every level. The battery did not get hot no matter how long it was in use. The battery lasts around 1 hour with a 2 hour recharging period. I will say that a lot of companies claim clit suckers feel like oral....that's definitely not the case in any that I've tried yet to include this one.

Packaging

The packaging is super simple and not particularly eye catching — think drug store packaging. If I walked past this box in a store, I don't know that I'd slow down to look at it. Included inside the box is a safety guide and quick start guide. The quick start guide is just that - a brief to the point instruction on how to operate the toy and also includes cleaning and travel lock instructions. The vibrator and charging cable were each inside individual little plastic bags. Overall, I'd be a little disappointed if I paid the original cost of $60 and received this....but for the marked down cost of $30 - I'd expect packaging like this.

Materials and care

The Lovehoney Heartbeat Clitoral Suction Stimulator is wrapped in a silky/soft body-safe, scarlet colored silicone. It's firm to hold, 100% waterproof (IPX7) and is also Latex-Free and Phthalate-Free. Clean it with warm water and a spritz or two of sex toy cleaner, then leave to air dry. While it comes wrapped in a plastic bag, it is not a bag I would store it in.
