Lelo Sona 2 Cruise

The SONA 2 cruise is a clitoral stimulator that uses Lelo's SenSonic technology. Rather than directly stimulating the area of the clitoris that sits outside the body, it uses pulsations to stimulate both internal and external parts of the clitoris. It also has cruise control, which means the toy increases the power in response to being pushed against the body, unlike many other toys that lose power when pressure is applied.

My Personal Experiences

My Personal Experiences with Lelo Sona 2 Cruise

First Impressions

Honestly, I was very excited to try the Lelo Sona 2 Cruise. All I can say is wow! This thing is seriously strong and definitely didn’t disappoint! Like many women, I experience orgasms mostly from clitoral stimulation, but I have never experienced clitoral orgasms quite like the ones with the SONA cruise 2. They were much more intense and felt a lot deeper. The orgasms also didn’t follow the standard pattern but seemed to build bit by bit with noticeable shifts upwards towards the end making that intense pre-orgasm feeling last for longer and the orgasm itself seemed to ripple through my body for longer than usual after.

A Whole New Sensation

Also, the intensity of the whole experience really takes over and forces you to be in the moment. The orgasm itself seemed to take over my whole body and the outside world kind of disappeared for a moment! I was pretty overwhelmed the first few times I used it and a little bit disappointed that everything was over too quickly, but this changed the more I used it and understood how my body responded to the different intensities and patterns. It is difficult to describe the exact sensation, but it is a much deeper, resonating pulse that doesn’t overstimulate the clitoris in any way. It feels more like a rippling pulse that is both smooth and intense at the same time — what I mean to say is it’s pretty amazing!

Multiple Orgasm Magic!

The indirect stimulation of the Lelo Sona 2 Cruise also made it much easier for me to have multiple orgasms —something I find difficult with a regular vibrator due to oversensitivity. As there is no direct clitoral contact, I found I could easily go for round two or three!

Sona 2’s Settings

I thought I would love the higher intensity settings, but I actually prefer the lower settings, as the higher ones were too intense and the fun was over too quickly! The lower settings give you more time to enjoy the sensations, play with the different patterns and build the intensity. I particularly love the rolling, wave-like patterns as the stimulation rises and falls building up to a super-powerful climax, sort of like edging.

Conclusion

This clitoral stimulator has added a completely new way of being stimulated to my repertoire, which has not only felt incredible but has also been an interesting learning experience. It's been really amazing to discover a whole new genre of clitoral orgasm! For me, getting to know a new sex toy and how my body responds to it makes it more exciting and really fuels my curiosity. This toy is perfect for a quick orgasm, which I think is a great part of any self-care routine, but it can also be enjoyed using the slower settings or as foreplay with a partner. I also found that it worked great for nipple stimulation. The SONA 2 cruise is easiest to use lying down or sitting in a chair, as it is easy to keep the mouth of the toy in a steady position or even use your thighs to hold it in place. I'm still undecided on the cruise control function and think it will take more time for me to decide which camp I'm in!  The price tag is steep, but I think if it's within your budget, and you enjoy intense clitoral stimulation, then it's worth every penny!

How to use Lelo Sona 2 Cruise

Although the Lelo Sona 2 Cruise is a clitoral stimulator, that doesn't mean you can't use it on other parts of your body. The Sona can be used for any type of external stimulation that feels good to you. You just need to get a bit creative!

Clitoral Stimulation
Lelo Sona 2 Cruise
1. Apply some water-based lube to your clitoris. 2. Use two fingers to gently spread your labia and reveal your clitoris. 3. Turn the Lelo Sona 2 Cruise on and turn the Sona down to the lowest setting (trust me, you want to start here otherwise your clitoris might go into shock!) 4. Place the mouth over your clitoris and adjust the position until it feels good. You might also prefer to have it above or below your clitoris. 5. Now you can hold the Sona in place while it works its magic! You can scroll through the different patterns and turn the intensity up as you like.

FAQ

How loud is the LELO SONA 2 cruise?
The SONA 2 cruise is pretty loud, especially when using the higher intensity volumes. LELO's specifications state the maximum noise level as 50dB, which is roughly equivalent to the background noise you would find at home. It is loudest when in contact with your skin as it makes a deeper vibrating noise. We checked this with a decibel app and found that the higher settings tend to hit the 50 dB mark but, if you angle the toy in a certain way or it vibrates against you in a certain way, it can jump above that level to around 60dB.
How does the LELO SONA 2 cruise work?
The SONA 2 cruise uses when LELO call SenSonic technology. The product uses sonic waves, rather than a vibrating motor, to deliver pulses of air that stimulate the clitoris, both the external part we all know and love and the lesser-known internal parts. The silicone mouth transmits these waves towards your clitoris.
How long does the LELO SONA 2 cruise take to charge?
The LELO SONA 2 cruise takes 2 hours to charge and lasts for up to 1 hour of play time or up to 90 days standby time.
What does the cruise function do on the SONA cruise?
The cruise function kicks the power up a notch when you push the toy into your body, even when you are using the highest intensity. This was designed to combat the common problem of sex toys losing power if you apply too much pressure.
What lubrication can I use with the Lelo Sona 2 Cruise?
As the Sona is made from silicone, you should use water-based lubrication.
How to turn off the Lelo Sona 2 Cruise?
To turn off the device, hold down the middle button.
