My Verdict
Long story short, I recommend this toy for penis owners. Personal Experience
This was the first ever sex toy I purchased and it is still going strong even after a couple of years. I was nervous about the purchase initially, given that it was priced lower than most other masturbators and fleshlights that I had my eye on. However, my leap of faith paid off and I am generally very satisfied with the toy. Let’s break down the experience:
First Impression
I loved how the packaging was discreet like Lovehoney had promised. Upon unboxing, I was pleasantly surprised by the large size of the masturbator, since I did want something that I could fully fit inside. I liked the simple design, and how easy it was to pull the entire thing apart to clean.Normal Usage
Most of the time, the way I have used this masturbator is by first running it through water (hot water if you want to warm it up a little), to make sure its clear of any dust it picked up in storage. Then, I pour a water-based lube inside the opening, and use my fingers to rub it around inside so that it covers at least half of the canal. Next, I use the same lube on my penis, and this makes for really easy insertion. I have tried lubing just my penis, and conversely just the sex toy, but those cause too much friction at the start so I would not recommend either. When you do slide inside, it did shock me a little with how tight it really is, and you really feel the ridges and bumps inside. From then onwards, you can either use your hand to move the toy while keeping yourself still, or keep the toy still with your hand and thrust inside. It as a suction clip at one end, which is basically just something you can open and close to either let air in and out as you thrust, or keep it trapped. I have always reached orgasm fairly quickly with either setting, sometimes even embarrassingly quickly, because of how tight it is and how you feel the texture on your penis really strongly; this may or may not be a con, depending on what you are looking for. However, the change in suction was not too noticeable for me.Alternate Usage
After having the toy for a few months to a year, I decided to experiment a little with different usage styles. One, is to remove the inner tube from the casing entirely and just use that as the masturbator. Since it’s very soft and ‘fleshy’, you have to do slightly more effort to keep it in the right position for thrusting in, but this also enables you to grip it harder to make it tighter, and also gives it kind of a see-through effect, if that’s your thing. Another experiment I tried was trying to squeeze the toy between something so that I could thrust into it hands-free. Since the outer surface is relatively smooth, you need it between sturdy objects, like the space between your mattress and your bed frame, or between the cushions of your sofa. However, I have always had mixed experiences since the toy still keeps moving around and I had to use my hands to adjust it again and again, which defeated the purpose for me.Post-Usage Clarity
After orgasm, is when the experience goes downhill for me, but I wouldn’t say that is something specific to this particular masturbator. I believe that is common for all sex toys of a similar nature. You have to take apart the sex toy fully to clean, which is really easy to do: you unscrew both ends, pull the canal out of the tube, and use running water and a little soap to clean the insides. To do this, you will have to essentially finger it from both ends. Your ejaculate will most likely be inside the cap on the other end, so make sure you clean that as well. Finally, you will also need to clean the outside casing of the lube that it got because of your hands, which is the most annoying to clean in my opinion, since it is a glossy surface.Design
The masturbator is designed well, with a tight opening, soft material and a heavily textured canal, which is guaranteed to feel amazing with every thrust. The modular design, which allows you to take apart the toy easily is also great since cleaning a masturbator after use is usually the trickiest part of the whole process. Cleaning the caps and the canal is simple, however, the design of the outer casing could be improved. Since it is made of glossy plastic, it gets slippery when you inevitably handle it with your lubed-up hands. The lube is also difficult to get off the glossy plastic and you need a significant amount of soap and some scrubbing to really clean it.
Ease of Use
Overall, the toy is extremely easy to use for someone with no mobility or grip issues. The outer surface can get a little slippery if you got some lube on it, but it does not compromise your grip to anywhere close to the extent where the toy becomes unusable. It is very clear which opening is meant for insertion, and if you use an adequate amount of lube, it is an easy toy to use and enjoy.
Quality
For the price, the product is very good quality. The material of the canal is only just showing slight signs of wear after two years, but has not compromised its ability to provide pleasure. There are minimal signs of corrosion because of cleaning with soap, and there is no leakage of bodily fluids from either of the caps. The plastic of the outer casing could be improved with better design for grip, however, I would not consider this a deal-breaker at all. Thrusting inside the toy is mostly silent; the only time you can hear a sound is if you have the suction clip opened; you will hear a rhythmic airy sound escaping the masturbator with each thrust, but it should not raise any eyebrows from your roomates or neighbours for sure.
Price
100% worth it, just owing to the fact that this cost around 45USD, and is still going strong after two years. That sounds like a worthy investment for amazing orgasms to me. Given that there were several other options that were significantly more expensive than this one, I am pleasantly surprised by the value for money. The box contained no extras however, just the masturbator.
Performance
The toy performed exactly the way it was advertised on Lovehoney's website and performs perfectly...but might overperform in certain cases. The canal was much more textured than I thought and the opening tighter than I thought (again, may be a con if you're girthier). Lovehoney markets "staming training" as a use-case for the product, however, I have always reached orgasm much quicker than I wanted to with this, which was a good thing most of the time, but I did wish it was perhaps not as tight so I could last longer.
Packaging
The packaging was simple and basic, a square box with the toy and its features pictured on it. It was easy to unbox and figure out how to use the toy. The toy also had a plastic rod inserted in the canal which kept it in shape throughout shipping and storage, which I thought was a neat touch. Overall, no complaints with the packaging of the toy.
Materials and care
The materials are advertised as body-safe and non-porous on Lovehoney's product listing. They claim the product is made is phthalate-free and feels like soft plastic. The masturbator is a little heavier than you would think, but at the same time, feels sturdy and well made. The toy is also waterproof and can be submersed fully in water as well. I would recommend cleaning the toy with running water and a little soap, by using your fingers to reach every part of the canal from both ends, and letting the toy air-dry. It does not come with a storage bag.
