My Verdict
I have to admit, I'm usually a little skeptical about the calibre of toys you get in an advent calendar. Often they come with very basic toys that could be fun if you are totally new to sex toys but not much more than that. However, I have to say this Lovehoney Advent Calendar has some really high quality products that even those with more experience will enjoy! One consideration is that this calendar definitely designed for couples with one penis owner and one vulva owner and it's a shame there aren't more options. Even though I've been reviewing sex toys for years now, there was plenty here that got me excited! I think opening each one day by day with a partner makes for some really fun foreplay and is a great way to get a bit more adventurous. What better way to spend those cold, dark nights! The calendar comes with handcuffs, ankle cuffs, and a bed restraint system. I am a huge fan of under-bed restraints, and love that you can leave them in place once they are set up. It’s also nice you can use the cuffs with the bed restraints or separately. The wrist and ankle cuffs have a soft lining and fasten with velcro, making them very beginner friendly! I also think the spanking paddle and nipple clamps have a gorgeous design! The paddle is great for light spanking and has a shimmering swirling design. I have to say though, I think the nipple clamps might just be my favorite item! I LOVE the little lightning strike charms so much! I think it’s clever that you get a range of toys that can be used with the bullet vibrator! The bullet itself is fairly powerful but quite buzzy. It’s also waterproof and rechargeable. I can be used inside the dildo, vibrating cock ring, finger vibrator sleeve, penis sleeve and prostate massager, all of which are made of silicone apart from the stroker. It can be a little tricky to slide the bullet in and out of the other toys, so I recommend using a little lube to ease things along!Design
Even before you open it up to reveal the boxes inside, the calendar has a beautiful, luxurious look to it! The red outer cover has a sprinkling of gold snow and hearts, which upon closer inspection are actually the Lovehoney logo. It opens up, book-style, to show all the little boxes with different patterns and finishes. The outer case actually has three inner compartments to hold the boxes so when you pull one out, they don't all fall down, which I thought was clever! The other thing I really like about the design, is that each box has a small prompt or question on it to spark inspiration when using whatever toy is inside. I think this is a really great way to start a sexy conversation with your partner and get the foreplay going all day!
Ease of Use
I would say that Lovehoney have done a really great job of putting together an advent calendar that will appeal to people with pretty much any level of sex toy experience! It's very beginner-friendly and I would say this is an amazing way to expand your experiences and sex toy collection! I like that the bondage and impact play toys they've chosen to use can be enjoyed by complete beginners but also have something to offer those with more experience.
Quality
My concern with advent calendars is that you could end up with a lot of ok toys, but that's definitely not the case with this one! It features two toys from top brands Womanizer and We-Vibe. Plus the other items are also great quality! All of the insertable toys are made from body-safe silicone, aluminium or abs plastic and the restraints feel nice and sturdy! There are a couple of items that don't feel quite as luxurious that might not get as much use, but that's to be expected! It's also great that all of the toys with motors, apart from the mini wand, are rechargeable! I also really appreciate that the Womanizer Liberty 2 comes with a 5-year and the We-Vibe Sync Lite comes with a 2-year warranty so you can rest assured that you'll get plenty of play time out of your new toys!
Price
Considering the kit contains the Sync Lite, which usually costs $89 and the Womanizer Liberty 2, which is usually $99 for the Womanizer Liberty, I think it's a great deal at just under $200! It's also just over $8 a day which definitely isn't bad for the amount of fun you are getting! This is a really fun way to completely overhaul your sex toy collection!
Performance
The Lovehoney Advent Calendar definitely got me in the mood for Christmas and for some experimentation in the bedroom! Had I been enjoying this day by day, opening it with a partner, it would have been even more exciting! The little bullet vibrator is pretty powerful and quiet but more on the buzzy side. The We-Vibe Sync Lite feels great quality and is very quiet, even on max speed. It's not quite as powerful or rumbly as the Chorus, but I think it still adds a lot of stimulation to sex with a penis or dildo and will be enough to satisfy most needs. I also like that the internal portion is a little slimmer, so it doesn't intrude as much on whatever is penetrating you. It was super easy to connect to the We-Vibe app and had a good connection. The Womanzier Liberty 2 also has a good amount of power and the pulses feel deep and resonating. Like many clit suckers it's a little noisy though!
Packaging
I think the packaging is absolutely gorgeous! The gold and red design is festive, it's sexy and it definitely gives off luxury vibes (it also contains luxury vibes)! It looks fantastic sitting on my shelf waiting to be opened each day! I love that they chose to put each present in a little box rather than behind a door as they always end up looking so messy!
Materials and care
It's a really nice touch that you get both toy wipes and toy cleaner in the advent calendar so you've got everything you need to keep your new toys clean! I'm super happy that the advent calendar only contains insertable toys made of silicone or aluminium so you know you are getting body-safe, long-lasting products! Of the vibrating toys, the rechargeable bullet and Womanizer Liberty 2 are both waterproof, the We-Vibe Sync Lite is splashproof, and the mini wand is not waterproof at all. My only issue is that once you've opened everything, there are no storage bags! While it's not necessary for the more bondage based items, it would be nice to have some for the vibrators and dildo.

How Does it Compare to Last Year’s Lovehoney Calendar
Overall, the contents of the 2024 Lovehoney advent calendar are fairly similar to last years. However, the main difference is that instead of getting the Womanizer Premium 2, which is a slightly more premium product, this year they have included 2 toys — the Womanizer Liberty 2 and the We-Vibe Sync Lite Couples vibrator. While they aren’t quite on the same level as the Womanizer Premium, they are still fantastic quality and will be enough to more than satisfy most tastes! I think the inclusion of an app-controlled couple’s vibrator as one of the main gifts is a fantastic addition as it’s more intuitive to use with a partner than a clit suction stimulator. Another upgrade is the packaging. I love that this years calendar as little removable boxes that hold each toy instead of the perforated windows in last years. No matter how carefully I try to open those perforated windows, they always end up ripping and leaving the calendar looking messy! But not this year! The boxes slip out so nicely and are easy to open. You can even use them to store the toy in if you want to! Plus, they have little prompts for using each toy on the side!
