Personal Experience

Alright, to be honest, our experience with the ROMP Juke Vibrating Cock Ring was less than favorable. For me, a couple’s sex toy needs to add to the fun and pleasure of sex for both partners to be a great toy. That being said, the ROMP Juke isn’t terrible, it’s just not amazing, either.

Out of the Box

The first thing to do, the ROMP Juke being a battery-operated toy, is to pull it out of the box and charge it. Once everything was in place, I plugged in the USB, grabbed the toy and the toy-end of the plug and tried to insert the charger. It wouldn’t go. I pressed harder, still nothing. Then, I gently maneuvered the plug around until I could feel the opening and inserted the charger into the toy. A less patient person may have either broken the plug or given up, but I was determined to make this work.

Good Vibrations

Once fully charged, I can never help but test the vibrations before the Main Event. I unplugged the ROMP Juke, which was much easier than plugging it in, and pressed the button. Nothing! Not even a click. I felt around the yellow plastic buttony-looking thing and finally found a “click” and the device turned on. Here, the toy shined. Once I could find the button, I was able to cycle through the patterns and began to get excited about the prospect of using this vibrating cock ring with my wife. The vibes were strong and the curve and texture of the toy held promise. It was time to go to bed.

The Letdown

Once my wife and I were able to get together, I was excited to surprise her with the ROMP Juke. She was intrigued and gave it a go, but was immediately let down by the shape of the toy. It was so uncomfortable that she had me remove it within minutes. The curve dug right into her pelvic bone and missed her clit completely. I had such high hopes for this toy due to its shape but, in reality, the curve is far too aggressive and completely missed the “mark” for her.

For Me

The ROMP Juke, for me, performed like any other vibrating cock ring. It fits snugly and keeps it hard, as promised, but that’s not why I use rings. To me, the tight fit of a cock ring numbs me and will increase my endurance (which my wife doesn’t enjoy), and only serves a purpose if it can bring pleasure to her. This one didn’t. To me, the vibrations feel good for a while but if I go for too long, they just add to the numbness.

Not An Awful Toy

To be fair, the ROMP Juke is not a terrible toy. It just didn’t work for me or my wife. Other than the alignment issues with the charger and the button, the Juke feels like a high-quality toy. As a cock ring, it works very well and feels amazing on the shaft, though the vibrations and pressure may cause numbness. If your lady likes you to last longer, this would be a great cock ring to try. The tight fit and vibration will feel good but will also extend your staying power.

“For Science”

Determined to give the ROMP Juke a fighting chance, I did something I never do; I asked my wife to unromantically try a few different positions and give me feedback. We tried them all with the toy in the normal position and reversed to that the flat end was against her clit: Missionary, Spooning, Cowgirl, none of them would do anything for her. Missionary with the toy reversed was the only one she could even tolerate. What a trooper!
