- 75% of people have a romantic partner; 55% of those with a romantic partner are sexually active
- 2 out of 3 people aged +70 are interested in having sexual activity
- 75% of the +70 years old said they were satisfied with their current sex life
- 84% of men think that sex is essential. Whereas only 69% of females find it important
- Children from the current +70 generation are estimated to be 25% more sexually active than their parents
How sex changes for women
- Older women define sexual activities as intercourse (Researchers and younger people do not necessarily have the same definition)
- The healthier a woman is the higher the probability of sexual activity for the partner
- After menopause, many women do not have the same sex drive, and 90% do therefore say they prefer a longer “foreplay”. Some of them even say that their partner should start the foreplay 24 hours before the intercourse.
How sex changes for men
- Men have compared to women a higher sex drive
- 2 out of 3 men over 70 do have problems with erection

- STDs for people aged +70 years old have increased by 25% since last year
