System JO Organic Lube Review
My Verdict
I usually like to be as fair as possible, and see the good in things, but this lube was really not a favourite of mine. The things I liked; the lid and bottle was very easy to use and the design of the packaging was eye-catching. It had a good pH balance of 6 which means that it slightly acidic. This is good as it means that it is more likely to be a close match to my own personal pH balance, therefore reducing the risk of an infection. I really like water-based lubes as I think they feel more natural and I prefer to use silicone toys. Despite the ups, there were downfalls; I didn't like the texture. It came out in a gel like spill, not having a constant flow and felt a bit gloopy! It was also not translucent, and looked green/yellow in the bottle, as well as on my skin. It even stained my sheets! The front packaging looked a little cheap, and the lid felt like the plastic was cheap to. This lube really just didn't tickle my fancy.

About The System JO Organic
The System JO Organic lube is a water-based lube that is made out of organic ingredients and is free of glycerin. It can be used with all condom and sex toy materials and it has a pH level of 6. This shows that it is an acidic lube which is a good reading, a this is closer to matching the body's natural pH reading. The bottle is made of plastic that is reasonably easy to squeeze, as well as an easy-to-use click close lid. This lube does not have a constant flow when it comes out of the bottle; it is a lumpy, gel like substance that is watery but smooth when on the skin. It is not tacky but it is thick, and is not translucent but a light green/yellow colour, that does stain cotton.

Design
The bottle itself looks good - I like the eye-catching green design with the clear and informative branding. I also like tall bottles as I feel like I am getting more for my money. For a reasonably cheap product, the bottle looked like the price tag. The lid was made of plastic (I liked the click-close feature) but it was nothing special. I think it would blend in nicely in my bathroom cupboard, as it doesn't really look like a lube, but more of a fun skin care product. Like the Pjur lubes, the JO lubes also follow the same designs, all looking like they are a part of the same collection. I like have familiar packaging as I think it is easier to see the difference between the products, them being Organic vs Silicone for example.
Ease of Use
When on the skin, I could definitely tell that this was a water-based lube. It washed off my hands almost immediately and didn't linger on the skin after I had dried them. I usually like water-based lube, as I think it feels more natural and less synthetic. Yet this lube washed off so fast, that I was worried that it wouldn't last that long during sex. It held up for the most part but when on a dildo, it didn't exactly seal the toy, it just created a very thin layer all over it, just making it wet. If you are looking for a lube that is thin and watery, then this one would probably be best if you're having some 'just you time' or for foreplay. I did like the way that this lube wasn't tacky at all, as I hate when lubes start to dry and get sticky.
Quality
This lube is FDA approved, like all the other System JO lubes, which means that it has been certified trialed and tested - I really value this for something that is potentially going inside my body, as I want it to be as safe as possible. This lubes' pH is also 6 (acidic), which is a great reading for a lube. As a vagina owner, I don't want my natural pH balance to be thrown off balance, so something slightly acidic to match my pH is great and something I value a lot. I really don't want irritation or even an infection! This lube has all organic ingredients, including water, chamomile extract, agave extract, citrus extract, aroma, carrageenan and rosemary extract.
Price
Even though this lube has an affordable price tag, I am arguing with myself if it is even worth the price. Sure, you get a lot for a little price, it works perfectly fine on the skin and does what it says it will do. I just really don't like the texture! If you can get over the gel like texture, then definitely purchase it, but I am lover of a very slimy, smooth lube that hardly feels like there is anything on my skin. To add, the colour of the lube! When it was on white bed sheets, it looked yellow! it washes out very easily and doesnt leave a stain after washing, but it didn't exactly make the experience very sexy.
Performance
The System JO organic lube us a water-based lube, so it typically wont last as long as a silicone lube. This lube felt watery and smooth when on a sex toy, but it did dry out pretty fast. It has an easy to use bottle so there was no problem using more whenever I needed to, but it didn't last as long as I did. When pouring it out of the bottle, there was no constant stream. Instead, it came out in watery chunks, like small blobs on lube. When I started rubbing it into the skin it started to even out and become a more fluid liquid, but otherwise I didn't like the texture.
Compatibility
I really like tall bottles - I think they are easier to hold and squeeze out the product. This bottle was very similar to the Pjur bottles and the ID bottles, so it looked good on my shelf next to them. The best part about the packaging was the lid - it has a click-close lid that easily dispenses the lube out of the bottle. I really don't like screw lids as I find them hard to unscrew when I have lube on my hands. So this bottle had a great design! The bottle wasn't made of hard plastic, like the Sliquid lubes, so the packaging was the selling point for me.
Stain Test
Out of all the lubes that I have reviewed and tested, this is one of the only lubes that has a colour to it. The JO Organic is a chamomile and vanilla scented lube, that smelt a little too chemical for me. When I put the lube on my skin, it wasn't translucent, it looked a little green/yellow! When it got onto my white sheets, it stained them that colour too! Yes after washing the sheets, they were not stained and were fully white once again, but they looked really strange when the lube had just got on them. Looked a little like pee! Let's just say it didn't look he sexiest thing in the world.
