Design

This toy looks great! It has a nice iridescent, almost copper like color to it. The pictures don't do it justice on how it catches the light and just looks like a good high quality toy. Tantus has really nailed the formula for their 100% Ultra-Premium Silicone, the material is delightfully squishy with just the right balance of firmness to it. The addition of a second ridge to the toy will give you a nice and pleasant jolt once you've squeezed past it and your body naturally sucks the rest of the toy in.

Ease of Use

If you've purchased this toy as an intermediate user then it should be relatively easy to use. If you're new to the world of ultra soft silicone you might have a little bit of a learning curve when it comes to realizing how slippery the toys can get when coated in lube. It can come as a surprise that they seem to magically jump out of your hands at some of the most inopportune moments - but hey, a user could take that as a bit of a tease, a little bit of foreplay before the fun starts. Given the relatively small size of the toy the squishiness and malleability of the material isn't much, if any, hindrance to insertion. Again, there might be a small learning curve while you adjust to how the toy needs to be properly aligned for insertion to prevent it from bending out of place.

Quality

I have only good things to say about the quality of this product. The material that Tantus uses has all of the qualities that one could ask for in a toy like this. The colors that come through are beautiful, and it's nice to see a toy that has a burst of color instead of a more standard, plain color. The Tantus Severin is pliable, but yet firm enough to hold it's shape. I can say that the ultra soft silicone used in this toy has been the highest quality I've ever experience and I'm going to be seeking out more toys from Tantus' ultra soft lines.

Price

I'm a bit hard pressed to say that this toy is worth the money. Don't get me wrong, it's an excellent toy, the material it's made of is of the highest quality you can get, it looks and feels beautiful - BUT it's a crowded market for a product of this size. Many other reputable brands are selling similar toys for a fraction of the price. There's no extra's included, no box, no fancy packaging to drive up price, I would expect a toy that's packaged like it is, made to hang on a hook on a shelf, with no moving parts and no electronics or metals would be priced a bit more competitively.

Performance

The Tantus Severin has a surprisingly accurate description on the Tantus website. Other than Tantus' claims about a fist, which I addressed earlier, the toy lives up to its promises. The good people at Tantus aren't pulling your leg (or any other part, unless you're asking nicely) about the performance and features of their toys. The Tantus toys by and large live up to the descriptions and performance claims Tantus makes. It's refreshing to see a brand not over-hype a product, and the product actually living up to and in some cases exceeding the stated expectations.

Packaging

The plug arrived in a package I wasn't expecting - a sealed plastic/foil bag. I wasn't sure if I liked this at first since I'm used to getting my toys in either fancy packaging or having them be so large that they don't fit in packaging and are simply shrink-wrapped. After a bit of thought I realized that this was great packaging for a toy like this - more environmentally friendly, lighter, easier for people to pick up and give a good squeeze to get a feel of the plug. The back of the packaging gives a brief overview of care instructions and materials used. Unfortunately, the packaging does not give a list of measurements for this toy, which I feel is sorely needed if you're a beginner training to go bigger with their toys. I was glad to see that this toy was produced in Mexico instead of coming from China (which has a dubious record at best on product and material quality).

Materials and care

The Tantus Severin Super Soft is created from some of the best quality silicon I've ever had the pleasure of feeling. I own a few Tantus toys, but this is the first one that is "super soft" and it's amazing. It's poured with Tantus' unique formula of 100% medical-grade, body-safe silicone. The material is sturdy, but has a surprising amount of flexibility and give to it, in a good way. Tantus has the cleaning instructions for this toy listed on their website - it's able to be cleaned easily with just soap and water and is also durable enough to withstand a brief cleaning in a pot of boiling water or even a trip through the dishwasher. Although I personally stick to the soap and water method of cleaning unless the toy has been played with by others it's nice to know that it should be able to hold up to more thorough cleaning. Unfortunately this toy does not come with any sort of simple care instructions on the bag, and although most people buying a toy like this would know how to clean it, it's always nice to see it clearly stated instead of having to go to the website to find the additional information.
