Design

This piece is pure eye candy! Studded with black or pink spikes on a black plastic frame, I can easily imagine wearing it with a goth, sissy, Lolita, rubber doll, femboy, or leatherman outfit. It's easy to accessorize with this stylish piece, like the Barbie's Dream House of chastity cages. And like Barbie's Dream House, it's also relatively soft plastic, making it comfy, stylish, and great for simple (ie., newbie) play, but unsuited for anything too serious. This will not hold up to serious play or work for long-term use, and I found that the thin penis sheath was just incompatible with my anatomy, but I can see a lot of people really enjoying this.

Ease of Use

The Cellmate Flexispike Chastity Cage is put on the same way as most chastity cages: slip both testicles through the base ring one at a time, pull the penis through next, and pull it up snugly against the body. Then slide the cage over the shaft and secure the cage to the base ring. Finally, slide the lock into place in a slot on the left side of the cage where the base ring meets the top of the cage. I found that the spikes are fairly easy to pull out of their slots and push back in, but the process is tedious and requires fine motor skills. It also took me a while to figure out the best technique. I found I needed to manipulate them from the outside of the cage, which can be done whether or not I was wearing it. Trying to push them from the inside out was very difficult and near-impossible in the bottommost sections.

Quality

The Cellmate Flexispike Chastity Cage feels very mid-range in terms of quality. The softer plastic is fairly comfortable and the silicon spikes are good for sensation play, but every size of penis sheath has the same girth, which feels like a major oversight. This is a very pretty cock cage but it's not the most functional.

Price

For what you're getting, this is a really good price! In addition to the penis sheath and four different-sized base rings, this set has enough spare spikes to ensure you should never run out, no matter how many you might lose. It also has two different types of locks, including a plastic one that won't set off metal detectors. You're getting a lot for this price.

Performance

This toy was every bit as beautiful as I could have imagined from the pictures I had seen. However, the poor fit was a major disappointment and the spikes were far gentler than I was hoping for.

Packaging

One thing I can say for Cellmate as a company: they know how to pack a lot of materials efficiently and beautifully into a small box (something I wish translated to their other work).

Materials and care

The The product description says it's made from "high-quality resin material, hand-finished" while the spikes are silicone. I couldn't find info on the specifications of the resin. The toy is lightweight, waterproof, can be worn in the shower, and is easy to hand wash with antibacterial soap or toy cleaner. You can keep the box to store it when not in use. In addition to the standard metal cylinder lock, it comes with 5 ABS plastic locks designed to never set off through metal detectors, should you want to wear it on your next flight.

Special feature

It should hopefully be no surprise by this point, but the Flexispike Chastity Cage has (drum roll) flexible spikes. These come in sets of black and pink silicone, and they are interchangeable. When the spikes are pointed outward, the studded look of the cage is striking, but they can be pulled out and turned around to press into the penis. I found there’s a brief mild pinch the moment they’re pushed through that immediately abides. Handling the spikes takes some fine motor skills and can be a bit tedious and cumbersome.
