Intimate Earth Melt Warming Lube Review
My Verdict
This warming lube is the younger brother to the Intimate Earth Mojo Horny Goat Weed lube; it is cheaper, doesn't get as hot but does last longer. If you're wanting an introductory warming lube, then this might be a great start. I liked it, but didn't adore it - sure, it warmed me up and felt smooth and conditioning on the skin, but I am someone who loves temperature play, so I appreciate a lube that gets really hot! The packaging and quality of the product is great, with a low price tag, so on those terms I have no negatives! It satisfied me greatly, but didn't make me WOW! It's up to you how intense you want your lube, but I don't think I'll re-purchase after the bottle empties... its' older brother though...!
Buy, if you...
- Like less intense warming lubes
- Want a lower priced lube
- Appreciate the packaging fo your products
Don't buy, if you...
- Like an intense warming lube
- Don't like lube that you have to activate through friction
About The Intimate Earth Melt
The Intimate Earth Melt Warming lube is a thick lube that needs friction for its warming features to be triggered. It needs constant rubbing, otherwise the lube almost separates on the skin, feeling sticky and dry. It doesn't become tacky, but it needs constant rubbing to feel wet on the skin. It is quite an oily feeling lube, so it feels smooth and conditioning on the skin. It is latex condom compatible, as well as compatible with all sex toys materials, as it is a water based lube. It has a pH balance of 7, showing that it is a neutral lube, just like the Horny Goat Weed Warming lube by Intimate Earth. It comes in an easy to use plastic bottle, that is easy to squeeze and has a click-close lid. I would recommend this lube for more advanced users, as it needs constant friction to stay active. It isn't a lube you can just rely on to do the work itself!
Pros

Cons

Design
Some brands of lube are very good at making all of their products look as good as each other; high quality and attractive, and Intimate Earth is no exception. Like their other lubes, the Melt Warming lube has eye-catching and attractive packaging, where the design on the bottle attempts to match what is inside. For example, this lube smells slightly like cinnamon, so they have tried to match the brown colour ways with this. I love it! For me, putting thought into the packaging is just as important as the product, as I think packaging is a large selling point. The bottle looks and feels luxurious, and so does the product. 10/10 execution by Intimate Earth.
Ease of Use
This lube is definitely on the thicker side, and feels smooth and coating when on the skin. It is very similar to the other Intimate Earth warming lube, as it works with latex condoms and all types of sex toys materials. It has a slight cinnamon smell which is appealing and adds a depth to the product. Its only downside for me is that it is quite hard to rub on the skin and must be constantly rubbed I order to stay warm. If it is not rubbed constantly, the lube starts to separate on the skin and also become hard to rub. It certainly isn't the slipperiest of lubes. I would recommend it for anal activities, as I think it might slow it down a little too much! This lube is very easy to wash off the skin, and leaves it feeling smooth and conditioned after use.
Quality
The quality of this lube feels very luxurious and high end. It feels smooth and thick on the skin, as well as heats up and does what it labels itself to do. This lube has a pH reading of 7, meaning that it is a neutral lube - In my opinion, this is neither a positive of a negative, as it tries to make itself as neutral as possible, in order to not interfere with a woman's natural vaginal pH. Some other lubes on the market attempt to match their pH with a vagina's natural pH, in order to reduce the risk of infection, which I appreciate. Therefore, I would recommend this lube to be used by penis owners. To add, this lube contains glycerin, which increases the risk of vaginal infections, so I would typical avoid these types of lube, as I would rather not deal with any complications!
Price
This lube has an attractive price-tag, certainly being cheaper than the other warming lube from Intimate Earth. Its performance does reflect the price tag however, as it is the hottest lube on the market... For a recognisable brand that typically has high quality products, I would definitely pay this price for this lube. Compared to other temperature lubes on the market, it is cheap!
Performance
The Intimate Earth Melt is a lube that must be activated and constantly rubbed to feel it working. Its warming feature cannot be felt unless friction occurs, so I wouldn't say it has a long lasting affect, without re-applying. It is a thick lube that would certainly coat even large sex toys, but I wouldn't recommend using it with a butt plug, for example. Toys that are constantly moving or being inserted would be best for this lube, in order for you to feel the full effects. I would recommend a fleshlight or dildo with this lube, to feel all of its features!
Compatibility
I have already expressed how I am a fan of Intimate Earth as a brand and especially their bottle designs for their lubes! The bottle is made of plastic that is easy to squeeze, so it is great for people that have weak hand muscles. The Melt bottle has a click-close lid, which is easy to use, even when your hands are covered in lube. By having this lid, it also gives the bottle more accuracy when squeezing the lube onto your desired area of the body or toy, as it makes sure the lube doesn't go everywhere! It is small enough to be held in one hand, but also not too small that it will run out after a couple of uses! I think the Intimate Earth bottles are some of the best on the market!
Stain Test
This lube is very wet when it originally interacted with fabric - it spread a lot when on bed sheets! Initially it left a dark, wet stain on the bed sheets, but after washing out it didn't leave a stain or any discolouration.
Special feature
This lube has a special warming feature that heats up when friction occurs. It also has a slight cinnamon smell to it, as well as tasting quite sweet!
