KinkLab The Flex Capacitor Review

My Verdict
The Flex Capacitor is one feisty little attachment! It's a lot more powerful than the glass electrodes that came with the KinkLab Neon Wand and even on the lowest setting, it packs a serious punch! It's a very intense zapping sensation, which definitely put the fear in me!

About The KinkLab The Flex Capacitor
The Flex Capacitor is a silicone attachment for the KinkLab Neon Wand. It's shaped like a pincer and shoots visible sparks of electro-stimulation from either tip to whichever body part is in between! It's designed with nipples, clits and smaller body parts in mind, that can nestle between the silicone tips for a shockingly good time!

Personal Experience

“Great Scott!”
I’d already owned the KinkLab Neon Wand for some time, and although the glass electrodes gave off a considerable prickle of electro-stimulation, I never thought it was super powerful even full blast. I had read that the silicone attachment was meant to be more powerful but I think I still went into it with a false sense of security. Let me tell you, I was SHOCKED — literally and metaphorically by the Flex Capacitor. Boy am I glad I tested it out on some other body parts first. First up was my arm, I had it on the lowest setting and was prepared to not feel much, but quite the opposite happened! As the sparks flew between the electrode and my arm, I felt a sharp shock and let out a little yelp of surprise. It turns out Flex Capacitors bite is worse than it’s bark! I then let my partner give me a playful zap on the butt cheek and was once again surprised by the power, although I enjoyed it more as I knew what to expect. We then tried to take a photo of me zapping my finger to show you the amazing purple streaks of electricity that fly between the attachment and the receiving skin. While I don’t mind going to extreme lengths for my reviews, I did have to give up on getting the perfect shot at some point because my poor little finger couldn’t take any more. I was now a whole lot more nervous about testing it on other, more sensitive areas of my body! It took me longer than I would like to admit to muster up the courage to use the Flex Capacitor on more sensitive body parts.Design

The design is pretty basic but serves it's function well! I'm definitely not focusing on how it looks when I'm being zapped anyway! The pincer shaped tip is perfect for nipple or clitoral stimulation. Unlike the glass electrodes, you don't get the intimidating purple glow, which is a bit of a shame but you do get a whole lot more power. On the plus side, it looks fantastic when the spark jumps from each tip to whatever is in between it!
Ease of Use

You don't need to be able to build a time machine to use the Flex Capacitor. The attachment just slides into the Neon Wand handle and you are good to go! You control the intensity using the twist dial on the bottom of the handle and highly recommend starting out on the lowest setting. It's also a good idea to test out the power on a less sensitive area of the body, like the arm or thigh to get a feel for it.
Quality

The Flex Capacitor feels very well made, and I like that the tips are flexible. That being said, I do recommend being gentle with so you don't damage the internal electrics.
Price

I think the price of the Flex Capacitor by itself is very reasonable. However, you also have to factor in that it's just an attachment and cannot be used by itself. You need to have, or be willing to buy, the KinkLab Neon Wand to be able to use it.
Performance

Woah! This thing definitely performs! Maybe a little too well! It's definitely a big step up from the glass electrodes in terms of power. The shocks feel much more intense, even on the lowest settings. It's almost too strong for my liking and I thought I could take quite a lot. This is definitely suited to those who enjoy a decent amount of pain in their play.
Packaging

The Flex Capacitor comes in a tastefully designed box with a clear window to the toy on the front and some information about the toy on the back and sides. The toy is protected from bumps in a small plastic tray and the only other thing in the box is a small, very basic, instruction book. It's a shame there's no storage case as it's a little impractical to keep in the box and I don't want to risk damaging in by storing it in a soft bag.
Materials and care
The Flex Capacitor is made of silicone making it safe for use in intimate areas. It is not waterproof so it should be cleaned with a damp cloth and fragrance-free soap. It's disappointing there's no storage solution with the toy and it doesn't fit in the box with the KinkLab Neon Wand either so I've had to opt for keeping it in the original box, which takes up quite a lot of storage space.
