Design

The LELO Soraya vibrating anal beads definitely add a touch of luxury to anal play, which I absolutely love! Often anal beads tend to be basic black and not particularly exciting. However, the Soraya Beads have a more sensual design to them, from the buttery smooth lavender silicone to the classic LELO Insignia range gold accent on the handle. And if the lavender colour isn't for you, it's also available in black! I also like the loop handle base as it makes it easy to manoeuvre the beads yourself or have a partner do it. The only small thing I would change about the design, is making the section between the largest bead and the handle slimmer, as I would prefer to feel less stretched out after inserting the last bead. I actually find it more comfortable to leave the last bead out and let it rest against and stimulate the outside of my anus for this reason.

Ease of Use

Overall, I would say the beads are pretty easy to use. There are three buttons to control the beads: an on/off button that also controls the eight different vibration patterns, an increase power button (+), and a decrease power button (-). You can also lock/unlock the beads by holding down the + and - buttons, making them travel-friendly! The only downside is it's impossible to see the buttons while using the Soraya beads so you really have to focus and remember which button is where. I like that the buttons light up and tell flash when the battery is running low, so you don't get caught short mid session! They are also useful for showing when the toy is fully charged — they flashing light with become steady when it's finished.

Quality

There's not a lot I can fault in terms of the quality of the LELO Soraya beads. They feel very sturdy and well-made and they don't get hot during use. They actually turn off automatically after 20 minutes to prevent them from overheating. Some of the settings are a little loud and I would love if the vibrations were a bit more rumbly but I appreciate that's tough to accomplish with such small motors. The beads come with a 2-year warranty, under which LELO will replace your product in the case of "defects due to faulty workmanship or materials that affect the product's function." The Soraya Beads also have a 10 year guarantee, so the product becomes faulty outside of the 2-year warranty, LELO will give you a 50% discount on purchasing a new device from LELO.com

Price

I would say the price is one of the only drawbacks of the LELO Soraya Beads, but I can see it from both perspectives. On the one hand, these aren't your usual anal beads, each bead has it's one vibrating motor, making that four in total. On the other hand, this is a lot to pay for a sex toy. I would say given the high price, this is going to be a toy for those who really love anal stimulation and are ready to invest in a luxury product. I did like that you get a black LELO storage back and free lube sample though! You also get a small black card with instructions on how to register your Soraya Beads for the 2 year warranty.

Performance

I would say the LELO Soraya beads perform very well. They vibrations are strong, and you can definitely feel the distinct vibration in each bead. I wouldn't go as far as saying it mimics thrusting, but the wave of stimulation does feel pretty good and they are much more effective than anal beads that only have a motor in the base, by a long way! The battery life lasts well and with a battery life of up to 2 hours I'm happy I can get a fair few uses out them between charges.

Packaging

LELO definitely have their packaging game down! There sleek black and gold packaging always feels luxurious and adds a little excitement to the unboxing. The box frames the Soraya Beads really beautifully and is nice and sturdy. The back and sides of the box also have more information about the different features of the beads.

Materials and care

The LELO Soraya Beads are covered in silicone and totally waterproof, which makes them nice and easy to clean with some warm water and fragrance free soap or a sex toy cleanser. Always make sure to carefully clean between each bead and where the gold accent meets the silicone, as this can get a bit messy with lube. The Soraya beads a compatible with water-based lubricant only and other products can damage the silicone.
