My Verdict
If you are looking for a small, more gentle, cute vibe with pin-point ability and vibration patterns, the Maia Finn could be for you. I myself prefer rumbly, broad and stronger stimulation, but Finn's fun design and small size are the the highlights of the vibe for me. About The Maia Finn
A cute little vibrator in the shape of a dolphin named Finn. The vibe has 3 strength levels and 7 pattern levels, for a total of 10 vibration functions. The body of the dolphin is where the vibrator motor originates and vibes—this causes the tail of the toy to gently vibrate. Finn brings a splash of whimsy into play, and the vibe is fully submersible for play in the water. Finn charges through a port in its body, where you insert the power cord to charge. The vibe is 3 1/2 inches from head to tail and can easily be brought on travel adventures.

My Experience With the Maia Finn
Overall, I found the experience with Finn fun in foreplay and to look at, but I only used the vibe during this initial play. Meeting Finn for the first time brought a smile to my face, and my partner and I enjoyed the vibe’s personality. On the box of the packaging Finn comes in, the descriptions reads the vibe has 10 functions. I thought this meant the vibe has 10 levels of strength but instead most of the functions are patterns. So, I wasn’t surprised the vibe wasn’t strong enough for me, as I typically like vibrators that start low and go to medium to high vibration level and without any patterns offered. However, I found I like the body of Finn on its highest level for broader, teasing vibrations in foreplay. I found the vibration of the tail more of a tickle than a vibration; The tail of the dolphin barely vibrates and for me the vibration was too light to notice. When I inserted the vibe, the vibrations were also low feeling-stimulation. I noticed the vibe works best when I hold Finn myself, because my partner had a difficult time manipulating the vibe due to its small size. Once I had enough of Finn’s teasing vibrations and whimsical mood, I moved onto another vibrator that had my preferred strength and rumbly vibes.
Design
The design is what first drew me to this vibe and the design is what I continue to like most about this toy. The Finn has two eyes with long eyelashes, a mildly cushy and pointed nose, and a flexible, cushy tail. I do love how Finn brings whimsy and personality into my otherwise mostly bland-looking vibe collection. The vibration top speed is fairly mild throughout the body and tail, but the nose of the dolphin does provide more powerful buzzy, pin-point stimulation. Once the vibration reaches the tail, the vibes die off. Finn can be worn vaginally, although the button to increase strength or change patterns is not reachable once inserted.
Was the Maia Finn easy to use?
Finn has one button: Press the power button for 3 seconds to turn on, press and release the power button to cycle through the functions, and press and hold the power button for 3 seconds to turn off. The button does require moderate amount of finger strength to turn on. I was confused turning on the item at first, because you have to press the power button and then press the button again to have the vibration start. Finn is easy to turn on and off as an external vibe but not so once you are wearing it internally.
Quality Assessment
Depending on what you are looking for, I would describe Finn as a quality vibe. I'd describe the overall power of the toy as low and buzzy. The vibe is one of the quieter vibrating toys I have tested, and it is one of the cutest vibes I've ever seen. Finn is mostly made of medical grade silicone, a high grade of silicone that has been tested for safety. I noticed there is a very small groove between the silicone and the plastic of the body, where very small material can gather and would require extra diligence to keep clean.
Affordability Check: The Price of Maia Finn
I feel the price is reasonable for the quality of Finn. For a lower cost vibrator, you receive the toy, the charging cable, a cloth storage bag, and a warranty card for a one year warranty. The box Finn comes in is a sturdy, beautiful container the toy can be stored in too.
How does the Maia Finn Perform
I found Finn only met several of my expectations. I was expecting the vibe to be stronger and for the tail to provide more stimulation. The charging was super fast and it actually lasted longer than advertised, at 1 hour and 30 minutes. The vibe grew warm with use but never hot. I enjoyed the vibe's submersible quality, but I wonder about the longevity of the product given the grooves between the body's silicone and plastic. The main expectation Finn met was its design: The vibe is as cute and mini in on-line pictures as it is in person!
Unwrapping the Maia Finn: A Look at the Packaging
I loved the packaging of Finn. The metallic silver "splash" design around the viewing window of the vibe is definitely eye catching and the packaging is subtle enough where the design doesn't distract from the vibrator itself. The box has a small fabric loop on the top of the box, an added detail that makes the packaging ideal for gift giving.
Evaluating the Maia Finn: Materials and Care
I appreciate the fact it's made of body safe materials, and although generally easy to clean, there are minor challenges with Finn in keeping the vibe clean. The main body of the Finn is soft, medical grade silicone, and the head of the vibe is made of ABS plastic. The toy is submersible and can be cleaned with mild soap or an adult toy cleaner, and a draw-string, fabric bag is provided to store Finn. To note, for the groove in-between the ABS plastic and silicone, a toothbrush or q-tip is needed to clean the area.
