5 Best Penis Head Pumps
Penis head pumps are an interesting type of toy — there aren’t a ton out there (trust me, we’ve looked), and those that you do find don’t tend to be of the highest quality. We’ve collected 3 reviews of those we were able to test out, but the truth is that they just didn’t always hit the mark. That’s why I’ve also included a couple of our testers’ favorite regular penis pumps, too!

Why I Chose It
While our search for penis head pumps did not return a bevy of results, we did see this one pop up a few times, so we knew we had to review it. Our tester Caleb gave it a shot, and had a mixed experience. He praised the overall quality and looks of the toy, writing that it “feels solid in the hand with no flexing or unwanted movement” and it “looks good aesthetically… it is a pretty minimalistic design which I can appreciate“. However, he did note that there are some hard to reach areas that make cleaning more difficult, so you’ll definitely have to get in there with a clean cloth and wipe it down thoroughly.
Once he turned it on, he also found that “the suction function is quite powerful and that alone can be fun“. However, the vibrations fell short of expectations, since they made the whole unit vibrate and had mostly dissipated before he got to feel them. After experimenting with the different automated modes, he found that “manually releasing the suction at the desired level provided better results“, which is very easy thanks to the pump’s quick release valve button. So, if you’re looking for strong suction on your tip to increase sensitivity and aren’t really bothered about extra vibrations, the Get Hard Pump set could still be a worthwhile buy! Plus, Caleb found that the “sound is very minimal“, which is rare in the world of penis pumps and gives it a huge advantage over other options.

Why I Chose It
Affordability is a huge factor in sex toy purchases, I know, and that’s why I had to include the Suck N Stroke penis head pump from Fetish Fantasy. It’s a fraction of the price of other head pumps, and provided a surprisingly similar experience to the others we’ve tested! Our tester A.J. gave us some pros and cons that he found after trying it out.
The Suck N Stroke is a very simple device, with a clear plastic chamber, a rubber tube to create a seal, and then a tube with a hand pump on the end. A.J. had a bit of trouble putting it together in the beginning, but found that “after getting over the learning curve, assembly got easier and use was a breeze“. He then went on to say that “if the seal kept tight the sensations were excellent and overall great for edging“, though he did wish that the hand pump could provide more pressure control.
The trouble, however, came soon after. The edges of the plastic chamber were quite sharp, and although A.J.’s skin was protected by the rubber seal, the edges started to rip the rubber after a short while, leaving the pump unusable since it couldn’t maintain a vacuum. For this reason, I wouldn’t recommend this product to those looking for a long-lasting, high-quality pump. However, if you’ve never tried pumping before and just want to see if the feeling is something you enjoy, you could try out this budget-friendly kit before moving onto something more powerful and reliable.
With Extra Stimulation PDX Elite Tip Teazer

- Stimulating nubs at the end of the pump to tickle your tip.
- Wireless, battery-powered suction.

- ✅ Versatile suction and vibration modes
- ✅ Simple to use
Cons
- ❌ Poor quality
- ❌ Not rechargeable
- ❌ Very loud
Why I Chose It
The PDX Elite Tip Teazer just didn’t click so well with our tester Peter. You might notice that it’s very similar in design to the Get Hard Pump Set from CalExotics, but seemed to function less well. So, why have I included this option in our round-up of the best penis head pumps? The answer is: in order to show you that not every toy can be a winner, especially when it comes to penis head pumps.
Peter described how “it feels very cheap and is made from a basic plastic, with, what I can only say was glue marks where the toy had been stuck together“. While this didn’t affect the functionality of the Tip Teazer, it still made the toy much less appealing to use. However, once he tried it out Peter also found himself “greeted with the sound of a hammer drill going off“. Not exactly what you want from a self-pleasure session!
As he tried to use it, the suction was powerful, which is a plus, but he couldn’t get comfortable with the small pump. This is definitely something to keep in mind with penis head pumps — even if you’ve tried a regular penis pump before, the smaller chamber of a penis head pump can take some getting used to, and may not have the same roomy fit that you enjoy.

Why I Chose It
After showing you all of these pumps that fell short of expectations, I have to provide with some high-quality, actually-good alternatives! When it comes to penis pumps, none have surpassed the Bathmate HydroXtreme 7 in Bedbible’s rankings.
Our tester Kevin has tried a few different Bathmate pumps, but thought this one was a real upgrade. He really put it through its paces: “Like the other models, I tried this without any water initially. Unsurprisingly, having a hand pump is a huge advantage, and the pump was easily able to stay in place. This setup still isn’t optimal, but it will definitely work so long as you have a bit of lube on hand… Adding water really made the suction power come out. Actually, this was the first pump where I didn’t pump it all the way up!“. Since you can use the HydroXtreme with and without water, and with or without the hand pump, it’s one of the most versatile pumps out there. I think it’s perfect for those who like to experiment with their set-up and try out new way to play.
Of course, all the extras also mean that it’s a little more complex than your average pump. However, it’s still beginner-friendly with a small amount of practice, as Kevin mentions: “This pump is a tiny bit more complicated than the other models… . Still, I was able to pick it up fairly quickly once I’d done it a few times“. Plus, the fact that you can adjust it in very small increments makes it approachable for all experience levels, increasing both size and sensitivity all over the penis.

- ❌ The opening is a bit too big
- ❌ Doesn't really work as a true penis pump

Why I Chose It
If you’re looking for a penis head pump to get the benefits of pumping while also stimulating your tip, then a 2-in-1 model like this could be what you’re after. Our tester Brett gave it a whirl and was “blown away by the suction it created“! As a newbie to penis pumps, he was surprised at the power of the Sohimi Bole, but after taking a short while to get used to it, he told us that “I did enjoy the suction on my penis. It made my erection feel much firmer and full“. However, that’s only half the story.
When he paired the pumping action with the masturbation sleeve inside, “it created a very enjoyable feeling but nothing overwhelming“. While the texture wasn’t as prominent as Fleshlights he had tried in the past, the addition of extra suction made the sensations more intense. That’s why I recommend it for those who are looking for more penis head stimulation than what is offered from a typical stroker.
What took things to the next level for Brett is that, since the Bole is fully waterproof, Sohimi recommend filling the chamber with warm or cold water to explore new sensations. After trying out both, he found that “the warm water is more enjoyable as it makes the toy feel more lifelike“. This whole feature is very unusual for automatic penis pumps, but adds a lot of versatility in how you can use it!

Penis Head Vibrators for Your Sensitive Tip
Some penis heads are definitely more sensitive than others, but luckily there are toys designed to properly take care of those sensitive tips! Let’s take a look at a few of the options…
Satisfyer Men Vibration
Our tester, John, was really impressed with the quality and overall performance of this penis head vibe, saying: “I own other more expensive masturbators, some heavier, some smaller, some more sophisticated, but this one is so simple in its design and feels just right for helping me get the job done”. The vibrations are powerful and rumbly, which are exactly what’s needed to deeply stimulate the ultra-sensitive glans and frenulum.
Arcwave Ion
The Arcwave Ion doesn’t use vibrations to stimulate the penis head — instead, it uses sonic waves, similar to a clitoral suction stimulator. While it took our tester Damian a little while to find his groove with the Ion, as soon as he got the sweet spot, he “quickly became infatuated and obsessed with the Arcwave”. He described the stimulation as “incredibly strong” and said that he was able to achieve “mind-blowing full-body orgasms.”
Lovense Gush 2
The Gush 2 from Lovense functions more like an old-fashioned stroker than the two toys above. The silicone wings envelop your penis, sending powerful vibes across your shaft as you stroke. However, you can still use it more like a penis head vibrator, using the included bands to hold it tight to your glans. Damian also tested out this toy, and found that it far surpassed his experience with the Arcwave Ion! He called it “exceptional, bringing me to SEVERAL hands free orgasms every single time” in a way that he’d never been able to before.
