My Verdict
I love the We-Vibe Tango X, and I'm positive that many, many other people will love it too. Not only does it feel really, really great, but it's so simple and unintimidating that I think it makes a perfect first vibrator, or simply a fantastic companion for someone who doesn't want to fuss around with settings or apps. Of course, it isn't designed for internal use, but it's easily paired with another toy like a dildo, butt plug or g-spot vibrator for amazing blended orgasms. My truly honest opinion is that the Tango X is one of the top vibrators on the market right now, which may surprise some bullet vibrator naysayers, but it's about time we stopped listening to them anyway.

Testing the We-Vibe Tango X
I’m not one to be easily impressed by a sex toy. I’ve tried out quite a few, and even had pretty high hopes for some, but I always find myself wishing there was more of this, or less of that. But that was before I met the We-Vibe Tango X. I make no secret of my love for bullet vibrators in general, but this one took what I thought I knew and knocked it out of the park.
First Impressions
As soon as I got it out of the (very pretty) box, I pressed the ‘on’ button, just out of curiosity. However, I was not prepared for just how rumbly the vibrations would be. Even at the lowest setting, it rumbled and wriggled around in my hand and my eyes lit up. This was the bullet vibrator I had been looking for my whole life. It immediately took up residence in my nightstand, and was the first thing I reached for, no matter the situation. On my own, I was able to play around with its speed settings and lipstick-shaped tip, alternating between firm, pinpoint stimulation and gentler, broader stimulation once I was close to climax. The rumbles were incredible yet never overwhelming, and I could go for much longer than I was used to with my old, faithful yet buzzy bullet.A Tango for Two
During partner sex, I would reach for the Tango X and crank it up high towards the end of the act, which made for some pretty explosive endings. I’m not a huge fan of using big, bulky toys during sex – it just feels a little awkward. Thankfully, this vibrator so compact and light, making it super easy to use in all kinds of positions whilst still harnessing the kind of power you’d expect from a much larger wand vibrator. At this point, my boyfriend is very much aware of how much I love the Tango X. In fact, this is a screenshot of a real message I sent to him whilst writing this review (as you might have guessed by now, I gave up trying to tone down my love for this amazing bullet vibrator. What I like/dislike about the design
Excuse me while I gush about everything right with the We-Vibe Tango X's design. The lipstick-style tip works miracles! It allows for incredibly precise stimulation on the point, while the flat side of the tip is great for broader massaging. I also didn't think that I'd be such a fan of the hard ABS plastic, but I'm a convert. It feels so smooth, never drags on the skin (even when you're not using lube), and allows you to get really firm with your stimulation, though it does light strokes just as well. Perhaps the most obvious upgrade from the original We-Vibe Tango is the silicone handle – it's easy to grip and feels secure in my hand, and the slight bulbed shape makes for a more natural grip, too.
How user friendly is the We-Vibe Tango X?
I'm a huge bullet vibrator evangelist (you only have to read my blog post to see). They're accessible, versatile and unobtrusive, and the We-Vibe Tango X is a shining example of the genre. It has three buttons: plus and minus (which are raised), and a middle button to cycle through the vibration patterns, which I rarely touched (no shade, I'm just not patterns person). Press the + to turn it on, and then keep pressing or hold it to increase the speed. Do the same to the - to decrease it, or keep holding it to turn it off. It's extremely simple. Holding the Tango X is easy, and it can be used wherever you feel the craving for vibrations.
The We-Vibe Tango X: Superior Quality or Just Hype?
The Tango X retains We-Vibe's signature of quality materials and manufacturing. There's no rattling of electrical parts inside and no gaps where the materials meet. It's all 100% body safe, with no porous materials, and made to last.
Evaluating the Pricing of the We-Vibe Tango X
While the price of the We-Vibe Tango X may be enough to scare away from sex toy newbies, I would say that it's very reasonably-priced for what you get. I've seen a lot of vibrators in my time, and like to think that I have a pretty good eye for sex toys that can live up to their price tag. While you may well find a bullet vibe out there for cheaper, the sheer power and rumbles that the Tango X can generate are out of this world, and well worth a small investment. Plus, it comes packaged with a satin-y storage bag and a sachet of high-quality, water-based lube from Pjur.
Does it Deliver on Pleasure?
The We-Vibe Tango X performs. The super rumbly vibrations were a revolution for me who's been used to my old standard, buzzy bullet for many years, and felt so, so good. I was able to really put some pressure on without feeling overwhelmed, and then backing off a little and just enjoying some gentle rumbles for a while to really prolong the experience, all without getting numb. And it's so quiet, even on the highest settings! The battery is also impressive – two hours (at least) for such strong vibrations from such a small toy is uncommon, and very welcome. It also has a handy low battery alert, though it's not always noticeable when you're in the middle of a session.
My unboxing experience
We-Vibe's packaging is always a nice treat to open. It's glossy, sturdy and colorful, which really makes you feel like you're opening high quality product. It features a lifesize glossy Tango X on the front, and an illustration on the back of how it's meant to be used. Pretty, but perhaps not the most discreet. If you're concerned about people seeing what kinds of things you're stashing in your nightstand, I would recommend throwing it away and just storing your bullet in the accompanying drawstring bag, though it does seem like a shame.
Reviewing the Material Choices and Care Guidelines
The We-Vibe Tango X is made from silicone and ABS plastic, both high-quality, non-porous, body-safe materials. The silicone feels soft yet grippy, while the hard plastic is smooth and rounded. It's completely waterproof, which is great for both using it in the shower/bath as well as easy cleaning. As they say in the quickstart guide included in the box, the Tango X can be cleaned using either mild soap and water or purpose-made toy cleaner. There's also no noticeable gap where the silicone and plastic meet, so there's no need to try and get a nail in there to clean out any nasty stuff.

The We-Vibe Tango X’s sheer rumbly power is its true special feature. These kinds of vibrations are simply not found in your everyday, run-of-the-mill bullet vibrator – they’re more like what you would expect in a big, and much more expensive sex toy like a wand massager or a premium rabbit vibrator. The fact that We-Vibe managed to produce a tiny, lightweight bullet vibe that’s capable of churning out so much intensity is impressive.
