So I just followed my instincts and dived on in to take a look at the site, clicking on links, scrolling up and down, and finding out what erotic hidden treasures it had to offer!

This is how I started to form my initial opinions of the site. So without further ado, let’s get into POVR, and all it has to offer!

Initial Impressions

POVR very much follows the same outline that many other porn websites do, and for good reason – because it works!

I love that it makes choosing a VR porn video for you super easy right from the very start.

You do of course have the option of searching, using the search bar up at the top, which proudly boasts ‘search 18,268 videos‘! But if you just want to see PORV’s recommendations, then they are all there on the home page.

When you click on the videos you do have access to a trailer, or a short, ~2mins long clip, although this is not viewable in VR, therefore you do not get the full experience. For that particular pleasure you’ll need to be subscribed, which we’ll come onto later!

Along the top of the screen (or in the side menu on mobile) there are various links that you can click to help you further refine your porn search. These links are VR Porn, Categories, Pornstars, Studios, and Go Premium.

Again, when it comes to ease of use, this puts everything right there at your fingertips!

My overall impression of POVR is that it is pretty basic and standard…but that is all that it needs to be! What matters is the content that you have available to you, and I have to admit, the options are amazing.

How I Tested It

The only way to test virtual reality porn websites like this is to just buy a subscription and have a go. It really is as simple as that. So that’s what I did.

I cracked out my Gear VR Oculus headset, prepared my PayPal account, and found a subscription tier that would give me access to everything that I needed, and I was away!

There’s nothing overly complicated or tricky about it – I wanted to experience POVR in the exact same way that any normal person would in order to provide you with the best and most in depth review possible.

The Overall Design of the Site

Okay, now it’s time for me to give you a breakdown of what the site does and doesn’t include!

The homepage features a large banner displaying the latest videos and offers, which generally just try to tempt you in to buying a subscription. Which makes total sense, considering that’s how they make their money!

Thankfully, unlike other VR porn websites, this banner doesn’t fill 90% of the screen, instead taking up only half of the screen and allowing you to see some of the videos on offer in the top rated VR porn section.

As you scroll down the page, you get the many different featured videos that I talked about before. It’s great to see them all together in one place, and makes for very easy selection.

I like that you get a little preview if you hover over the video, giving you a flavor of the content in there.

I do like the top rated VR categories section, as not only does it indicate to you what is popular and trending at the moment, but it also offers you up some options that you might not have gone for previously.

Of course, throughout the home page are plenty of buttons tempting you to come purchase a subscription and activate the full video collection – again, completely understandable considering the business model of a website like this!

I’d just like to draw attention to the studios section, as this is something that a lot of people will be looking for!

There is a dedicated area on the site that talks about the many different studios featured on there, containing all kinds of sexy and niche content.

Some people actively seek out certain studios as they love the kind of videos they make, and this section allows you to really delve into the content creators out there!

One of the things that a lot of porn websites have is quite a wordy section at the bottom, containing many paragraphs explaining the company and what they do, and generally promoting the site and bigging it up.

This is no different with POVR, but instead of having to scroll past it, there is a ‘read more’ tab which allows you to expand the section if you really need to.

This is a nice touch that makes the home page feel cleaner while not losing any of the info.

Finally, as is standard with pretty much all websites – pornographic or not – there are the usual important links at the bottom.

Here you can find a navigation section, alongside a handy help section, and information on how to work with them. Finally, it wraps up with the usual legal mumbo jumbo.

So as you can see, POVR is pretty standard in terms of what you would expect from a website like this. This is not necessarily a bad thing, though, as you almost instinctively know how to use it and what to do.

And when you’re desperate to get down to watching porn, you don’t want to be spending time figuring out exactly how the site works!

Company Information

While the team that runs POVR are all based online and work remotely, the website does have an umbrella company that is in charge.

POVR is run by a company called Foshan Ltd. based in Mahe in the Seychelles. They are easily contactable via the website, meaning that you’re never going to be left with no one to turn to, should you need any help or assistance.

This is one of those things that reassures you and makes you feel like the website is that little bit more legitimate!

Right, now it’s time to look at the subscription tiers that you have available to you, and I’m pleased to announce that PORV really do keep things nice and simple!

You have the option of a yearly package, a monthly package, or a package that will last you a lifetime. There are no hidden extra fees, and no complicated add-ons or other bits and pieces, it just keeps things simple.

And when it comes to porn websites, simplicity is key!

No one tier offers more or less than any of the others, and you have the same level of access to everything, no matter which subscription tier you go for.

The only difference is the length of time that you have access to everything POVR has to offer!

Personally, I went for the monthly tier, for the sake of this review, which leads me nicely on to the next section…

Payment Options

It’s always good to be able to have plenty of different payment options to choose from!

When purchasing your subscription it lays out those options for you.

You can pay via Visa, Mastercard, Diners Club, JCB, or Maestro. You also have the option of paying via PayPal if that is preferable (which is was, for me!)

If you prefer using cryptocurrency, you can also pay with BitCoin, which can also be selected when making your subscription purchase.

All purchases are made through Epoch, Safe Billing, or SegPay, meaning that your money is secure and can easily be traced, stopped, or refunded if needs be. Again, this is a brilliant indication of POVR’s legitimacy.

Using POVR as a Paying Subscriber

Now that I was subscribed, I could really start to get in there and figure out what extra goodies I got as a paying subscriber.

The first thing that was different was that POVR prompted me to head to my settings and choose the VR device that I would be watching the videos with.

This very important task was incredibly quick and simple to do, as all I had to do was select which headset I would be using. As you can see there are plenty of headsets to choose from.

Once that was selected I headed back to the homepage, and in all honesty, even though I was subscribed and signed up, I didn’t notice anything different about it.

In all fairness, I love that POVR just displays all of its content right there upfront, but it feels like as a paying subscriber you don’t have access to anything special or unusual.

This is not true, of course! The fact is that I now had access to the absolute ocean of full porn videos, meaning that I wasn’t limited to just the trailers or a 2 min clip.

I was pleasantly surprised by the simple layout of the videos themselves.

Underneath the main video was a section that contained a download link, as well as the option to save it to your list of personal favorite porn videos.

Then there is a user rating system that allows other users of POVR to give the video a thumbs up or a thumbs down. I love this kind of community feedback as it feels very genuine and authentic.

Going down you have a section that lets you know which studio the video is from, as well as who the featured pornstar is. Very useful info if you want to delve a little further into the work of either the studio or the actress.

And then finally the video tags will always include the video quality as well as how many frames per second (FPS) it plays in.

As always, you have the option of either watching it as a full screen video, or you can select the VR option in the bottom right hand corner of the video.

This will split the screen in two and provide two slightly offset videos that, when combined in a VR headset, looks incredibly realistic and 3D.

If live cam girls are your thing, then you have the option of checking out POVR Live. This allows you to interact with cam models that are more than happy to meet your needs.

Unlike other live cam models that work on a token system, POVR Live works by you giving gold. Not literal gold, though, obviously.

A one time activation fee of $3.99 is required to give gold, and this amount will be credited back to you once you use it. As with the subscriptions, payment is processed through Epoch, meaning it is safe and secure.

Once you do this it gives you access to uncensored videos, and 1 on 1 cam time, meaning that you really can have a unique experience that is tailored to meet your needs.

Video Quality

The quality of the videos you watch really is important. It can totally make or break how you experience your virtual reality video, if it just doesn’t look right.

But I have to admit that the quality of all of the videos on POVR is amazing.

I did a lot of looking around and exploring over the course of writing this review, and I never saw a video with a quality lower than 4K. The average sat at around 6K, though, meaning that you really do get a high-definition, high-fidelity product.

You can instantly find out the video quality by looking at the bottom right-hand corner of the thumbnails. There it will tell you the what resolution your video is presented in (ie 4K, 5K, 6K etc).

I did find it quite strange that you couldn’t alter the video’s quality while you watched it. On some sites, you can flick between various qualities, but on POVR the quality is simply set and cannot be changed.

This is not necessarily a bad thing, it’s just something that I noticed and found interesting. It will in no way affect your viewing experience!

So Is POVR REALLY a Legit Website?

As far as I’m concerned, POVR is a virtual reality porn website that has nothing but green flags!

I am in no doubt that this is a legitimate VR porn website because of the lengths that they go to in order to prove to their paying customers that everything is above board and on the level.

Speaking of paying, the payment systems are secure and tested, and you’ll have no issues purchasing or even canceling your subscriptions if you so desire.

I also discovered that POVR ranks very highly in the Alexa rankings, as well as being SSL encrypted, meaning that any data on there is secure and safe.

The fact that so many major studios are happy to work with POVR is also another excellent sign, and one that points to the site being legitimate. I’m sure no studio would want to tar its reputation by being associated with an illegitimate website that tries to scam people!

No, POVR doesn’t have the various accolades that other virtual reality porn websites do, nor has it being featured in all kinds of prestigious publications, but at the end of the day, that doesn’t really matter.

Or at least it doesn’t matter to me!

What matters is that they produce and put out high quality content in a fun and unique medium that really allows users to experienced their porn in a modern and exciting way.

So my overall conclusion is that yes, POVR is an extremely legitimate, safe, fun, and secure site containing tens of thousands of videos.
