My Verdict
Romp has created an entire collection of sex toys that are high quality and affordable! And the Romp Beat Vibrator ranks right up there with the rest of the Romp selection of toys. Sized to be either a mini vibrator or very large bullet, the Romp Beat is a fantastic all-around vibrator for all sorts of fun with bodies. It's made from beautifully textured, silky silicone that adds interest and sensation to external and internal play. Plus, it's so easy to access the rumbly-buzzy 10 settings with the big, single button on the bottom of the handle. The Romp Beat is lightweight, comfortable to hold and is rechargeable. And I have to mention the texture again, as it makes it a good-looking vibrator that just begs for you to touch it! Last, but certainly not least, the Romp Beat is affordable pleasure at a price that most everyone can swing. I was so excited to have received the Romp Beat Vibrator to review, as I love the whole affordability thing Romp has going on, And after reviewing the Romp Switch, I knew the Beat would be a quality toy. Now, the Romp Beat packaging is a basic, lightweight, colorful box with a plastic tray inside. It includes quickie instructions, a safety manual, fun stickers and a pin-type, USB charger (making it a better waterproof toy than other charger types). Then, I pulled the Romp Beat Vibrator out of the box and was immediately in awe!Pregaming with the Romp Beat
As expected, the Romp Beat was made from top-notch silicone that’s oh-so-soft and silky. Better yet, the Beat features thick ribbing and raised diamond shapes all over it, giving it yummy texture that’s still super easy to clean. Next, I found the single button that operates the Beat at the bottom of the vibrator and clicked it. What?! I could barely hear it! So, quietness? Check! Then I clicked through all of the 10 speeds and settings and was wowed at how the Romp Beat combines both low, rumbly vibrations and high-frequency buzzing vibrations too. Therefore it will appeal to far more people than vibrators that do either or.Is It a Mini Vibrator or a Large Bullet?
Here’s the thing, in looking up links where you can buy the Romp Beat, I found that from site to site, the description varies. Some describe the Beat as a large bullet or a mini vibrator. So, which is it? The Beat is most definitely a mini vibrator! As I checked our trusted affiliates for shopping links, I noticed a lot of pretty crappy reviews of the Romp Beat. But all of them had something interesting in common – they complained that it broke in some way. While that’s sad and frustrating, the thing is, Romp gives all of their toys a 2-year warranty. Therefore, if something happens to your Romp brand toy, you get in touch, and your toy is replaced at no charge to you. Now, why these people didn’t contact the company is beyond me! I mean, some brands barely have any warranty at all. So two years is a great warranty. The Romp Beat looks and feels like a luxury sex toy, but comes with an affordable price tag. The silicone is so soft, and even the bottom (where the operational button is) is silicone, instead of plastic, like most brands. The texture looks beautiful, though subtle, and feels incredible against the body. The button on the bottom of the Beat is large, clicks easily and makes it's comfortable to hold and operate. So, for me, the Romp Beat is a winner! It's not too big, not too small, and the vibrations range from low and rumbly to high and buzzy, depending on what you like. So, that makes the Beat perfect for sharing.
Ease of Use
Using the Romp Beat is incredibly easy! It operates with a single, large button that covers the whole bottom of the vibrator. That makes it easy to find and easy to click. Plus, that is silicone too, so no worrying about it being too slippery when using lube, like plastic buttons. I found it comfortable to hold AND it's just the right size for those who prefer to ride or grind against the vibrator. The only reason I gave the Romp Beat a 98, is that a single button forces you to go through all 10 settings in order to get back to the beginning, lower speed.
Quality
The Romp Beat is great quality, in my opinion, and especially for the price! The Beat Vibrator is firm, flexible, made with silicone, and designed with ridges and bumps that add a nice texture. Therefore, it looks high quality and feels sturdy - so no worries if you happen to drop it. The motor, along with being strong, is wonderfully quiet and discreet. The Romp Beat also recharges with a pin-type USB cord, making it bathtub, shower or pool ready!
Price
The Romp Beat is priced around $30, depending on where you buy it. And for such a nice, powerful, silky-smooth vibrator that's extremely versatile, the Beat is well worth the price. Additionally, Romp offers a 2-year replacement warranty, in case anything goes wrong. Included with the Beat Vibrator, you get a quick-start instruction booklet, a safety manual, and a sheet of fun, adult stickers, as well as a pin-type, USB charging cord.
Performance
Performance-wise, the Romp Beat really surprised me! The motor is incredibly quiet, but the vibrations start low and rumbly - which spread all over your bits. And if you prefer buzzy, more topical vibration, the Beat has that too, at higher speeds. That is pretty unusual for a vibrator, as they're usually either one or the other. The battery lasted a while, but I was using lower-level, rumbling vibrations. It also charged pretty quickly. Overall, the Romp Beat Vibrator far surpassed my expectations, especially considering the low price and quality materials.
Packaging
The packaging of the Romp Beat Vibrator is nothing to write home about. It's thin cardboard with a plastic tray inside that holds the toy. The box is brightly colored, exciting, and features a photo of the vibrator. It also includes information on the Beat, so you don't need to open the box and search the manual. Best of all, there's nothing adult on the packaging, however, the bright colors would definitely attract a child's attention. So, it might be a good idea to purchase a storage bag or get this box tucked away asap.
Materials and care
The Romp Beat Vibrator is made from body-safe, silky and slightly flexible silicone. It's also waterproof, because of the pin-type USB charging port. So, when using the Beat, it's highly recommended you use a water-based lubricant in order to maintain the quality, silky finish. Then, when playtime is over, the Romp Beat is easy to clean with warm water and mild soap, a sex toy cleaner or wipe. Next, allow it to air dry or pat it dry before storing it back in the box or a sex toy storage case or bag (not included).
