Love at first sight!
At first sight, I was impressed with the Scarlet Couture Beat Me Please Whip’s design and color scheme. The woven pattern and red & black strips create a strong visual impression. It’s a gorgeous sight in the hand. As a domme, it’s extremely satisfying to use visually striking implements, especially since it helps set the mood and build excitement.Fits snug in my palm
The Scarlet Couture Beat Me Please Whip is also easy to use. With minimal effort, I can deliver powerful or gentle strikes. It is not difficult to aim the tails thanks to their manageable length. I appreciated the range – it was long enough to get both shoulders and butt without reaching too far. It also doesn’t tangle and splays beautifully against the skin. The vegan leather tails are soft and bring a nice scarlet flush to the skin. The handle feels slightly plush due to the quality leather used for the woven diamond-pattern. So, I could squeeze it for a while before my fingers started to get tired.Wrist strap: help or hinderance?
The wrist loop was honestly more of a nuisance than a help. It does add a sense of security that the flogger will not fly away at a wild swing. But more often than not, the leather strip just flopped around and hung over my fingers. I think the loop would be improved by something to secure it so that it’s size adjustable. I preferred to use it without the loop but it is helpful for storage if you hang your instruments.Solo or couple play?
I used the Scarlet Couture Beat Me Please Whip to flog and whip my play partner during a session on impact and sensation play. We enjoyed it a lot since it was easy to dance between pleasure and pain based on how it is used. The Scarlet Couture Beat Me Please Whip looks gorgeous and feels lovely to touch. The red and black scheme works well. I like how each strip of leather is red on one side and black on the other. There's also 30 of them so the force that can be delivered is variable and exciting.
Ease of Use
The Scarlet Couture Flogger is very easy to use. I don't foresee any issues with grip as it is a standard straight handle of decent length and the leather feels plush, but it could definitely be more ergonomic. The wrist loop is too large/floppy.
Quality
The Scarlet Couture flogger is great quality. It feels softer than cheaper floggers. It has also been reliable and has held up to multiple uses so far with no signs of fraying.
Price
This flogger is worth the cost. It is also about as or slightly less expensive than other similar style floggers.
Performance
This toy definitely met my expectations. The whip can deliver pain or pleasure at will, with a good range and great quality vegan leather. It also leaves behind pretty patterns on the skin.
Packaging
I liked the box it came in. It had a detailed product description which offered some guidance on what toy can be used for. I wish it had more examples or tips on how to use the product, especially if it is targeted as beginner friendly. The whip was in a plastic casing inside the box. Since it is leather, I'd prefer a cloth bag that could double for storage.
Materials and care
The materials are high quality and the handle has a solid weight. If it gets wet, blot it with a towel and let it air dry. It can be stored by hanging it by the strap so the strips fall straight. Or you can lie it flat in cool dry place in a cloth bag to keep off dust and let it breathe. Do not store in a plastic bag. It did not come with a storage bag or cleaning materials but it is easy to clean and store.
