Why I Chose It

I picked out the Liberator Fascinator Throw as the Test Winner because it’s simply the best full-sized sex blanket on the market! Our tester, Isabelle, absolutely loved it: “The velvety fabric feels super luxurious and soft against your skin, which helps you to forget that it’s a waterproof blanket once you are lying on it. Plus, there’s no horrible plastic crinkly sound as you might expect from a waterproof blanket.”

While Isabelle was very impressed with the throw’s absorbency, she did note that it pays off to have realistic expectations, since “if you are spilling a large amount of liquid onto it very quickly, you are likely to get some pooling, as the velvet fabric has a limit to what it can absorb.”

The only real downside for me is the price. If you tend to have to change sheets after every session and you really see yourself using this on the regular, it’s a good investment. If you would only be using a sex blanket once in a while, I would recommend a cheaper option.

The Lovehoney Luxury Waterproof Throw is my top affordable option for those who aren’t quite ready to splash out on a big investment like the Liberator Fascinator but still find themselves splashing out during sex!

Our tester, Jess, described herself as a “messy during sex type of girlie” in her review, so finding a good sex blanket was always on the agenda for her. As far as soaking up any liquids that were spilt on the throw during play time the Lovehoney Luxury Washable throw did a great job of keeping everything nice and dry underneath. Sure, it does take a bit longer to fully soak in compared to the Liberator products, but it gets the job done nonetheless.

The biggest con has the be the softness of the fabric itself: “comfort is really important to me during sex and I felt like I was on a tarp whenever I had to make any movements on the throw. […] if you like me are also wanting something cute and cuddly that you can lay on and snuggle in prior to the main event, then this is not the blanket for you.”

Still, for those who aren’t looking to spend too much and don’t find this to be a deal-breaker, it’s still a decent quality option.

Why I Chose It

Although the Liberator Fascinator Travel Throw is much smaller than the full-sized blanket, it still does a great job of protecting your sheets against smaller amounts of liquid and it has the benefit of being cheaper and easier to pack in your bag for a sexy get-away!

Our tester, Jesse, had a great experience with it despite its smaller size: “Yes yes yes to this throw. If you enjoy messy sex of any kind this is well worth the investment! Whatever you’re into, gushing, squirting, facials, bukake, anal, period sex and more, this throw will ensure your mess is nice and contained with no spillage! Great to have for any holiday or overnight stays so there’s no need to worry about leaving behind stains on those bed sheets.”

Similarly, to the full-sized version, the only major con I want to point out is the price. Even though it’s smaller than the Lovehoney Luxury Throw, it’s still more expensive! And, of course, “if you’re into play that requires greater liquid volumes like sploshing or watersports you may want to consider upgrading to the full size throw!”.
