My Verdict
I'm sold on the Liberator Fascinator Throw — if you enjoy messy sex of any kind, and lets face it some of the best sex is messy, this is well worth the investment! While I have been very impressed with the throw's absorbency, it pays to have realistic expectations — if you are spilling a large amount of liquid onto it very quickly, you are likely to get some pooling, as the velvet fabric has a limit to what it can absorb. The only downside for me is the price. I would think about how many uses you are going to get out of it — if it's something you will use often, I think it's well worth the money, but if it's only going to get used once in a while, it might not be such a good investment.

I’ve wanted a sex blanket for a while now, as I HATE having to change the sheets after a really great session. Plus, I really love the feel of Liberator’s microvelvet, so I already kind of knew this was going to be a hit, and I wasn’t disappointed! The velvety fabric feels super luxurious and soft against your skin, which helps you to forget that it’s a waterproof blanket once you are lying on it. Plus, there’s no horrible plastic crinkly sound as you might expect from a waterproof blanket. There is a slight sound when you shake it around but not once it’s flat on the bed. Think I love most about the Liberator Fascinator throw is the freedom of not to worry about making a mess so you can be fully in the moment. I feel like I can enjoy squirting or period sex much more knowing that I can just chuck this blanket in the wash and my bed will be clean and dry after! It’s also really great for protecting against lube stains! Not to mention, it offers better protection than a towel and it’s a whole lot sexier! I was so happy to get the black version as it matches my Libertor Jaz pillow, and I love using them together! If you want a cheaper or more travel-friendly option, the Fascinator Throw also comes in a travel size version.Design Elements that Define the Liberator Fascinator
The Liberator Fascinator has a very simple but stylish design that isn't distracting in any way, which I really like! It seems that older designs had a velvety side and satin side but newer ones, like this one, are micro-velvet on both sides, which I'm happy about as it feels beautifully soft and I'm not a huge fan on satin materials. Also, it's available in five different colors, so you can find one that matches your decor.
The Usability of the Liberator Fascinator
The Fascinator is super easy to whip out when you need it and stays put pretty well, as it has a slight weight and thickness to it that holds it down. It's also super easy to clean up after, as you can chuck it in the washing machine. I also love how small and neat it folds up — I can store mine in my bedside draw so it's always ready to go!
Quality of the Liberator Fascinator
The Liberator Fascinator throw is fantastic quality. The material is soft and sensual a feels lovely against your skin. It also washes well and dries quickly and doesn't crease. The waterproof layer does give it a slight rigidity and a bit of a crunchy sound, but only when you really crumple it or shake it around and that's just the payoff for having nice dry sheets!
Breaking Down the Cost of the Liberator Fascinator
Like most of Liberators products, the Fascinator throw is a bit of an investment, but it's a small price to pay for not having to change the sheets after a good session! I would say it's a worthwhile purchase if you are a squirter, want to have period sex, or get up to any other messy antics in the bedroom.
How I think the Liberator Fascinator performed
The moisture barrier in the middle of the Liberator Fascinator Throw does a really great job of keeping your sheets clean and dry. The velvety fabric does absorb a moderate amount of fluid, but if there is a lot, it can puddle on top of the sheet, as there is a limit to what the fabric can absorb. The waterproof lining does make a noise when you crumple the throw but nothing like plastic mattress protectors, and once the throw is down on a flat surface, like a bed it doesn't make any noise.

The Fascinator Throw comes in a plastic box with a card insert. The packaging is pretty much the only thing I didn't like about the Liberator Fascinator Throw. I find Liberator's packaging a little tacky, lacking in diversity, and not at all what I would expect from a luxury brand like Liberator.

The Liberator Fascinator is made of Microvelvet, which is 100% polyester. It is super easy to clean — as soon as you are done using it, you can pop it in the washing machine. You can put it in the dryer on a cool/low heat setting, but I prefer to let mine air dry as it dries very quickly, and I want it to last as long as possible!
