Why I Chose It
The DOMINIX Deluxe Tail Butt Plug was a very clear winner, as the best tail butt plug, especially when you consider “the quality for the plug, with the price point”, then it becomes “pretty hard to beat” as Mariah, who tested it, put it.
She was “quite surprised at the weight of the plug in my hand” although she didn’t think 7 ounces sounded heavy she found the weight to “feel pretty darn good too”. As someone with a lot of experience with butt plugs, I can say that the added weight of metal butt plugs typically feels so much better during use. And, that’s also what we find is our testers experience.
Mariah hadn’t tested a tail butt plug before, and found it “adorable”, and loved that it comes “in a handful of colors”.
She also found that the long tail screws on/off, which “provide a quick clean up”, and essentially she found it gave her the “option of an entirely new toy sans tail to play with”. She did comment that the base isn’t polished, meaning it will look a bit weird when used without the tail.

Why I Chose It
Isabelle, who tested her first tail butt plug with this very extensive set for us, said “the pink bunny tail looks the best” to her, but that her “partner really enjoyed the overall look” of the two longer tails.
Even though she was initially “more interested in the longer tails” as well, they ended up being too “thick and bulky rather than cute and sexy”.
Although she “enjoyed the dressing up/role play” aspect, they did experience some difficulties with the set.
First, changing between the different tails proved to be “a little tricky”, and in fact, the attachment for the tails broke off. But, Isabelle was quickly “able to super glue the base back on”.
This did make he think of “the quality [as] mediocre at best”, and she actually thinks “the price would be very good considering you get a remote control butt plug and three different tails.”
In terms of the vibrations in the plug, she said they were “a little buzzy” but actually “very quiet”.
The last thing I’ll note from her review is that she found it “doesn’t state whether the plug is waterproof”, so in my expert opinion, you should simply assume it isn’t. Overall considering the price, you get a ton of versatility with this plug. Making it a fantastic starting point for any beginner.

Why I Chose It
Overall Ashley, who tested the bunny tail butt plug from Eden fantasy for us felt it was “adorable” and that the “tail makes it more cute to use”.
She describes the tail faux fur as “very soft and plush feeling”, and overall think it “feels very luxurious”. Most of this probably comes down to her lack of experience with silicone butt plugs, as they are often made with a soft silicone that in return feels luxurious.
She did try to pull on the tail and that makes the attachment come off, but during sex it didn’t “even during some roughage, it stayed perfectly in place”.
Overall, she found the “the silicone plug is very light”, which isn’t always what you want from a plug, which might also why she said that “it didn’t feel like too much” when inserted, because of the lacking weight.
The last comment I’ll add is that the construction is made so that the tail is attached with a pin, this is potentially dangerous if the tail detached/breaks during use. Of course, I doubt this will become an issue, but a construction like this doesn’t deserve a test winning spot in my mind – but it does make for a great cheap tail butt plug

How to Choose Your Ideal Tail Butt Plug
It might be tempting to click “Buy Now” on the first cute plug you see but you should actually put some thought into your next furry tail butt plug!
Below, we’ve written a short list of factors for you to consider (as well as why they actually matter!) while searching for your new favorite plug.
- Plug Size – There are many different sizes of butt plugs available, so you shouldn’t have any trouble finding the right size. If you’re new to anal play then we’d recommend starting with more conservative options (you can always work your way up to larger toys!).
- Plug Shape – The shape of the plug will affect two things: how easy the toy is to insert & how it feels during insertion/removal. Plugs with taped tips are the easiest to insert, and those with a longer taper will be even easier. While many plugs are smooth, some companies do offer ribbed plugs that provide added stimulation during insertion/removal.
- Material – Silicone is the best soft plug material. However, glass and metal are also great options if you enjoy temperature play. All three of these materials are non-porous, meaning the plug can be sterilized after use. You’ll also want to consider the material used to make the tail. While some toys do use real animal fur, most utilize faux fur instead.
- Vibration – Although optional, many people find that using an anal vibrator is more satisfying than a simple butt plug. If you do decide to go with a vibrating toy, we’d recommend making sure that it offers enough functions (speeds & patterns) to make it worth spending the extra money for the feature.
- Ease of Cleaning – All plugs can be cleaned using antibacterial soap and warm water. Non-porous materials can be sterilized, but if your tail butt plug contains electronic components then you won’t be able to sterilize it using boiling water. Plugs with removable tails will be the easiest to clean, although it’s not too hard to clean a plug with a non-removable tail either.
