My Verdict
The Womanizer Starlet 3 features an impressive 6 levels of air-pulse stimulation, and light massage that feels absolutely incredible. And with up and down buttons, it allows you to slowly build your climax, and even bring yourself back down afterward, then up again for multiple O's. This toy is the absolute closest thing to oral sex that I have ever experienced. Plus, I love the fact that it fits my palm as if customized for me. Did Womanizer Finally Win Me Over?
When I learned I would be doing the Womanizer Starlet 3 review. to be honest, I was less than thrilled. That’s because I didn’t care for the Starlet 2 much at all, when I did that review. But if nothing else, I am open-minded when it comes to sex toys, and I am willing to give Womanizer another chance to win me over.Pretty Packaging
Right out of the gate, Womanizer wowed me with the Starlet 3 packaging. Compared to its predecessor, the packaging went from dollar store, to luxury shop in a heartbeat. It’s pretty, sturdy, reusable and so attractive! On top of that, Womanizer now offers a 5-year warranty! Now THAT I can get behind! On the other hand, you can wrap anything in a pretty box, as it’s what’s inside that counts.Knocking It Out
So, since I still wasn’t a huge Womanizer fan, I figured I would get this particular review out of the way, and save the other, better toys for later. And since it had been a bit since I destressed and was feeling on the aroused side, I knew it would do the job, if nothing else. Yes, the Starlet 3 was the same ole, cheap-looking plastic I still dislike. Contrarily, it still featured the classic, soft and comfortable silicone head I love. However, instead of the 4 okay-feeling settings, this one was bumped up to 6. I have to admit, that made me more eager to give it a spin. And that, I did.&^%#&(^%#
The title above pretty much tells you how I felt after trying the Womanizer Starlet 3. I know, I know, I said I was horny, but I was really impressed by the added settings. Hear me out on this…. I have tried several air pulse stimulators, and until recently, I thought they felt about the same. However, this time, the Starlet 3 blew my mind, and made me regret not putting down a towel! The sensation was a combination of suction and light massage at the same time. And since it comes with the standard, larger head, I was able to move it up and down, to create even more stimulation and sensations. That, combined with alternating nipple play – yes it works on nipples too – I was curling my toes and readying myself for a round 2.Positive and Negative
Overall, I LOVED the sensations and the added levels of power. Additionally, I love that the Starlet 3 comes in a variety of colors, has the soft, changeable head and now includes a 5-year warranty. Finally, the shape is perfect for holding in the palm of your hand, and it’s so lightweight, my hand and wrist didn’t get that fatigue some toys give me. However, I honestly think the price is a little too high considering it’s made of cheap-looking plastic. Sure, Womanizer makes nicer-looking clitoral air pulse stimulators and those SHOULD garner a higher price. But the Starlet 3 simply looks like a dollar store toy. Furthermore, the buttons were difficult for me to press and I couldn’t tell if the buttons had indeed clicked and moved up or down. In the end, Womanizer has changed my mind somewhat, as their air pulse technology is superior to a lot of toy brands. But, until they upgrade the plastic, I’ll still go for another model or brand, where I feel I am getting my money’s worth. Though, that is only MY opinion, and my love for expensive-looking sex toys.Design
I'm leaving the design rating right in the middle, as there are things I love about the Starlet 3, and some things, not so much. First and foremost, the Starlet 3 is light weight and shaped to fit beautifully in the palm of your hand. The silicone head feels awesome, and creates a fantastic seal. Plus the fact that you can purchase different sizes of heads, really makes it customizable. On the downside, the hard plastic looks cheap. It just does. So, it's far from a luxurious, high-end toy, yet it comes with a premium price tag. Womanizer, do better! I mean, add some pretty, floral trim or something!
Ease of Use
Again, the Starlet 3 by Womanizer gets a middle-of-the-road rating on ease of use. I love that it charges fast, is extremely easy to use and hold. It's also light weight, therefore prevents fatigue in the wrist and hand. However, the buttons are simply hard to press. Sometimes they click and move to the next speed, and sometimes, they don't. And that's frustrating when you're in the thick of things. Finally, as much as I dislike magnetic chargers, this one isn't too terribly bad, and gets the job done.
Quality
Oh Womanizer, I wish I could give you a higher rating on this. But it's like putting a $10,000 engine in a $500, rusted-out car - it's got the power and torque, but it just looks bad. The Starlet 3 looks like the Dollar Tree version of a sex toy. It's made from plastic, although it comes in a variety of really, gorgeous colors. Because of the plastic though, it makes the buttons harder to press, and sometimes they just don't click. Otherwise, it works well, is considerably quiet and the head is comfortable, and creates an awesome seal. It's reliable, and comes with a warranty, I simply wish it looked better.
Price
If we are going on performance alone, yes, the Starlet 3 is worth every penny! I mean, the Womanizer's patented air-pulse sensations are unique and epic, when compared with other brands. The packaging is beautiful and a definite upgrade from the Starlet 2, as you can use it for storage. It includes a nice, magnetic USB charger, the usual owner's manual and a full 5-year warranty. And the fact that you can buy additional heads in different sizes, makes it customizable. However, the plastic looks and feels cheap. But if you don't mind the look, yes, it is worth the price.
Performance
Performance-wise, the Womanizer Starlet 3 packs a powerful punch with air pulses that feel like an incredible combo of suction and massage. The 6 levels of power allows you to work your way up, into a frenzy, get off, then go low and slow and work your way up to another, earth-shattering climax. It's not very noisy, at all, especially when it's suctioned to your body. It runs smoothly, doesn't overheat, and runs for 30 minutes on a 30-minute charge. Yes, the Starlet 3 is a superstar in a world of acceptable clitoral suckers.
Packaging
I love, love, love the Starlet 3 packaging! It's so pretty, sturdy and keep-worthy, for sure. The outer box has the safety seals, for your protection. After breaking those, a drawer slides out of the side, revealing the Starlet 3 and the charger. Everything else is tucked neatly underneath the cardboard holders. The box has all of the information you need to know about the toy without graphic, adult photos. Therefore, there are no worries about little eyes seeing something naughty. Overall, I am impressed and thrilled that Womanizer stepped up their packaging game on the Starlet 3!
Materials and care
The Womanizer Starlet 3 is predominantly made from hard plastic, making it lightweight, and incredibly easy to wipe down with soap and water. It's also waterproof, so you can use it in the shower or bath, all the while adding to the ease of cleaning. The silicone head is removable, so you can get underneath, and clean every nook and cranny. And, of course, the head can also be washed with soap and water, a sex toy cleaner or wipe that is silicone-safe. The Starlet 3 doesn't come with a storage bag, however the outer and inner boxes are nicely made and sturdy enough to use for storage, for years to come.
