My Verdict
Overall, I really enjoy the Aneros Progasm. While not my go-to prostate massager, the Progasm is in constant rotation with the rest. I highly recommend the Progasm as a second or third prostate massager, especially for someone who has been using other Aneros devices. Compared to the old Aneros Progasm, the new design has all of the good and greatly improves on the bad. If you already have the old model, it is still worth picking up the new Progasm. If you are looking to move into a Progasm and don't yet have one, I would recommend skipping the old model and jumping into this new one.

About The Aneros Progasm
Aneros prostate massagers are some of the most pleasurable toys on the market. Their shape is balanced to respond to muscle contractions for a hands-free prostate massage. The new Aneros Progasm Black Ice is a redesign of Aneros' original Progasm Ice model, keeping everything that made the original Progasm great, Aneros improved on the areas where the old model was lacking. The larger size of the Progasm gives more of a filling sensation while its shape is aimed at more focused prostate stimulation.

Personal Experience
The original Aneros Progasm was my second Aneros device, after the Helix Trident. I felt at the time that the Helix Trident was too small, not working for me, and that I needed something bigger to hit my prostate. Even though I was incorrect about the Helix, the Aneros Progasm was instantly amazing. I went back to the Progasm often but there was one major drawback: It would come flying out during orgasm when having sex. Then, Aneros redesigned the Progasm to get the product I am reviewing today: the New Aneros Progasm. But, it’s still just called the Progasm.
Progasm Black Ice
The new Progasm improves upon the old in two ways. First, Aneros got rid of the flat tab on the bottom of the device. I don’t know what this thing did but if you forgot about it and sat up, you were in for a shock. Second, they subtly redesigned the shape so that it stays nestled firmly in place leaving you free to enjoy your orgasm.Progasm Is Bigger
The main draw to the Progasm is its size, especially for those coming from the butt plug world. At first, the smaller Aneros prostate massagers feel too small to most people familiar with plugs, the Helix Trident definitely did to me. The Progasm fills that gap (no pun intended). In the realm of things, the Progasm is not a large toy, it’s just bigger than its Aneros peers. Right off the bat, I felt the pressure against my prostate and for a while this was my go-to toy for prostate relaxation. Its larger girth puts more pressure on the prostate so you don’t have to wait as long for the buildup that prostate massage usually takes to reach the pleasure.But Still Easy to Use
I would not recommend the Progasm for most beginners, but to the adventurous ones and anyone with anal experience, I say go for it. The slick ABS Plastic material that is responsible for the “Ice” in the name is very smooth and makes insertion super easy. Once coated in lube, the Progasm slides right into place and gets to work on you pleasure spot. Using just the Progasm is pleasurable enough, but my favorite way to utilize this device is to warm up with it for a while, then switch to one of the smaller devices like the Helix or MGX. The Progasm gets things opened and loose which then allows the smaller toy to move more freely. My second favorite use of the Progasm is during sex. The more focused pressure makes sex and orgasm way more intense.Design
The redesigned Aneros Progasm takes all of the best parts of its predecessor and improves on some of the drawbacks. The slick "Ice" material that the Progasm is made of allows the device to move freely without resistance. The ball-style K and P-tabs greatly reduce irritation and the slight size increase makes the device hit the right spot to stay in place.
Ease of Use
While smaller than a lot of plugs out there, the Aneros Progasm is less of a beginner toy but still easy for most people to insert. There are no moving parts and your body does most of the work. The Progasm is a toy that you could insert, relax, and enjoy the pleasure.
Quality
As with all of the Aneros products, the quality of the Progasm is superb. The "Ice" material is strong and slick; it feels like glass without the chance of shattering.
Price
At about $60, the Aneros Progasm is a good value. It's not a cheap toy, but for the quality, it outperforms many toys over $100. The Progasm will be with you for a long time as it has no chance of wearing out.
Performance
The Aneros Progasm is larger then the other Aneros devices, limiting its performance in massaging the prostate by moving. Where the Progasm shines, however, is in how it fills the volume and keeps constant pressure on the prostate.
Packaging
Aneros' packaging is elegant and well designed. The box looks like a book and latches with magnets when shut. Inside, the Progasm rests in a form-fitting cradle which can be removed to store multiple toys discretely.
Materials and care
The Aneros Progasm is made of some new FDA approved, award winning plastic that is meant to replace glass. The feel is smooth and non-porous, making cleanup a breeze. Mild soap and water cleans the Progasm to a shine and the slick material has no way to hold on to bacteria.
