How were the Warming Lubes tested?
I may not look like a scientist, but I have been pretty nerdy about how these lubes have been tested, in a programme that I have called ‘The Lube Lab’ – A testing system that I have set up in order to highlight to pro and cons of each lube, in a number of different categories;
- I tested the lubes in a number of different categories, such as taste and smell, the bottle design and the viscosity of each lube. All the lubes went through he same tests, to make it fair.
- 32 different lubes were tested in the Lube Lab testing programme, from water-based lubes to hybrid lubes.
- All the lubes were then compared against one another, to show you which would be your best match – see the table below to see the similarities and differences between these warming lubes

System JO Warming is a sexual lubricant that has a warming feature; when rubbed against the skin it heats up, adding temperature play to your sex life. It comes in a tall, plastic bottle with a click-close lid, that is easy to squeeze and direct the lube to your desired area. This lube is water based, meaning it can be used with any sex toy material or condom type, as well as being a thick, coating lube, so it would even be great for anal toys! the best part, this lube doesn’t become tacky and is easy to wash off the skin. It is FDA approved and has a pH balance of 6, meaning that is is more acidic than alkali. This is great for vulva owners, as it attempts to match a vulva’s natural pH, therefore reducing the risk of infections!

I have always been a fan of System JO, and their warming lube is no exception! I really loved it – It is thick enough to coat even the largest of sex toys, as well as warming up to a reasonably hot temperature. It doesn’t get too hot, so if you’re one for more intense heat, then I would recommend the Intimate Earth Mojo Horny Goat Weed warming lube instead! The packaging is eye-catching and attractive, as well as being a great sized bottle to fit in my hand. I hate lubes that I have to think about and re-apply, so this one was great, as I really trusted it to last as long as I did. It was easy to was off the skin and toys, as well as not leaving a stain on my bed sheets. Not many downfalls at all, I need to buy more bottles!!

It warming feature is activated by friction, so it would be great to use during foreplay with a partner. This lube has a pH balance of 6, showing that it is slightly acidic, which is great for vulva owners. The bottle is made of thin plastic, meaning that it is easy to squeeze and the lube can be aimed accurately on whatever you’d like it to go on; skin or a toy.

Verdict
Fleshlube Fire is not the hottest on the market, but it does warm you up! I would recommend this warming lube to beginners, as I think it is a great introductory temperature lube, that doesn’t have too many features that would overwhelm a first time user. However, it is no the thickest lube on the market, so I wouldn’t recommend it for rigorous sexual activity, like anal for example. If you wanted a thicker lube, I would recommend the Intimate Earth Melt Warming lube instead. With Fleshlube’s fun packaging and compatibility with all sex toy and condom materials, it’s a great lube that adds a little more excitement to your bedroom fun!

If you’re looking for something hot, then this lube is definitely the one for you! Out of all the lubes, I think the packaging design is the best – an eye-catching and attractive design that entices you to buy the product. This lube has a neutral pH reading of 7, and also having a slight sweet taste. This lube is perfect for you if you’re looking for a warming lube that really gets you feeling warm, as well as a great match for those large anal toys!

Feeling hot hot hot! This fiery lube will be sure to make you feeling hot under the collar – I loved it! It is a thick lube that definitely coats toys and cushions. It feels hot on the skin which is exciting and more stimulating than other, more basic lubes, which I loved, especially as someone who enjoys temperature play! If you’re someone who doesn’t like intense heat, then maybe start of with a lube that doesn’t get too warm, like the Fleshlube Fire. The Intimate Earth bottle designs are my favourite! They are so eye-catching and I think the bottle design is very important, as for me it is a big selling point! It’s one of the pricer lubes on the market, but I think it is worth it. One of my favourites on the market!

If you’re looking for a lube that does it all; coats sex toys, warms you up AND tastes good?! Then this is your lucky day. Make it feel like Christmas every day, with this tasty cinnamon lube! I love the way it is so thick and coating on the skin and on sex toys, it really lasts for a long time and you don’t have to re-apply often! The warming features on this lube are quite intense, so if you were looking for something a little less warm, then I would recommend the System JO warming lube. Yet, if you were looking for something really hot, I would choose the older brother of the 2 intimate earth warming lubes; the Mojo Horny Goat Weed warming lube. That certainly steams things up!
