My Verdict
I see the vision.. but it's not for me, I think this toy could be good for some, but probably not for most people. Although the design is super cute, it's honestly my favorite part, it just doesn't sit right. For me personally the insertable part is too small, and the wings are cute, but super uncomfortable! It just does not fit my body type, and was only uncomfortable when using.. The vibrations are not particularly strong and I really didn't feel much at all.

About The CalExotics Connect Venus Butterfly
The Venus Butterfly is a cute lilac clit and g-spot vibrator with an app to control it. As it's name suggests, the clit section has a butterfly wing design, with an insertable g-spot vibe, as well some antennas at the top! It has 2 motors, one that controls the vibration for the clit and one for the shaft. The toy is fully surrounded by silicone and is very flexible to adjust different bodies.

Personal Experience
First Impressions
The Venus Butterfly is one of the cutest rabbit vibrators I have seen, there are not many rabbit toys that look as aesthetically appealing as this one! The feeling of the silicone it okay, when it arrives it did have a powder feeling texture on it which was a little off putting, a thorough wash helped but it does come back as it collect dust. I was slightly disappointed with the size of the toy- the shaft is quite small for me personally, but I was very excited to see how the design would effect how the toy feels!First Time Trying the Butterfly
I honestly could not find a nice way to use this butterfly vibe on my body. The clit vibe did not sit in the right place, and when it did the shaft was in an uncomfortable angle, and vice versa. The vibrations are also quite weak, especially if you are not particularly sensitive, so I felt little to nothing. There is no where to ‘grab’ on to the toy so if you enjoy thrusting your toys it’s definitely not for you, and the wings on the clit vibe really dull out and spread the intensity around rather than focusing it on one spot. The toy does have some antenna silicone bits, but they are too flimsy to provide any feeling and I think they are mostly there for the look. The vibrations are also very buzzy, and though they are not intense, but if the angle is wrong or there is too much pressure in one place, it can feel really intense and very ‘sharp’. One also mildly frustrating aspect is that you can only control the shaft and clit separately if you use the app as it only has one button that cycles both parts though the same vibrations and patterns.Testing Out the App!
Finding and setting up this app was a very tedious task. Finding the app itself was okay, but I had a lot of issues actually getting the toy to connect, even when following the instructions. The app itself has a few interesting features, the classic mode which allows you to control each vibrator separately, changing the intensity and patterns, as well as modes that sync to videos, some simple in app games, and music. If you want to use anything other than the classic mode you will have to create an account, otherwise they are inaccessible. The app definitely does make the toy more enjoyable, but there are a lot of connection issues and bugs that effect the toys vibrations which can really spoil the mood.Trying Something Different
I did also test if this is a toy that you could wear out and about, which also did not work in my favor.. The toy is barely audible when you’re wearing clothes over it so I think some people may be able to use it in that way, but for me, the wings stabbed into my thighs, and no matter the angle or repositioning, it was too uncomfortable to move around with it.Final Opinions
Nothing about this toy worked for me, the shape didn’t fit me, it was too weak and buzzy and I generally found myself getting frustrated and unable to get anywhere. I think some people would be able to find good use out of it, I just do not think I am one of those people.Design
In an aesthetic sense the design of this toy is super cute, it's very visually appealing and the lilac color suits the toy really well. Though the toy is not necessarily discrete, it's clearly a toy that definitely focused a lot on design, and making it look nice. The wings extrude past the clit vibrator and kind of spread out the vibrations, and the shaft has some small texture details on the tip but they are not significant enough to feel during use. For me the design does not fit my body type, the shaft is quite small and the wings stop me from feeling much at all, and if you close your legs the wings stab your thighs in a very uncomfortable way.
Ease of Use
There are quite a few limitations if you only plan on using the toy, without the use of the app. On the toy itself there is only one button, and on/off button, that also cycles the vibration level and patterns. They toy does have separate motors for each part, but if you DONT use the app, they both follow the same vibration level/pattern and cannot be controlled separately. The app was also not the easiest to use. Finding the code to pair, navigating the app, and some weird bugs the app has, it was not a very easy process. Otherwise the toy was easy enough to use, once you put it in place it does not really move much, and is mostly hands free!
Quality
The silicone is very flexible, especially in the wings, but the feeling when rubbing the silicone is quite off putting. It arrived with a powdery feeling, and even after washing it didn't fully go away. The silicone also collects dust, and even wiping it dry after washing the toy collects so much dust, it never feels fully clean. The silicone in some places is not very strong, if the antennas get pulled too hard it would most likely tear. The sound however is extremely quiet and discrete, it definitely is the most quiet toy I have used.
Price
I personally do not think the Venus Butterfly is worth the price and I think there are many other toys for similar prices that would be better suited for most people. When you receive the toy the box comes with your toy, a charger, and a manual. It does not come with any storage bag, so you will have to keep it in the box or a bag of your own if you want to avoid dust sticking to it. I think the vibrations strength could really be improved, and for the price, I was really disappointed with the lack of intensity of the toy.
Performance
I'm not sure what exactly I was expecting from this toy but I do not think it toy performed well. The design of the wings are not very comfortable, and sometimes hurt if it was at the wrong angle. The toys vibrations are not very strong, and are quite underwhelming. It's usability as a 'public' toy is also not ideal, it is discrete enough and cannot be heard when wearing under clothes, but the wings stab into your thighs, and the angle of the shaft just doesn't sit in the right place. The toy heavily relies on the app for all its features, but it is not particularly fun to use, and its got some frustrating bugs.
Packaging
The look of the packaging is okay, it's quite basic and just shows a photo of the toy and some written information about some of the toys features. It it definitely not discrete, and it is not the most beautiful packaging but it does what it needs to. The box shows the information needed to use the toy, also mentioning it is waterproof, as well as having a QR code that takes users to download the app. It does keep the toy securely in place with some foam, even after shipping it was where it was supposed to be, so it definitely protects the toy!
Materials and care
The shaft and clit vibrator is made of body safe, non porous silicone, however it does need to be thoroughly washed before the first and each use as it collects dust heavily. It can be cleaned with any silicone safe sex toy cleaner and wiped dry with a soft cloth. The toy is 100% waterproof, so there is not worry of damaging the toy during cleaning. It does not come with any storage bag, but can be kept in the box for storage as the box does not take up much space. Similarly to all silicone toys, only water and some oil-based lubes can be used. Silicone lube is not safe to use on this toy, and oil-based should be cleaned immediately after use to prevent damage.
