Oh…Wow…

Those were the first words my wife said when we unboxed the Doc Johnson Be Naughty Vibrating Hollow Strap-On Set. She was of course talking about the large dong which, at 8 inches in length and 2 inches wide, was indeed very intimidating at first glance. The slim and the bulbed dongs, while still impressive, are more in line size wise with the other toys and we own and love. As we went over the contents of the box and she was able to get her hands on each of the three hollow dildos the first thing we noticed was how rigid each of them were. All of the other dildos we own, while not necessarily realistic in shape, have a much softer, more flesh-like feel to them, so we knew that these would take a little bit of getting used to on our part. With the unboxing done, we put the harness together and got it on the charger. We also grabbed 2 AAA batteries and put them into the wireless remote that comes with this set. The harness couldn’t have been easier to put together, with just 4 snaps it only took about 30 seconds from getting it out of the box for it to be ready for use. Lastly the kit comes with detailed assembly, use and cleaning instructions, complete with pictures.

Putting it Together

With the harness charged and the batteries in the remote we slotted each of the three hollow dildos into the harness. Each dildo has two tabs that fit into the harness on either side of the circular opening that the shaft goes through. The tabs had a satisfying pop when they went in and both my wife and I tried with varying amounts of force to push the dildos back out of the harness. To our pleasant surprise, all three stayed put and we were very confident that there wouldn’t be any surprise malfunctions or slippage while we were using them. Next, we tested the vibration. You can use either the buttons on the harness itself or the wireless remote to control the 10 different vibration settings, we found that the placement of the buttons on the harness was a little awkward for changing settings during actual sex and preferred to use the remote. Unfortunately, the vibration is limited to the wearer only and only the wearer. The placement of the vibrator would probably not have been an issue if the vibrations were a little more rumbly instead of buzzy like they were, and even on the lowest setting were quite intense. As it stands the buzzy vibrations were focused mainly on my perineum and did not penetrate far enough to give me any meaningful stimulation.

Try This on for Size

Once we had the harness charged and put together with the smallest of the three dildos locked in place it was time to put it on. One thing to remember, as with any toy you’re going to be sticking your penis into, lubricant is your friend! We quickly realized is that using it for an extended period of time will require A LOT of lubricant, both for the wearer if they happen to have a penis and the person being penetrated. The harness itself was actually quite comfortable with the elastic stretching nicely while staying in place, even with a lot of movement. The inside of the dildo itself felt pleasant enough. It is just a smooth, hollow center with no textures, so if you are looking for something a little more stimulating while wearing it, this is not the toy for you. Now that we made sure it fit properly and would stay in place it was time to get down to business!

Slow and Steady Wins the Race

As stated above, we used a generous amount of lubricant for these toys as these were a little more rigid than the toys we normally use for penetration. We noticed a difference from other dildos in our collection because of that rigidity and the size we did have to go quite slow during the initial insertion, this was true with all three of the dildos. These dildos do not offer much in the way of sensation for the wearer as they are made from some pretty thick silicone and that, coupled with the lackluster vibration function, do not make this a good set for some one who is looking to enhance their own pleasure as the wearer. I quickly realized that I needed to be a little more mindful while using these dildos as there was no sensation for me, which could some times cause me to go a little faster or deeper than was comfortable for my wife. We eventually worked up to the largest of the dildos and while the girth was right on that verge of being too much that we like in our toys, the length was almost excessive for us.

Final Thoughts

While we had fun with the Doc Johnson Be Naughty Vibrating Hollow Strap-On Set, I wish that it was just a little bit better product. The variety of the dildos is nice but there could be more. Some more flexibility or a curve would be a welcome addition to these dildos. The biggest problem I had with this set was the lack of sensation that I as the wearer felt. I feel like adding some texture to the inside of the dildos and reworking the vibrator to be more rumbly than buzzy would be a huge upgrade and make this a much more enjoyable product to use.
