Why I Chose It
I had the pleasure of testing the Tantus Cush myself and I absolutely loved this dildo. At the time, it was my first ever dual-density dildo, and I was officially a dual-density convert right then and there. The outer layer is nice and soft but it still feels nice and solid because of the firm core. It actually feels slightly more firm and “erect” compared to the Vixen Maverick.
The gradient design is stunning and I like that the shape isn’t so obviously realistic. It could be a good option for someone who prefers more of a non-representational dildo. I like that the raised ridge in the middle of the shaft delivers more texture to the experience. Although, it’s not ideal for complete beginners since it can create more friction during vigorous penetration and requires a lot of lube.
That said, the size and the lifelike feel makes it a good substitute for the real thing. While using it with my partner, I found out that it works beautifully for some semi-realistic company in the bedroom. Of course, I would have loved for it to have a suction cup base, so that does limit its versatility. But, on the bright side, the flat base works great in a strap-on harness.

This is my recommendation for the best dual-density dildo for complete beginners. The slim-line design is the main reason this one performs best for beginners. The head, even with the realistic glans feature, is also nice and tapered which makes insertion a lot easier.
The length and girth makes it really accessible and versatile. The suction cup makes it great for hands-free solo use, great for anal play, ideal for double penetration during partnered fun, and fits nicely in a strap-on as well. Our tester, Alice, also “used the Blush Neo Elite 7.5″ Dual Density Dildo in a number of ways, and each of them worked wonderfully”.
Even though the softness does make it great for beginners, it did sometimes leave Alice with the “sensation that the penis (she) had inside of (her) was a bit flaccid”. Like many others, she does tend to prefer more sturdy dildos in general, but this didn’t deter her overall enjoyment.

The Vixen Maverick quickly became a favorite in my collection, particularly for its realistic feel and satisfying size. While the Maverick requires more warm-up compared to other toys because of its girth, I’d say the effort is definitely worth it for the fulfilling experience it provides. Now, the Vixen Johnny is my top pick for the most realistic dual-density dildo. Let’s start with the obvious. The design features some hyper-realistic details that makes this dildo look just like the real thing. Even our tester, Kasia, was “a bit weirded out by how realistic it looked, but after some time, (she) started admiring how beautiful (and big!) this penis was”.
Similar to the Vixen Maverick, “Johnny looks intimidating, but it doesn’t feel as huge as it looks, because of how soft and squishy it is”. The girth still provides a feeling of fullness and adds pressure to the internal erogenous zones but still feels more “comfortable and natural than you’d experience with a regular large dildo”.

How to Choose the Best Dual Density Dildo

We recommend considering the following factors if you want to find the best dual density dildo for your personal pleasures!
- Size – Whether you prefer short, long, thick, or thin dildos, the size of your new toy is definitely important. Make sure to find a toy that will satisfy you, but don’t forget to think ahead: massive toys will require sufficient storage space if you’re shooting for discretion!
